Called up Shreeram bajaj Ghatkopar... he said NO TEST RIFE !!Originally posted by tejas1509 View PostI will call him tomorrow and update the same here...
Btw my friends want me to buy RE ... i also had a small ride on 500 classic... but that being outta my budget, I have finalized P200 NS ... Hope i am making a correct decision...
... quoted 99,200 OTR.. He also said there is no waiting but the registration process will take 15 days
Yeah, that is why i aint buying TBTSOriginally posted by Horror View PostYou won't be dis-appointed.
The RE has a 6 month waiting period by the way. :P
Yep you cant compare them... My heart is with RE but not buying it cos of waiting period, cost, maintenance cost, iron rusting in Mumbai rains and P200 NS will be my first bike... I dont have much idea about bikes... and to maintain RE you need to know your bike in and out...

no i never added water to it, the coolant was topped up during the first service, it was from a sealed container poured in front of me...Originally posted by psr View PostThis is Oxidized coating like MG had said...did you or the ASC try to add normal water at any time ? take it to ASC and get it attended ASAP
any suggestion as to what needs to be done....?? I dont want the SVC guys to tell me its normal or stuff like that... will bleeding it out and pouring fresh one help...??
The sludge seems to have increased after I went for a ride on the yamuna expressway and drove it between 110-120 continuously for an hour, also after that one hour ride the bike refused to start and had to be left for half an hour to cool down only then it started again....

Boss, that looks quite Oxidized. Change it ASAP.
If the SVC guys tell that it's normal, tell them that u will mail to C. Care, with the Pictures. See the magic then.
And yes, completely remove the existing coolant, and pour a fresh one.

Guys some one help me regarding the above quote!Originally posted by ramdante View PostJust went to check out the colors, yellow looks awesome, the new red is a bit too dark for my liking, only blue wasn't on for display
Guess I ll just go with yellow, will book tomorrow.
And some views about this guys
Tell me If the current order of oil maintenance is perfect or not!
0-60Kms - Default oil got at delivery
60-550kms(first service) - Some decent Mineral oil 20w50.
First service(550Km) - Motul 3100 20w50(Semi Synthetic) also suggest some alternatives here!!?
550-5000km - Same Motul 3100 20w50
after 5000km - Some fully synthetic!
Will this do guys? And suggest some Mineral oil and some alternatives for Motul 3100?! Thanks!

There seem to be sediments apart from Oxidation.....Get the entire Coolant drained and new Coolant filled in ASC IN FRONT OF YOU. If the bike becomes hot ,and refuses to start then definitely there seems to be an issue with coolant circulation and cooling...what was the temperature of engine after your ride ? when the engine did not start....Originally posted by Speedshift View Postno i never added water to it, the coolant was topped up during the first service, it was from a sealed container poured in front of me...

For our climate it is sufficient to have 25% coolant and 75% Distilled water as the coolant Mix.If you are going to drive in temperatures of 0 C then coolant % can be increased to 40 %...
Till you get the coolant problem sorted out try not to rev bike, and drive within 60 Kmph speed...but attend to the problem ASAP.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Thanks for kind words of appreciation..if you ,or any P200NS owner can take some pictures of the carburetor and post here , the AFR,Idle screws and TPS can be identified for everyone's benefit.Originally posted by Shibadip View Post@PSR sir- You have been immensely helpful. It is Mineral and a good oil...engine will rev better since it is 15w50, but will not cause any harm...Bike will be marginally peppy.Originally posted by Mrinalks View PostHey guys can Motul 30004t plus 15w50 be used ....m not getting the 20w50 nearbyLast edited by psr; 09-18-2012, 11:00 PM.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Thank you for the reply sir.... the bike was very hot at that time, more than it ever was before that....Originally posted by psr View PostThere seem to be sediments apart from Oxidation.....Get the entire Coolant drained and new Coolant filled in ASC IN FRONT OF YOU. AFAIK the castrol radicool is premixed so no need to add water separately.... right....???
is it possible that oil is getting mixed with the coolant and thus the milky formation...??
will be taking it to the SVC tomorrow and will update you about the developments there.....

A premix need not be diluted...Castrol Radicool contains 33% Glycol which is suitable for our climate.... the froth can also happen if the coolant is moving around at higher velocity and forms bubbles. I presume the head Gasket is not blown ,which will lead to Coolant and engine oil to mix,and will cause Engine seizure..We will know for sure when the SVC mechanic attends to it to-morrow..Originally posted by Speedshift View PostThank you for the reply sir.... the bike was very hot at that time, more than it ever was before that....

Have drove around 1400 kms & it has been a month now since i own the beast. Following are the few niggles i have faced till now:-
1. Coolant leak issue is yet to be resolved. Unable to track the leak source. Got it topped up in firs service.
2. Automatic change in idling rpm was also an issue, xbhp was quite helpful in overcoming that problem. Thanks to everyone out there who discuss the issues so heavily that newbies like me get a lot to learn.
3. Grab handle & the part on which rear foot pegs are mounted, have started to age
. Paint is peeling off, the foot peg mounting part has even started rusting. ( Need help regarding this, can this be replaced under warranty? I am really worried as it has been just a month since i bought my bike and the parts have started rusting)
4. 2 days back Tachometer has stopped working all of a sudden. It rotates once i insert the key and put it on, but remains at zero throughout the ride.
But even after all the niggles and problems faced i am still in love with my bike as the mighty heart is still revving and thrilling me every single day.
the search goes on...

Thanks for telling me the actual rate brother. Will ask other service centers also. Anyone else from Hyderabad who has purchased a center stand???Originally posted by nilesh14587 View Post
Center stand costs 590 buck or so dude...800 is too much.
Engine oil required is 1.2L for normal oil change and 1.4ltr for complete engine overhaul.
Oil change plane is good. See if you can avoid putting DTSi during service. What i did is told then that i recently changed oil and they didnt make any issue about it. Will do the same for 2nd service as well...

Thanks for the info and link...but the picture perspective is a bit confusing esp., the idling RPM screw position, and the AFR screw....Originally posted by Vicky1586 View PostThanks for telling me the actual rate brother.
