Well, Rahul has left out the Rear mud guard,.., and That what made the mud Go up to the Console.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostMud till helmet and speedo????
Now that's some shocking news....I used to think my Fazer gets dirtiest the most...! If any of u not using the rear mud-guard,plz donate me...I would fit in on my Fazer as a monsoon-special.
As I Sai, the bike gets messy, no Doubt (Even With rear mud guard), but it is not As bad As that of Fazer, Provided you keep the mud Guard on.
Also Another Reason being NS ha 130 sec tyre which is of Round profile. So it doesn't pick up that much Dirt, Where as Fazer has 140 sec rear tyre, and that too of fat profile
, which picks up more mud/dirt on the go.
@PSR sir, that shop certainly is a good one. Already have lot of bookings of helmet for friends, next time I visit Chennai!!
@chintan, Surely a bigg treat due to you, bro. Why don't you make a small and beautiful trip down here to KOlkata?? Come within 20th to 24th, and I can assure you that you will get Awestruck.
@myth and @rahulbarik Why don't both of you come down to my garage tomorrow. Have a Mamoth task to clean up both the Beast. While the NS got dirty while coming back to home after Service, the Other beast totally got muddy while at a visit to Dakhineswar temple. Wud be a nice and CLEANLY get together

Yes the mud gets splashed over the helmet, but unlike on my fazer the mud does not get accumulated on the rear monoshock or get on the rear of the engine.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postyes water comes splashing on the helmet and sometimes misses the helmet and lands on the console when riding on extreamely wet roads roads at speed of 85-90 and above.... @talha: mee too have that pulling on left... Yup it does start to pain my right arm (on long rides) as sub consciously it negates the left side drifting.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostIdeally speaking it shouldn't happen, the bike must be properly aligned, otherwise , it caused staring to the body, our body subconsciously corrects those slight alignment problem by giving more pressure at the handle bars, but it does makes the body more tired. Though mostly in the long run only.
I had the weights on my bike and that time it was perfect, i lost the front end bar weights and then slight alignemnt issues started popping up, nothing big, but still, its better to get it sorted.
@JK, is it there on your bike too ? I dint feel when i rode yours.

Thats why i would advice you to browse every wheel alignment shops in your area and also tyre dealers who have the machine for wheel alignment, very less chance to find guys who would do it on bike rims, but its worth giving a try.
Cheers mate

I think the weight of the saree guard causes the draft towards left..Unlike other bikes P200NS doesn't have a outer silencer to counter balance the weight of the saree guard...so the bike will naturally move towards the left...if the rider can hold the handlebar tightly & shift some weight towards the right then this effect will not be felt.Originally posted by Arun Magus View PostI think saree guard surely can be a suspect. i already told chintan to visit kolkata in fb but he isn't coming...seemes like we have to go to mumbai, kidnap him and bring him hereOriginally posted by Shibadip View PostWell, Rahul has left out the Rear mud guard,.., and That what made the mud Go up to the Console. ya would love to join you text me the time on my cell... Btw its 2am now and i am cleaning my bike a bit with a cloth else it may leave some spots...dont feel lyk sleeping now... @surampudijagadeesh: yes it gets dirty but its very easy to clean it unlike fazer and true mud dont go upto the monoshock...its very well protected... @myth: mee to having right hand pain on the muscle just below my elbow to counter that left pull... Btw only shop i heard does a wheel alignment for bikes is near HIND cinema...he even have a machine to fit tubeless bike tyres... But its not at all feasible to ride that long for alignment. Better give it to svc guys...it will be free @arun magus: i had already removed saree guard more than a week back...still bike pulls on left... Its front fork issue or maybe alignment. Lets chintan confirm. He got his rectified... @mayankjames: studds rhyno/rhyno decor.. Have a look at the helmet, i was thinking of buying exactly the same then dropped thd plan for a better one...costs around 1.2k in kolkata (thanks to sayank) Brand New Studds Full face helmet RHYNO DECOR | eBay or you can go for yohe helmets. 1.8k. Superb quality. Almost similer to ls2. Padding is very gud... And its dot certified...

Does the weight of the saree guard really cause that pull ? the saree guard is properly fitted on to the bike onto the frame and swing-arm IIRC, its not a hanging weight to upset the balance of the bike, so i don't think that's going to be an issue.
Like everybody suggested Studds Rhyno is the best choice, has some good graphics and is a good product too.Originally posted by Samshalu View PostI think the weight of the saree guard causes the draft towards left..Unlike other bikes P200NS doesn't have a outer silencer to counter balance the weight of the saree guard...so the bike will naturally move towards the left...if the rider can hold the handlebar tightly & shift some weight towards the right then this effect will not be felt.
P.S: LS2 is not an Indian Brand.

Anyways besides the wait, can you all fellow 200NS bikers suggest me a good decent full face helmet for anything less than 1.5-2k (Obviously Indian Brands as the LS2 are a lil over priced for as of now). I am using a Ninja Studd with my old 180 and I must say its mighty days are over now. I will upgrade to an SOL or Dajiya sometime soon but like I said as of now, can you suggest me some good makes and models in the budget or share yours if you have one with my mentioned budget?
Thanks!
I dont think the svc people can do it, it is not supposed to be placed at random locations on the rim, it must be done using proper equipment for it to negate the pull the imbalance is causing.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Post@myth: mee to having right hand pain on the muscle just below my elbow to counter that left pull... I don't think Pinpointing the sareeguard as the only culprit is right. While the Saree guard is fitted Onto left, the rear mud Guard is on Right. While the chain and chain is on left, the Discs are on right.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostDoes the weight of the saree guard really cause that pull ? the saree guard is properly fitted on to the bike onto the frame and swing-arm IIRC, its not a hanging weight to upset the balance of the bike, so i don't think that's going to be an issue.
Personally I Have Still not felt that left side pull. But then I have Still not tried to ride her leaving both my hands of. And Still now, I haven't have the Right hand side pain (which comes from automatic body correction)
Now reading this made me think, that both the Wheel balances are placed onto the Left side of the Rims in NS, while I have seen that the wheel balancer are provided in the middle of the rim in most of the Hero bikes. Now Will that have ant effect on the left side pull.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostI dont think the svc people can do it, it is not supposed to be placed at random locations on the rim, it must be done using proper equipment for it to negate the pull the imbalance is causing.
Also, Since the Wheel balancer comes factory fitted, it must have been Correctly placed, and not just any random Placement.. Right??sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

After all the failed attempts to correct the left side drifting of the bike, I found a small problem. The svc guys tightened the chain too much, ie., no chain slack and the rear wheel was not turning freely when neutral. So I adjusted it to the recomeded slackness and to my surprise the left side drift was gone.
This may not be the only reason, but this worked for me.BreaklessBiker
