Height of stupidity from ASC mechanics: when they put some oil on the disc when I asked them to rectify the disc sound problemOriginally posted by sarthakrocks02 View Postthanx for the help mate ^_^ still will ask the SC guys in my area cause here hey act really stupid in every issue just wanna play safe
. But my persistence and anger finally lit up their tube lights and the problem was solved in a sane manner .

NO . Acetone destroys rubber too . Your chain has rubber O-rings in it . Use only kerosene to clean , and that too sparingly with a soft toothbrush and very gently(so as not to damage the rubber rings) . Then wipe off the chain with soft cloth and apply a bit of light oil like fresh motor oil . Baas . O-ring chains need no lubrication , the oil is just to keep the rubber rings supple and keep them from drying out .Originally posted by Shibadip View PostGood to see you in this thread, Pinaki Da..
Yes, Kerosene is what came to My mind as well.. Will do that While cleaning up the Chain.
Anyways, acetone Is the word that I was looking for. I somewhere read that mixing Acetone in the Petrol gives good result..
I am more inclined toward mixiing acetone with kerosene while cleaning the Chain.. What Say?? ..

Few days ago my NS developed a very unusual issue witht he speedo console. The ODO digits seemed to flicker constantly unlike in trip modes.
So i went to SVC and got it checked, the manager offered me a prompt replacement under warranty for which he took 2 days. That being solved, there was another issue with rear disk brakes. They kept jamming randomly bringing the bike to a screeching halt
. SVC guys took out the disc and oil and cleaned them and checked oil pressure. But the problem was not solved. Disc would jam roughly after every 15KMS. So they took another look at it and found that the rear brake lever play was very less, so now they hav increased the brake lever play, no problem till now, its almost been more than 40 KMS.
Anybody here had the same issues as above?

My front disc plate is screwed up...changing it under warranty...but stock will come after 20 days. Disc plate is bent and bike making a very very loud chik chik sound from the disc... Svc guys said that few ns owners are already facing the same issue of bent disc plate resulting in noise... Called up bajaj customer care from the svc itself at that time and just blasted them like hell...got a call from pune in less than 30 mins and they arranged another free service for me tomorrow at another svc...after that got two more calls..one from the svc where i serviced my bike today and another from OSL highcommand...now hope to get it solved... So guys with disc squeeling plz check the plate..might be bent at a particular location. Mark the plate with a marker then rotate the wheel and see where the marker is erased...that place is bent... Mine is extreameThis Tail Is Japani Tail (spell as you like)

Thanks man. I will check with the service.Originally posted by J K View Post
Bike swaying to left is due to the absence counterweight. Some NS's are coming with it. Mine had it. Some of my friends here, in Xbhp, doesn't have it... i think.... so take it it SVC.
And, you never look into speed meter.... look in to RPM meter. Keep it under 4K or 4.5K maximum upto first service. After that slowly raise RPM to 5K or 5.5K RPM max.Your bike is a part of you....

Ah ha! Exactly the procedure I follow. But instead of fresh motor oil I've been using 90 grade gear oil from Castrol. The stock chain on my earlier P200 lasted for ~30k Kms. Following exactly the same procedure on the NS.Originally posted by Pinaki View PostNO . Acetone destroys rubber too . Your chain has rubber O-rings in it . Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Showed to my bike to service centre today morning. Service guy took a ride and then concluded that right handle got slightly bent when u fall and resulting in a wobbling kind of feeling. There is a need to change a handle. Which is not available. Will call service people in afternoon and will ask them to make it available. Fingers crossedOriginally posted by N E S T O Network View PostGive it to the service center and let them take care of things.

Wobbling of rear tyre due to a bend handle!!!!Originally posted by aniketpassion View PostShowed to my bike to service centre today morning. Double check if the issue goes out after the change of Handle. Otherwise, you will be paying for a new handle, without any gain.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

I am thinking how come a bend handle causes a wobling in rear tyre ??
I feel it is lose fit of rear tyre or your alloy has gone kaput at some point in circumfrence!! Bend handle has to be changed else that will sustain a different ride style to you!!

Hey shibadip.. actually slight wobbling is there but i am not sure if it is in front or rear. I have called for handle today. The guy on a desk told that he will order and will take a week. Let see if this issue goes or notOriginally posted by Shibadip View PostWobbling of rear tyre due to a bend handle!!!!
