met with an accident while going in the backseat of my friends 220, he was racing another 220 through thick traffic at around 120, his friend suddenly swerved onto our lane, and my friend slowed down a little only to avoid not losing the race, but the guy infront of him suddenly stopped and we crashed into him, fell on THE most dangerous road in cochin (highway infront of gold souk mall) escaped cause of my helmet and the face that the car driver behind had quick reflexes, now all thats left to heal are the 2 fractures in my right hand, have to wear a cast for 1 more month :'( i literally had a life review!

I came across this consumer forum link Online Indian consumer forum and complaint registration. I was planning to book this bike next month but am now concerned with all these complaints. Could someone kindly verify if those complaints on the link are valid?

My friends told me that my bike was tilted towards left but I never bothered to look at it. Today while my friend was driving I saw that the back of the bike including the number plate was leaning towards left and is easily noticeable. Anyone having this issue with their NS?
Having my exams presently and can visit svc only after 17th so I was just concerned about my ride.

There are just a handful of people who are claiming it be a junk box. I say, have a look around here...do you think that this forum is in way smaller than that one?? There have been problems and they have been rectified by the manufacturer. Had there been any major issues then would've cropped up here. The people complaining are either noobs or whatever you may call them. one of them is saying that there is no engine oil in his bike!! i mean was he sleeping when he took the delivery?? can't he go to the svc rather than home and emailing it to BAL?Originally posted by Ashay Tamhane View PostI came across this consumer forum link Online Indian consumer forum and complaint registration. Moreover the problems raised by them are on offs...ratio 1000:1 (guess)
So don't go buying product after going through those posts...survey your products (in this case the bike) from a reputable source.

Thanks bro. One more naive query. Is there anyway to confirm I don't get a test driven bike? From what I have read around, seems like that is definitely one thing to worry about.Originally posted by myth2104 View PostThere are just a handful of people who are claiming it be a junk box. i am little skeptical about flip-up helmets due to less rigidity of jaw portion, anyways at 1360 rs i guess you didn't get the inner goggles.Originally posted by Shibadip View PostWell, I have already purchased a helmet, which was done post the trip.
I am not at all comfortable (not that i am Claustrophobic) with full face helmets, especially in the city rides. Feels like restricted vision..
So what I have done is - bought myself a VEGA Boolean Graphics, (where the Jaw cover can be opened up), and it will suffice the dual purpose of City rides - which will be Open face, as well as tours - which will be full face.
:
Icing on the cake is I got it Just for 1360/- only..(where as In Kolkata it costs something over 2K)
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Washed my bike after quite a long time!! Polished it with my car wax. God this thing does look better than the day I took delivery! The idling had gone down to 900rpm which I readjusted to 1400rpm.
Had gone for a night ride session at lavasa by skipping few hours at office
. This thing does look great in the night (no pics as I had had made an escapade from office and had no camera. The crappy phone cam couldn't get it. Wish I had my SLR) The lower light again got fused mid way while returning. This is the second time the lower light is fused
. While returning met a ZX6R guy along with 2 baby CBRs (150) who looked to me as tourers, hopefully from xBhp. A short rip on the sangamwadi bridge made the day (read as night). Crossed 95kmph mark the second time. A light windy breeze took me from left to right which made me understand why some prefer a faired bike.

Sometime back people said that red and green stripes on the tyres meant that the bike isn't ridden. But Chintan (the first NS owner) head these marks even after a few 100 kms. So this point is out.Originally posted by Ashay Tamhane View PostThanks bro. One more naive query. Is there anyway to confirm I don't get a test driven bike? So have a look at the treads carefully too make out if the have been used for riding. Other than that just wish your bike wasn't test ridden.
Moreover the chances of a test bike being delivered to you at the present moment are slim because the dealers (most of them) already have a test bike alloted to them and they have sufficient stock of NS.
P.S. When I took my delivery my odo showed 1km only
I was happy with it only and din't go looking for any other proofs.

No buddy, got the complete set, along with the goggles. Bought a white one for myself.Originally posted by sayank10 View Posti am little skeptical about flip-up helmets due to less rigidity of jaw portion, anyways at 1360 rs i guess you didn't get the inner goggles.
And guess from where did i get the helmet?? It's from Chennai!!!!!
As @myth said, there is no 100% full proof test to confirm the above. GUess you have to take a leap of faith.Originally posted by Ashay Tamhane View PostThanks bro. One more naive query. To be On the safe side, check the odo of your bike, and get your bike from a dealer who have a dedicated test bike registed under their name.
You can check if the fan is working or not by idling the engine for more than 2min; or ride continiously in heavy traffic, with high revsOriginally posted by Arun Magus View Post170ish on odo and I'm facing gear shift issues.
