Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
How deep is the bolt stuck inside? Remove the other bolt (AFAIK there are only 2 bolts to the oil filter) see if you can pull out the oil filter and unbolt the other bolt.. this is just a logical theory that is running in my mind.. not aure if this is practically possible. But hey, isnt it worth a try unless you already did..Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View Posturgent help needed ...!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Haven't tried ,but its clearly visible that bolt has broken way deeper than the pocket of oil filter cap ,so above method won't work .Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostHow deep is the bolt stuck inside? Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The engine has to undergo some wear and tear during run in phase. This will be correctly done only in case of mineral oil. After initial run in, fully synthetic oil can be used. Fully synthetic reduces wear significantly leading to longer and poor run in phase. Give the engine ample time to settle in mineral oil before switching to synthetic..Originally posted by Balgi View PostNo not really. Its about what you're comfortable with. There's a guy on this forum who has only used mineral oil in his NS and is quite comfortable with it. But I am more comfy with fs oil. Its a matter of choice. But no it is not too early.
Correct me if I am wrong but your run in period is 1000kms from buying the bike right?

I had taken it to experienced welder... he made a long thin pointed rod which he somehow welded it onto broken bolt and unscrewed it..
That's it..
You can use anabond or any other sealant to seal the outer side of filter to prevent leaking (temporarily) ..
Just an idea i maybe wrong though..
If you can find a thin piece of rod or something similar.. you can apply very small amount of m-seal or anything that garbs the bolt and unscrew it..

It'd be near impossible to get the bolt out that way. And since he's not in a mood for a welder.
Why not try to take the panel or cover off the bike and then try to drill the screw out of the hole. Then he can just rethread the hole for a slightly bigger bolt.
The svc guys would do this very thing in fact.
Also he can try to use a screw driver and hammer to screw the bolt out the other side if the other side has no obstruction that is.
A pic would help

Dude have you seen oil filter case on Ns :| ? theres no panel or an other side to it :| even drilling and rethreading would need a experienced welder or a fabricator..Originally posted by Balgi View PostIt'd be near impossible to get the bolt out that way. And since he's not in a mood for a welder.

No honestly I have not seen the 200NS oil filter case. But the drilling thing is what I did for my unicorn and my old 1969 Yamaha bike. Rethreader tool is available to buy in various sizes. And doesn't need a welder but just someone with steady hands and experience. The drilling is the tricky part. If the screw hole doesn't have an opening on the other side you need to be careful not to damage the part with the drill bit. But again it needs steady hands and experience, not a welder.
But I get your point as this is strictly diy.

What?! No I was not offended by your post. I was just acknowledging that I have not seen any part of a 200NS engine opened. As such I was just saying that this method worked for me but in my case it was diy and no one should attempt the same without prior experience.
