However, the 200 logo on the Left front shocks look awesome... U must have done the same on the right side as well...

Ohh...the decals on the right side or the left one ?
I put the 200 logo only on the left side...I like it a little asymmetric so...
like the ICON logo is only on the right side of the tank but not on the left side...

hehe...yeah...the absence of the hugger looks sweeeeeeet B)
Plus, no one dares to ride just behind my back

Hmm asymmetric look... Inspired from BMW???
The right side swingarm certainly looks overdone.

You just managed to make the engine a silent slow painful death , and congratulations, for smashing away the warranty of your bike with the horn install.

Mate, if you are installing a freeflow filter then you must upjet the carb and set an proper tuning , and removing the air filter box in this rainy season just means your feeding your engine more crap and slime and blocking the jets soon enough in the rainy season.

And playing with a new bikes electricals can mess up the BCU and also of course void the warranty.

Alas , its your bike, your choice , i respect that, but if you want to revert to stock itll be the best option.

          Cheers

NS is a "BWMish designed" beast.

                Guys, just a suggestion,
remove the mudguard and tyre hugger and install one of the cbr 250 or fz. Should make the bike more sexy.

And also wanted to know a thing, whats the cost of the number plate holder of the 200 ? m thinking of getting it fixed after the monsoons pass on my 220.

                Cheers

even i was thinking about the same fz rear tyre hugger... The one on the 200 looks extreamely cheap and and finishing is very crude... Looks like a jugaad job... The one on the fz, will it fit directly? How much it costs?

Yeah the 5N appearance the font used for NS is like that only

                      • Starting problem / Airlock / Carb / Engine dies

Anyways abt the bike shutting off at idle, u can increase the the idle by rotating the idle screw clockwise direction. My Destiny is idling at abt 1.3k without stalling..
                        .

                        Here is my problem.

                        1. It happened as a air lock, I rode my bike for 35 kms and then the reserve indicator glows up (i didnt notice it and continue to ride) after say 3-4 mins , the bike gasps as there is no petrol. I turn the knob from on to reserve. After this moment, the bike never idles in any gear, no engine braking, if you let the throttle go, it dies.

                        2. Now the problem is more, after a whole day, after keeping my petrol tank open for some minutes, after fiddling the idling screw for 20 times, the bike never starts without a twist of throttle. Even after starting it needs at least 2 k idle and once i twist the accelarator and go for a ride, the idling jumps down below 1k rpm and engine dies

                        Any solution?

I need to go for an interview tomorrow , which is 40kms from my home. I've no other byk as of now. Any DIY stuff? Or can I ride it as it is?? for at least a day???

Today SVC is out of reach as it is sunday
You have heard of me, But you don't know me. You know what I'am, not what I've gone through

                        • for those who have removed the rear tyre hugger, what is the effect on mud splashing? even with the tyre hugger on, the underside of my bike gets completely covered in mud.. I'm surprised to see that bajaj has done absolutely no testing regarding this before releasing it

seems something serious.. may be experienced guys can help..

U can post ur issue in the Help me section, but that will take some time from the mods to approve it.

U can also show ur problem to the local mechanic, but I won't recommend it. In that case use Public transport 2morow.
Best of luck for the interview..

Is it worth waiting for some improvements?
there are 2 ways to look at it..

                              1) wait for sometime as Bajaj is definitely ironing out the issues in newer models based on feedback.. but then there is no end to it or surety of how long the wait will be

                              2) (the way i look at it) just go for it.. the issues faced currently are nothing major that a quick trip to the SVC centre wont resolve.. and any modifications Bajaj does going forward will apply to the older models as well when u take it to the SVC

so long story short.. go for it!

I agree with Shibadip.. though modern engines can take quite a lot of abuse and 40 kms may not affect it, its not worth the risk as the real reason is not known.. adjust for a day and good luck

to put things in perspective, my coolant is below the minimum level but the SVC guy said i can continue to use it as long as i dont 'bhagao' it.. but to be on the safe side im waiting for the mechanic to have a look at it tomorrow
