Will wait outside for sometime to see on which bike the dealer gives for the TD, and then will go note the VIN, and see if it matches the VIN of the earlier Test bike (which sctually is not a Test bike!!)
do keep us updated
and check if there is any blue bike or not...if yes, then note down the vin of all the blue ns you find there...

You can remove it by using cutter, but careful not to make the mudguard scratches.Originally posted by Shibadip View PostThanks for the DIY..

Any body tried using Fibre sheet for patching up the rear hugger area?Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostHey guys,
Here are the pics of the mudflap i put on the front tire and the patch applied on the rear split mudguard to prevent mud sprinkling.
The front mudflap is attached as described by @DNA few pages ago. Its a rubber flap fixed with clamps which has nuts on it. You can get this easily in any bikes' spares shop. p220 mudflap would be much neater than than this though, so i am thinking of switching
The rear job is my own idea. I took a black plastic bag and wrapped it around some cardboard sheet. And then applied it in between the gap of split guards with th help of black electric insulation tape. It took some efforts as the counters of the two guards isn't the same. It looks ugly, but i think its better than whole lot of mud on my new NS.
Hoping to find some permanent solution.

I would be very difficult to put fiber sheet there.Originally posted by sunilyo View PostAny body tried using Fibre sheet for patching up the rear hugger area?
Well folks, Please help me out here. I as told you before I face a problem of hitting (false??) neutral while shifting from 1st to 2nd quite frequently. I have described here again what exactly happens.
"While accelerating, shifting from 1st to 2nd, I hit neutral often, the engine revs but bike doesn't move an inch, I have to again shift up to get to 2nd. Then after that it runs fine. Now , sometimes the neutral indicator flashes showing that i indeed hit true neutral, but mostly neutral indicator isn't flashing. "
Now i know when one say "false neutral", its generally referred to "hitting neutral" while shifting in any gears but not 1st to 2nd." Probably because true neutral lies between 1st and 2nd. But the thing is when i hit neutral accidentally, most of the times neutral indicator doesn't flash.
Please tell me if anybody is facing such issue. Is there some issue with the gear box?? Or its normal??

Riding in rain
Thanks RahulOriginally posted by rahuldevnath View PostWhy not better tires?
You will get them at JC Road, for about 100 per piece. You can also contact Navnish on the forum or order it online on Ebay.
BTW I too stay near Silk Board!

Why did you leave her in office ?? Riding in rain is great fun.Originally posted by Sachin Blore View PostNeed to leave her in office due to heavy rain

feeling soo bad

Yesterday when I was about to reach home it started to rain, I got little wet and was very very hungry.
Suddenly me and my roommate had a sudden craving for Meghna Foods Biryani(a great biryani place in koramangla) , but it was raining cats and dogs.
I thought with the slope on the roads of koramangla water would have surely stagnated there to high levels and I could do a little underbelly exhaust testing myself.
The place was 4 kms from my home, started with caution and rode slowly , then came a point where water level was upto engine level I remembered the video promoted by Bajaj and went ahead with confidence. THE BIKE DID NOT TURN OFF AT ANY POINT and always roared when I opened the throttle. Tried braking at 40ish speeds , not disappointed by the response. It was an awesome experience yesterday. And now I feel more confident on my bike.
Me too felt the same and my friend as a pillion was impressed.Originally posted by sandysend View PostWell I just came back from office after driving in Bangalore heavy rain.. !!!
We don't need to go elsewhere for off-roading, just need to ride on Bangalore roads (really bad)..
Not ONCE did my beast splutter or turn Off... It got me great deal of confidence...
ATGATT! There are many wonderful riders/drivers out there who would intrude in your riding space without any notice. Be prepared. Stay Safe.

Couple of updates- Did a first approximate mileage measurement. Getting a mileage between 35-40kmpl.
- The fuel gauge indicator did not seem too accurate. I had around 1 liter in reserve when I refueled (No bars on the fuel indicator). I put in around 6.5 liters. So total fuel in tank was around 7.5 liters (12 ltr tank capacity). But all the bars in the fuel indicator are lit up like it is a full tank. Is this variance common with all digital fuel indicators?

Yes sir.. such variance is very common with every digital fuel indicator. It's about 70-80% correct. Trust the fuel knob, for having a correct idea of the fuel.Originally posted by Rajeevraj View PostCouple of updates- Did a first approximate mileage measurement. Getting a mileage between 35-40kmpl.

Yup she is safeOriginally posted by IronHide Shetty View PostHope its safe, leaving her in office.

Yeah man total i guess it rained almost 6 hrs continuouslyOriginally posted by sandysend View PostWell I just came back from office after driving in Bangalore heavy rain.. !!!
Scene:
Raining from the past 4hrs and my expression "raining cats and dogs with occational sightings of a buffalo"
. Roads clogged with water almost upto knee deep. Deep potholes everywhere and a few crazy cab drivers (morons)
too...
We don't need to go elsewhere for off-roading, just need to ride on Bangalore roads (really bad)..
Result:
Not ONCE did my beast splutter or turn Off... It got me great deal of confidence...
As far as the tires are concerned, it lost composure just once that too on concrete... I didn't drive more than 60kmph at any point of time and was a little cautious @corners, so for daily commute these tires are more than sufficient...
Congrats dude...
Nice mod... very much required... Will have to do something similar this weekend...
as i had to travel 20kms i just left the bike in office and went in cab

[QUOTE=rogersharath;861335]I got many of my doubts cleared, thanks to this wonderful thread
Still a few doubts though, need clarifications on those
1) The tank looks very scary, especially if you are sitting in the rider's seat. It seems to be very high and if you apply sudden brakes, there is a chance for damage. How much extent is this true??

yeah... it feels as if this thread has been hijacked by kolkatans..Originally posted by Shibadip View PostFriends/Fighting/liking/discussions, whatever it is, I like the fact that the Kolkatans - the Ultra Sufferers due to bajaj's release strategy just take control of this thread. especially at this time..

I was going to put a query on this,.Originally posted by Rajeevraj View PostCouple of updates- Did a first approximate mileage measurement. Getting a mileage between 35-40kmpl.

Well the digital fuel indicator does look absurd. Even I don't quite understand how exactly it works. How many liters do one bar indicate. When i went to petrol pump no indicator was it, i filled 1.3 liters of fuel and suddenly 3 bars showed up. Thats weird. My passion pro's indicator gives a fair idea and it looks quite straight.forward Its manual clearly says 1bar = 2litrs . And i found it quite consistent (talking about reading with center-stand on, so as to avoid variation due to tilting the tank.)
Haven'tfigured out how exactly NS ka indicator works. Can anyone throw some light here??
