Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thank you for the support. All is fine, I don't want to fall prey for HID again. So where do I find the ceramic H4 holder?. I think the following are requiredOriginally posted by shrey1992 View PostHere you go:-
Philips- 12569 RA 12V 100/90W P43t-38 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00JGN7RRG/..._y9VvwbK2MRE6E
Philips H4 EsentialVision Headlights 12V, 100/90W | 12569EVB1 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00V3QVSNS/..._UaWvwb2BFQV4X
1. Philips 100/90W bulb
2. Relay + wiring kit for high wattage
3. H4 Ceramic socket (any online link?)
4. Any reflector coating?(prevent it from melting)
Except the Ceramic socket which I'm unsure if available in my City rest I think is procurable. Hopefully I will get some info next week.
Thanks bro.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
This post is for all those who want to upgrade to a 100/90W setup, but are confused in the wiring and coupler and relay.
Below is the image of a relay wiring kit.

This is a wiring kit for a 100/90W upgradation for cars, but can be altered to be used in bikes.
Close up images of different parts are below:
H4 ceramic coupler with a Nylon 66 plastic cover.

Fuses (For short circuit protection)

Battery Thimble (Positive) (for bulb)

Headlight coupler (for low beam / high beam signals)

Coupler for headlight relay

Headlight Relay

Now, since this is for cars, that's why there are two H4 couplers and two fuses. A bike electrician can alter this wiring harness so that it can be installed in a bike.Vrooming Soul..!!

A picture explains more than a 1000 words. Excellent bro. Thanks for sharing. I'm clear now. So basically these things have to be bought from car accessory shop. So one more doubt, the connection to this 100/90W bulb using this high current wires should be directly tapped out from Battery right?. Meanwhile, break the switchgear wire and put this relay and bypass the high current path to relay, right?.Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostThis post is for all those who want to upgrade to a 100/90W setup, but are confused in the wiring and coupler and relay.

Also I can stay with stock reflector itself?, should I worry about it melting due to excess heat?.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
So your bike has lost some weight it seems, maybe 1-2KGs?, numplate, holder, pillion saree guardOriginally posted by NitSpeed200 View PostTidy tail and integrated turn indicators work completed. Will post the pics tomorrow
Where will you place the number plate and num.plate lamp?. Keep updating...!!! Kind of looks plain, but quite distinct. I was actually thinking to change that parallel strip of tail light to something different

I kept back the rear hugger and grab rails. Removed saree guard. I bolted the number plate on the rear hugger. Will post clear pics tomorrow morning as it is dark now😁Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostSo your bike has lost some weight it seems, maybe 1-2KGs?, numplate, holder, pillion saree guard

Yes, a headlight wiring kit can be bought at any accessories shop at about ₹500 +/- ₹100.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostA picture explains more than a 1000 words. Excellent bro. The positive battery thimble goes directly on the battery. That's how the 100W load is eliminated from the stock wiring.
No need of cutting or splitting any stock wire, that black male would also be present inside the headlamp assembly (if bajaj follows H4 standard), you just need to remove stock coupler and insert this.
If they haven't given this type of coupler, then splitting of wires is necessary.
The stock projector should be able to handle a 100W bulb. Few fellow xBhpians had tried a 100W setup on stock reflector previously and none of them stated any problem.Vrooming Soul..!!

Which engine oil do you use?Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHey guys

If you revv your engine at about 7 or 8K and above for some time, a noticeable burning smell is present, its perfectly normal.
If you have Motul 7100, the burning smell produced by that oil is good rather than the smell produced by Bajaj Dtsi oil.Vrooming Soul..!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I use 7100.yes the smell is less compared to before. It does produce smell but after 10-15 min it goes off. So it's normal? But for how many kilometers will the smell be thereOriginally posted by shrey1992 View PostWhich engine oil do you use?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Compared to RS 200 there won't be significant weight loss, because the tail unit alone on a RS 200 weighs at around 800 gm or 1.2 kg.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostSo your bike has lost some weight it seems, maybe 1-2KGs?, numplate, holder, pillion saree guard

But tail tidy is a great idea.
