Never again get that even near a bike's painted surface , or rubbers or plastics . The stuff is acetone , is present in carburetor cleaners & injector cleaners too . Dissolves paint without any pressure at allOriginally posted by myth2104 View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Posting again..
Guys last day my rear tyre slipped while breaking at the speed of 40 and bike fell down which i posted yesterday itself. But since morning i am noticing that wheels r not perfoming same. I am feeling a bit wobbling which another person might not be able to notice since i am riding it from the starting. I really dont know if it wheelout or what. N which tyre is causing it the front one or rear. What to do if it is wheelout? Do i need to change tyre or something else? I am really uncomfertable riding like this because this is a new bike and evryone wants his bike to be perfectly allright.. help pls i am quite illeterate in technical stuffs of bikes.

Are seriously dude.. i m feeling to change my rear tyre and since i have slipped from bike i am getting a very little wobbling kind of feeling while ride. Hope changing tyre will solve the issueOriginally posted by Rahulbarik View Postbro you wanted a review of revz-s... I've fitted it and its a very positive thumbs up from my side... The character of the bike has changed... You can feel the difference from the word go... a bit lag in acceleration and 2-3kmpl drop in mileage. Latest mileage figure 35kmpl..@myth: my bike is not screwed
just tappet noise and that autogear stuff... Now that stupid disc noise... Bike is very smooth but the engine sound is rough but engine is smooth... 1st service tomorrow... @aniketpassion: i am trying to sell both my stock tyres for 2500... Btw revz-s is from mrf. The same rear tyre which comes stock on r15 v2. You can go for that with eyes closed...its the cheapest of the lot... Else you can go for pirelli sports demon or irc road winner...@speedykol: bro after this new xbhp interface i cant delete any msg...its not working from my phone... Anyways i stay in tollygunge...9883596405..text me on my number...

No 2 bikes are the same, they might come in different carb settings or tuning.
Thus causing the change in engine feel and running, its according to the carb that you feel the smoothness.
Then the run-in also decided a lot on how free revving the engine can be. If you strictly stick to the owners manual run-in then higher revs will be sluggish, but familiarizing the bike to higher revs gradually during run-in makes it better.
Since your is just 500kms old, i'd suggest that after the first oil change and some kms put in , itll be allright, right now the parts are not bed in as yet. Depending on your style of run-in it will soon be all good and clear.

Also his engine is much more free. While there is a lot of engine braking in my bike even after completing 500 kms, his bike runs quite smooth, even while the throttle is left out. The acceleration/pull is also quite linear.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, Kerosene is what came to My mind as well.. Will do that While cleaning up the Chain.
Anyways, acetone Is the word that I was looking for. I somewhere read that mixing Acetone in the Petrol gives good result..
I am more inclined toward mixiing acetone with kerosene while cleaning the Chain.. What Say??
Agreed buddy.. In fact I am not worried about this issue.. As of now, i am very very pleased with the way DESTINY's engine note sounds, and as u said, the engine has already become free than what it was at the time I bought it. Have no issues with the gradual run-in..Originally posted by krish2778 View PostNo 2 bikes are the same, they might come in different carb settings or tuning.

But the Height difference in both the bikes makes me more curious for the reason.
I think after the fall the rear tyre alignment must have been disturbed or the alloy might have bend a little after the fall. the change must be very little to check it by naked eye, and thus the wobbling can be felt only at high speeds.Originally posted by aniketpassion View PostPosting again..

I would suggest you to go to a special tyre allingnment shop rather than SVC to get this one checkedsigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

the first reason for tyre wobbling coming to my mind is, since you had a fall you are now scared because of the tires...happens to each and everyone bro. Its natural...Originally posted by aniketpassion View PostPosting again..Guys last day my rear tyre slipped while breaking at the speed of 40 and bike fell down which i posted yesterday itself. 2nd reason might be because fork-t got bent...or the racer kit became loose...go to the svc and tell them to readjusust them... 3rd reason tyre alignment..though i dont think this is the reason... And lastly since you had a fall you wont be able to regain confidence again because once you lean or brake hard or something like that you will feel scared and suddenly remember the fall and then loose confidence suddenly... change your tyres to better one now...

Guys need some help -Originally posted by Red_Redemption View PostOdo reading - 3700km
After following the AFR posts on this thread for quite some time, I decided to go for it. Gave the screw a little less than quarter a turn ANTI-CLOCK wise. For illustration purposes - the rotation equivalent of turning the clock hand from 2 to 11.5
Short term feedback on AFR adjustment:
+ No snatchy feeling while accelerating. Smooth acceleration from low rpms
+ In the past 2 days of riding, did not notice the flat spots. This has been mostly city driving. Will take it out on the highway this weekend and update.
? Effect on FE: No idea as of now. Will have some insight in 2 weeks time.
I will be giving my bike for second service in the coming week. I will have covered 1300km with the new AFR setting. I had read somewhere that you can see if the setting is lean/rich by looking at the sparkplug.. Please can someone share the details of this so that I can check this during the service?
@psr, any help would be appreciated
Major issues to fix during 2nd service @ 5000km
- Brake pad cleaning: Having some squeaks coming from the rear disc
- Dual sided tape for the bajaj logo above headlight: it has come loose and guess this is the root cause of the noise in the headlight assembly
- Weird sound from engine, similar to a clock ticking, dunno the cause
- Check chain slack
- Both wheels not rotating freely: guess this is an aftermath of the rains
One funny (or alarming) incident -
I went on a 500km blast from pune to kolhapur last weekend with some fellow xbhpians.. We cruising comfortable at 100-110 most of the way. There was this spectacular patch of highway along the way - absolutely fresh, level and empty - and we let our bikes rip. We drove for a while between 120 and 140.
From my position, the bike sounded heavenly. But i noticed some strange behavior from the occasional people we encountered on the side of the road. Our group had 2 ninjas, 2 cbr250s, 3 r15s and me on the 200ns. As we drove past, they didn’t even look up for the other bikes, but they would turn around and look before my bike would cross them - as if they were expecting a superbike. I thought it was because my bike sounded like one
until i met up with one ninja rider and he said that while following the bike, contrary to my expectation, it made a horrible mechanical sound
now i need to swap bikes with someone on the next ride to find out what the ns sounds like at 120kmph

Doing plug reading in a three spark plug engine is not a conclusive method.....I had posted few pages back a graph on AFR setting and exhaust gas pollutant levels..just take time to go through it..When you leave it at ASC, get the engine tuned for 1.5% of CO(carbon monoxide) .Originally posted by Red_Redemption View PostGuys need some help -

A P200NS bike at 120 to 130 Kmph is actually straining the engine.Avoid continuous full throttle ride for prolonged time.100 Kmph is a much more safer and sustainable speed. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

I’ll pass on the tips if the mechanic is willing to tune the bike or has the necessary equipment to check the CO levels
About cruising at 120, i feel that 100 is more than what most of our roads are built for.. so when you do come across such amazing roads, can’t help but rip for a while
. Unlike the other bikes in my group (ninja, cbr250 and r15) the NA isn’t meant for touring
. So i guess I’ll limit myself to around 100 from next time.. But way it behaves in the city makes up for all the limitations

Bajaj Pusar 200ns: Nox
Greeting fellow xbhp members,
- Bajaj vs. KTM brand image and build quality/reliability. I had ridden a couple of older 1st and 2nd
- The quality. My dad owns an XCD 125 and I have ridden other Bajaj bikes, an Enfield Thunderbird, an RTR 160 and 180, a Karizma R, FZ and the Duke. While the KTM and Yamaha felt solidly put together and vibe free, I felt the RTRs and Bajajs to have serious issues with squeaking panels and creaking suspensions amongst other weird noises. On my 200ns however, I really was left wondering whether this really was a Bajaj product! It must be said, in terms of the overall solidly-put-together feeling, this bike is right up there with the best of them. I still feel there are too many panels and screws, as I feel that over time, the more parts you have, the more chances of them developing noises (hence my rooting for the Duke). But all in all, this is a great job by Bajaj, and I really respect them for the way this thing is put together.
- Downshifting. This is a very noisy affair on many occasions. Especially changing from 2nd to 1stthth

Hi guys,
I got my new 200NS last saturday. The bike veers to the left whenever I ride with hands off the handle bar. Has anyone noticed this on your bikes.
The manual says speed limit in 6th gear is 48 kmph for the first 1000 km. It's so maddening to ride in 6th at such a slow speed.Your bike is a part of you....

Check with the cone set setting, even check the tyre pressure!!Originally posted by danny king View PostHi guys,

ANd very sure if you ride 48kmph @6th gear then surely it will effect your engine!! Mostly i guess this effect the engine performance. follow the rpm method in runin. take care of it.
