        • Got my RED NS today.....feels like heaven!!!

After riding the bike for 40 kms now and by it looks and quality(panel, switches, paint job) there is only 1 word in my mind right now..... CLASSY!!!
I did not feel any fuss at all, the gear shift is smooth and no false neutrals. Ride posture is a cool combination of sporty and comfy, felt no pressure on palms.

One and only con I noticed was the turning radius, felt it was quite big and a full U turn is tough. Handling is quite nimble and it remains control all the time. Loved the braking of this bike, the bite is awesome and rear brake does not brings it to n abrupt halt(was my notion.)

However as soon I reached my office I noticed the coolant oil leaking, immediatly took it back to SVC and they said that it is overflowing and coming out from the airpipe(pics below). After the excess coolant dropped there was no leakage. I could hear the radiator fan after 3-4 KM of ride in traffic.

          Here are some pics:

          Coolant Leaking pic:

The pipe from where coolant was leaking:

I am planning to switch to Motul Mineral oil after 80 KMs.

If you think you got your bike fast, wait till i tell you how fast I got mine. I was going to office one day (two weeks ago), I saw that beautiful yellow bike on display, decided to buy it. Went in the evening for enquiry, asked them whether they would give the bike on display as it was perfect, paid in full, and rode home 70kms. All the enquiry and purchase happened in 1hour. now beat that, and to beat that, my bike got registered in 2days from purchase. For the last bike(my fazer) I had to give a daily visit for 2 weeks for the paperwork itself. For me the bike is not only fast on road, but anything regarding it has also been very fast.

Congrats on your new Bike...You can change the oil with filter at 250Kms, then at 1,000 Kms, and thereafter at every 2K Kms or as advised by ASC...but the first two oil changes with filter at 250 and at 1,000 kms are important to drain away all metal particles that accumulate in any new engine.stick to Motul mineral 20w50 initially.
              Good Luck..

                • Has anybody got rid of that buzzing sound from the headlight console. I have observed that it happens only at certain rpms and that too near the tacho at around 4000to6000 rpm

Thanks psr sir, was searching for some senior's advice on the oil thread

By the way is there any relation between the air filter and the engine oil? Why is the air filter needs to be changed early in the new bikes?

If you are referring to my saying "change oil with filter " I meant the Oil filter...Air filter under normal circumstances lasts for 10,000 Kms and then must be replaced. If the bike is used in dusty/smoky/industrial area the air filter may last just 5,000 kilometers only..it all depends on the environment.
There is absolutely no relation between the Air Filter and Oil change intervals in any engine.
But an Air filter that allows dust particles to go through will surely make the engine oil go bad quickly.

Oh!!! I am sorry, have very little basic knowledge, will surely change it with engine oil. Thanks again for the guidance.

Even I have that buzzing sound. The RPM range mentioned by you is perfectly matching with mine. So did you find any solution to the problem?
Being best is not about beating everyone. It's about how much you learn from others and make yourself even better

Guys... What you are referring to is the Rattling noise which kicks inat 3500RPM and its is heard till 5000RPM... after which it disappears. A friend of mine who has a P200NS told me that he got it fixed. Apparently, the sound is coming from the key whole. He said that the mechanic sprayed some Lube in it and it stopped. Hearing that, I tried the same, but the noise is still there. It could be because he used a thicker lube. I was using the 3M Chain Lube.

Do Check this out and tell me how it goes.

the vibration you guys are talking about is the resonance vibration, every bike has it.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
                                #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.
