Vehicle tuning
I've confirmed that the afr screw has to be turned ANTICLOCKWISE for a richer mixture. I managed to tune my 200 NS perfectly. I just twisted the fuel screw as clockwise as possible (i.e the engine should be able to sustain it's rpm) and turned the screw exactly 2.5 times anticlockwise. The rpm stood at 1.4k and there were absolutely no problems of the engine stalling while twisting the throttle. Rode the vehicle for a day and guessed that turning the mixture a little rich would do away with the flat spot at 3.5k rpm. I might have guessed right because I later turned the screw about half a revolution anticlockwise and oola!
The bike feels like a vehicle bestowed on me by God Himself!

I was able to do it all thanks to the knowledgeable people who have posted on this thread!

Posting from the Pune Offline threadOriginally posted by niranjanvaidya View PostJust for record, we had two Dukes, two 220s, one 200NS and one FZ. Although not on any top speed setting trip, the following top speeds were recorded.
Duke (NV) - 138 KM/HR - maintained that for a good minute or so.
Duke (Inder) - 110 KM/HR
P220 Fi - 136 KM/HR
P220 Carb - 140 KM/HR
P200 NS - 142 KM/HR
FZ - 129 KM/HR
It was fun to see the 200 NS outrun almost everything but the Duke scores highly on the acceleration and is difficult to keep in sight on ghat sections and especially after toll plazas.

@All
Has anyone tried clutchless gear shifts on the mighty NS???
Was just wondering whether clutchless shifing (if done correctly) is harmful to bike or not....any comment??Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

Sorry for asking..but why do you want to shift without using clutch??

Obviously it is harmful. Why do you think there is a clutch given by OEMs?Originally posted by nilesh14587 View Post@All

Hi Aditya.. thanks for the feedback and instructions.. could you please give more details about the first part of the tuning.. when you say 'twisted the fuel screw as clockwise as possible (i.e the engine should be able to sustain it's rpm)', what should be sign to stop turning? can we judge it by the RPM? also u mentioned idle RPM was 1.4k.. is that when the engine was cool or after heating up?Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostI've confirmed that the afr screw has to be turned ANTICLOCKWISE for a richer mixture.
