Just wondering how you will be able to push your bike till 850 km. Mine stated getting rough at 450-500km. Changing gears had become an ordeal.
Had no other choice then to get it serviced.

1.This happens when the oil(chain lubricant) drop on the exhaust pipe.
2.disc break get hot during fast riding while applying more disc.

If you complete 15k without changing spark plug .. Then you should change it.

                Hey Guys,

Query 1: I am in a dilemma with the 4th service of my bike; should i be giving to the Bajaj service center or to hand it over to a local mechanic. I had a very bad experience with the way the service is done at the Kalayani Bajaj. Let me know if anyone there is familiar with any good mechanic near mathikere or close by.

Query 2: Currently i am running on a semi synthetic Motul 15W50 engine oil. Should i top up with a fully synthetic one? What is preferred other than Motul?

Query 3: I see some leakage from the engine; not sure if it is the oil leakage or the excess fuel flow which would be seen in a traditional carburetor? Is somone faced with similar issue? One of the mechanic suggested me to replace the engine seal. Is this what i should be doing?

Query 4: The performance of the breaks seem to have decreased gradually over the usage. What's the ideal time for replacement of break pads or is there anything else i could do for this?

Query 5: I had two puncture within 200kms of my ride on my rear tyre. This was fixed by using a tyre puncture kit. However i see that, after filling up the air to 36 psi, the air comes down to 16 psi within a week's time. Any suggestion how to fix it?

                ODO: 12500kms
                Oil: Motul 15W50

Are you sure they need to be changed ?
How did you determine that it needed to be changed ?

Haha .. After 15k km spark plugs lose his spark. If they lose spark then its shows rich af mixture ..
Put new spark plug and test the spark of plug and compare with old one.

                        1. Look for any scratches in bike(out of excitement you may not be able to check scratches)
                        2. Check any strange noices from bike(engine, horn, exhaust and breaks will give you strange noice but nothing to worry. New breakpads will touch disks. after some time it will go)
                        3. Check bike's tyre preassure.
                        4. Check all electronic stuffs(lights, indicators, speedo taco meters) working fine.

Last but not least, Look for petrol bunk as soon as you took delivery. because showroom guys will give only 1 litre petrol or so.

                          1. Make sure you don't accelerate at the first time. Run the engine in idle for few minutes so that the oil gets circulated. The workers there would raise it to peak as soon as you get the bike out.
                          2. Some showroom would leave the new bikes for test rides by disengaging the ODO. Check that the bike doesn't have any sorta scratch, etc.,

The plugs have begun to erode. The centre tip of the electrode is generally sharp but yours is blunt which indicate wear. Try to change the plugs soon as this can lead to weaker sparks and misfiring..

Stocks are good for normal use. Else you could try Bosch ones..heard they provide pretty good performance(not experienced)..
