According to the Manual:Use only DOT-3 or DOT-4 break fluid (from sealed container) for top up and replacement
regarding power generate: i didn't find anything regarding that on manual

The throttle response behaves weird at the 2k RPM level.
On slight twist of the throttle, the response seems to be stuck at 2k level for about 2seconds (as if not getting adequate fuel) and then suddenly it pulls, and pulls REALLY FAST (kindda sudden acceleration) upto 3-4k and after that the response becomes linear and smooth.

I notice this while riding, and also while throttling while the bike is in neutral.

@Rahulbarik - The usermanual says we can top-up or Replace the brake fluid on both DOT3 and DOT4.
Could it be because of Fuel Quality?? correct me if am wrong

i will get it done at SVC and tell them to do as you said.
i did not checked my mileage properly, if the reserve limit is 2.4L as written in the manual, then my mileage should be 179km / ((1L 6L)-2.4L) =38.9 KMPL.
riding condition 22KM daily in Hyderabad traffic(mostly between 2nd to 5th gears)

Today morning @ 7AM i was heading towards MGBS, one guy suddenly crossed my way with the mass sitting posture on his bike (hope you got what Am trying to say), and asked me "enta istundi"(how-much it give).
i was like and literally irritated. I said 70!! He reconfirmed what i said and he was totally confused.. then i was like
haha by mass seating you mean that polio type seating posture with genitals sticking to the tank, elbows touching his belly and arms bent outwards and shaking the @$$ like a belly dancer? and you said 70kmpl? Haha..he must be scratching his whole body by now to find out how it gives 70 and do let us know about the tuning part...if you are going to the svc then leave it to them to tune, and if you are doing it at home then follow that i said...its an easy way out
@sachin: dont allow them to repaint it...if they resist, shoot a mail...
@shibadip: flat spot right? Power goint flat at 2k right? Thats the same spot where duke have an abrubt fuelling, snatchy... I think its the character of this engine.. Seniors plz hop in to the rescue...
@all: thanx for the brake fluid part
Maybe bajaj dont print the alternator power on the manual... rahuldevnath plz help...electric guru to the rescue...

Your probably running lean. You seem to have acceleration snatch. Just ensure that the guys hook up your bike to the exhaust analyser while tuning. The ideal numbers should around 3.20% CO2 and around 800PPM HC. These are roughly numbers that should give you decent acceleration while still staying GREEN. These are not lock down numbers but could vary slightly.

              • going for my first service this sunday. Any advises guys?

I bought my bike from Dewan Bajaj, Dwarka, but will be taking it to the Okhla svc station. Hope this will not be a reason for the warranty getting void and the Okhla SVC will honour the free service.

Will have to check with them if i can get my own oil for the service.

                • Idle RPM?

Since yesterday noticed that the Idle RPM even after a short ride is around 2500. Is that normal? Earlier it was in the 1500-1800 range

if they say not in stock, then tell them to get it else send a mail to bajaj... you are paying for a brand new bike, not a painted one...bajaj needs to check on the quality

Don't know, But I had to fuel up from a pump which is not in my Choice list, coz there was very little fuel given by the dealer, and the trusted pump went out of Petrol.

I too think that Destiny is running lean. I have already adjusted the AFR just a bit to richer, But i think, I need to turn it a bit more.

Where did you take your bike for servicing?? The one which is near bypass highway??
I hope its not the one near paud phata as I will be getting my NS serviced there. Its the one which has KTM/Ninja servicing. Hope that one has educated NS mechanics.
