Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey Guys, Got my tyres changed - both front and back with Michelin Pilot Street 140/70 and 110/70.
Now riding the bike gives me a feeling of walking after you have stepped on a chewing gum. I can feel the tyres through the handle bars and the foot pegs.
The pair costed me 10K and has 3 year warranty.
Attaching the rear tyre pic.
I have removed the tyre hugger and have fallen in love with the bike again as it looks too good from the rear. I have the same feeling as that when i purchased the bike. Only other item in my checklist to be ticked off is to fit projector lamps. After that i think, i will have no complains regarding my NS. Its been more than 3 years now. Trust me the bike looks better than the pic below.

i did phase face this problem around 2 years back. Not sure how to put it in actual technical terms. Not sure if its called as flow speed. The problem is because the flow of fuel into engine is not proper and the supply is not at the same rate as that of consumption. That is the reason why it stops after some time since all of fuel that is available is used. Once you wait for few minutes, the fuel level stabilizes and again the bike can run on the available fuel.Originally posted by Idu644 View PostOk will let you know
I had given it to service center and they corrected this issue.Last edited by Rahul Prem; 07-07-2017, 01:29 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Odo : 20K Approx
Tire change done
Front : MRF Zapper FX 1 100/80
Rear : Pirelli Sports Demon 140/70
Grip is excellent. Now the bike doesn't feel like " flying " when moving through sand.
Current problem : Bike sways to the left when not steered. Any opinions on this ?

I own a 2017 model NS200.Originally posted by Idu644 View PostHelp Me ...... Two weeks back i got my bike serviced at a local mechanic so he cleaned my carburetor, airfilter and changed my engine oil.so after getting it done i went for a short spin but after 6-7 kms my bike stopped as it was out of fuel.but if i started it after 20mins it started.this same thing is repeating on and on and i showed the mechanic the problem and he said everything is okay!but it isint ! Please help me as i am confused what has happend to my bike
I faced this issue till 1500 K.M as I was on RUN - IN and used to ride slowly. But it never was a big problem. The bike just used to go out of breathe and come to normal immediately after 1 or 2 secs.
After that I'm riding hard but never faced until now.
Today Again I felt kind of out of breathe around 5 to 6K RPM 2 to 3 times in 30 K.M ride from my Room to Office.
I have a youtube channel and many people who own the 2017 NS have reported this issue.

Regarding the swaying to the left, just take it to the service center. They will correct it. Usually its problem of cone and ball bearing.

The bike does feel a bit sluggish before the tyres start rolling. I think this is mostly because the front Tyre width has also been increased by 10 mm. I have had several falls before and most of the time it was because of quick front breaking and the front wheel skidding away. This was the reason why though many suggested that the front tyres of NS is good, i was adamant on changing it.
Also you cant avoid the "chewing gum effect" which i mentioned. The presence of tyre will percolate up. Some might find it a bit annoying. Not sure if this will get tapered down once the tyre runs 500+ kms and more, i personally like it and it inspires confidence.
Also from a driving dynamics perspective, the ability to flick the bike seems to have been affected a bit. This is only at very slow speeds.
But for me, all of the above are manageable. Its just 2 days that i fitted the tyre and i feel most of the above will go unnoticed and will improve once the tyre settles in. But one thing that wont go unnoticed is, how good the bike looks now.
I think a final answer to your question can be provided once i do some 1000 kms.

I'll post Tmrw bro. I still have tire hugger intact, so the tread pattern may not be much visible.Originally posted by Rahul Prem View PostBro.. can you please post a pic.

Regarding the issue, here all SVC mechanics are just lazy bunch. One of them said "fork bend" and straightened it (as said by them). Still it persists. I even asked them to check the stem bearing. I guess I've to check with local mechanics

Zapper FX1 - 1900Originally posted by tanirbhay View PostHow much you paid for both the tires ?
Pirelli Sports Demon - 3500. Had doubts about genuineness here. But, the store is pretty big and Authorised dealer for Michelin. Also the tire had a sticker of Pirelli with a bar code.

P.S : The tread pattern on the rear resembles the old version of the PSD. Or it may be a Chinese one (Still doubtful). But, grip seems too awesome..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thanks Bro and looking nice. Why i requested to put the pic was, when i was searching for and deciding upon changing tyre (and it almost took an year), i hardly could find relevant posts and pics to finalize the right manufacturer and profile. Also majority of comments were dissuading against changing the profile. But almost after one year of thought, i decided to go by my gut feel. Till now, i feel it is the right decision. I feel like i have got a brand new bike.Originally posted by Gowty View PostZapper FX1 - 1900

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Most of the Xbhpians who drive NS has upgraded to 140/70. I guess for Me, I don't feel any change except the overgearing effect. Now at 4K RPM bike 58KmpH instead of 56Originally posted by Rahul Prem View PostThanks Bro and looking nice. help guys...
Hi..my name is Adarsh and I own the new 200NS 2017...Me and my friend bought the same model on march 1...now a days i start to notice that height of my NS is smaller than his NS...I weigh
between 90-100kg...and he was 50-60kg...
is this happens because of my weight..
I checked on lotz of NS 200 and i found that...my bike's height is low compared to other NS's...
but the suspension level of my bike is same as all NS's...
please give me a suggestion...
can i get it same as all the NS's...
