Even today I've experienced it. Guys, NS gone 80.1 kms in 1.44 liters of petrol... so what is the mileage for 1.00 liter? Can Anyone calculate? Weak in MatHs
Mileage of 55??? I didn't even think it was possible!! Congratulations buddyOriginally posted by Shibadip View PostU being South Indian, weak In MAths????!!!!!!!your Milage -80.1/1.44 = 55.625 kmpl
Your's is the best in the forumn.. Guess you have still not tried tuning the bike.BTW, are you having those vibration problems???and did you find out How my DESTINY was standing straight without any support???Hint- Save the Pic in your comp, and zoom into the Rear break lever..

Day by Day, KM by KM the noisy issues are increasing on my bike...
now there is a very scary vibration noise at 5800-5900 rpm, it is coz of resonance of some metal parts in the fromt assembly, which parts I yet dont know.

Its not that Number of posts that matters, its the number of Kilometers that does and how you do those kms that matters....

Resonance vibes are present post 4K RPM and lasts upto 6K. It will ofcourse be more prominent once the bike gets older and screw get loose. I don't think it will be an issue, once its take care off for the rest of lifetime of bike. Considering even the 220, 200NS is very very vibe free. How old is you oil surojit? And which one?Originally posted by surojit View PostDay by Day, KM by KM the noisy issues are increasing on my bike...

It was just for the info.. Never thought of implementing it. And ya, any aftermarket performance modifications surely does compromise the bike's reliability.Originally posted by rahuldevnath View PostYes, there are programmable ECU, but what are the tangible benefits after all on a 200CC engine? Apart from removing the rev limiter and may be remapping the ignition timing. And an aftermarket ECU, if at all fits our stock bikes is sure create trouble!
+1 And 23.5 is great for Indian roads, isn't?Originally posted by psr View PostNo person other than the designer knows of the design parameters and constraints of the engine, so altering the ignition timing is a no , no , unless you are prepared to have detonation and burn outs.Removal of Rev Limit is possible, but it is there for a purpose....the only lee way here is about 5 to 6 % alteration which is unlikely to produce any great improvement.....If you want more reliable power than your present bike...sell it and buy a more powerful Bike..it is more cost effective.
I have no idea about what i'm doing. Someone asked me as P200NS is sharing the bottom part of the engine from duke, won't it be able to produce the same power? I gave an obvious answer that duke has FI and shorter gear ratios. Then I started pondering upon it and wanted to know about the possibilities of CDI remapping.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postremoval of rev limit is one additional benefit provided ... your bike is actually able to rev upto rev limiter. why do tuners remove stock ECU and put Custom programmable ECU. because it is possible to get some improvement in performance. and lot of tuners around the world are doing it. it depends on you, how much reliability you wanna compromise and/or how much performance you wanna increase.
although i agree that buying a more powerful bike that fulfills your requirements in stock form is better.
i just replied to a query, to tell that programmable CDI's are available and if some rider wanna reprogram ignition timings, he can do so, otherwise he may loose heart that his bike does not have an ECU, so he cant get the benefits of a ECU swap.
regarding reliability, i also think that by modifying your bike, some reliability is always lost.
but i also think that there are certain safety factors built-in in your bike, and you should be able to safely exploit that, provided you know what you are doing.
That's a precise answer. U surely are a pro bro. And I surely wont opt an engine which lasts only for a few races.. I'm a commutator more than anything...Originally posted by psr View PostEngines of the '90s had lots of potential in that the engine's capability was not fully exploited...so there was room for mods...take Suzuki Fiero for instance or the RX Some members have overbored Fiero to 195 and 200 cc engine in the old Fieros, and RXs had been modified to do 145 kmph...and these don't have Fi.Most modern engines are close to their max limit in performance since manufacturers have started squeezing the max juice out of them...so when mods are done to modern engines the room for error is minimal and error results in disaster...further most "Race Tuners" are doing mods for races where engine need to last for a few race only, while a street bike owner expects the engine to last for at least 50,000 kms without problems...
So the mods scene then in 90s and now are totally different, and modern engines do not tolerate error in mods like the old ones.Riding is not about destinations, it's about journeys.

Oh yah.. not played with AFR. As of now its not showing that stalling in early mornings... 20 second choke in first start clears everything.
In low RPM's, say 2-5K there is negligible vibes. Not too much. Its avoidable. No sound, nothing from instrument panels.
Me too. But with pillion the mileage is between 40-45. 85KG+63KGOriginally posted by sagar_phoenix View PostMileage of 55??? I didn't even think it was possible!! Congratulations buddy

@Sagar - +100 for keeping the bike in Picture Perfect Condition. I know @SunilYo sir also spends lot of time behind his ride. Would request him to post a few pics of her as well.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
