Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Since you said engine oil burning smell, I guess it's not a visible leak and somehow the oil is getting burnt actually. Do you get smoke when you start the engine for the first time in the morning?Originally posted by *_*$hrikant*_* View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I changed the Gasket once... But looks like the leak is from the Pipe on the left side which goes into the Engine...Originally posted by krixna View PostSome synthetic oils (depends on composition) eat through rubber. And that too, only through second quality stuff. So if your luck is bad, you have rubber parts in your engine that cannot withstand a FS oil. Seal and other rubber part manufacturers for the engine now make rubber stuff compliant with FS oil, but you can never rule out possibilities of bad ones creeping in. Say, a batch of seals with wrong rubber composition due to some fault in the manufacturing process, which also bypasses the QC and ends up with Bajaj.
Apart from that my bike has got a hit in the Mileage. Earlier used to get 36+ on city. Now it's not even close to 28. And the top speed has gone down from 140 to 126.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Its about 500 - 1000 bucks excluding labour. Its hard to get it, atleast here in Delhi. The SVC would order it from the Pune plant and it would take around 3 to 4 weeks to be delivered here.Originally posted by aadithya_s View PostI have the same problem with my nike. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Monoshock on my 13k km done NS has gone bad too, i took it to them and they refused to do anything as they beleive it is fine as there is no oil leak. Monoshock goes all the way down without much resistance , their logic is Soft shocker is actually good for your back. i am thinking of best way to handle this situation. any pointers are welcome.Originally posted by OccasionalWanderer View PostMy rear mono shock had been getting progressively worse and after some advice here I went and got it checked at a service centre. They said the rear shock is completely gone and has to be replaced. They asked me the purchase date (Jan 2015) and kilometers(14,000) and then told me, no problem we will get it replaced for you. After I gave it to them, they sent me a bill for 2,700Rs.
i would suggest to Email Provided Bill to the bajaj customer care, my experience with CC has been top notch and Showroom ppl were on backfoot and repeatedly calling me after just a enquiry email about price difference i was quoted.
Guys , i find Seat of my NS very uncomfortable after 3-4 hour of Continous riding, what can be done to make it better. are there any strap on products or some modification with seat i can try? or i need to get new better foam installed or something else. seat on my Enfield is much better but it is so slow to ride #lol

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Looking to buy new rear tyre for my NS . Have been using MRF Revz.. puncture prone, even sharp stone can get through this soft MRF, also worst for gravel and offroading. Suggest me tyres that can avoid hydroplaning during rain and best grip on gravels. Would be grateful if I get a reply.

Recently I installed the MRF zapper s1(stock tyre for Honda hornet 160) 140/70 . Till now the tyre is serving good , no panic break lock ,good grip levels on wet & excellent on dry surface . It costs 3500.Originally posted by saran93 View PostLooking to buy new rear tyre for my NS . Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello.
I own a pulsar NS from the 2012 batch. Have done more than 40k kms on it
Facing a few issues. Don't understand what it is. All this happened after i got my bike serviced. First the throttle response that used to be is no more, at first gear, i twist the throttle and release thr clutch but the revs seem to die once the clutch closes. Second acceleration in first gear has also taken a hit. Dunno if both these issues are connected or not, but again in the first gear when i open throttle, bike seems like it doesn't have the kind of torque it used to have unless i push it beyond 4k rpm mark.
Third, idling rpm has become unstable. Without any change to the rpm screw, it sometimes idles well at 1500-1800 rpm, sometimes the revs just dip and come close to the 1k mark.
Fourth, experienced this today first time, at idling the bike electrical power just cuts off for a micro second, engine almost dies, then the electricals come back up and engine starts revving normally.
Fifth, after I got my front brake pads changed and rear one cleaned at the authorized svc, both front and rear brakes have lost the bite they had before. They're like a sponge now, very little feedback from them. FYI, my svc never flushes out the brake oil and replace it with a completely new one. I told him to do it he says its not required. Is it though?
I dunno what those svc guys did, messing up a perfectly fine bike. I had NONE of these problems before I gave it to service. Absolutely fed up with bajaj svc now.
Any help/insight appreciated. I feel I'm looking at serious repairs here.

1, 2, 3: Idle mixture setting is wrong. The pilot mixture screw is at wrong setting. Get it set right. Takes 5 minutes.Originally posted by Saif Karbelkar View PostHello.

4: Water in the ignition switch? Not able to figure that out exactly
5: Bite will be back shortly when the pads become polished again. Till then be careful.
Yeah, it is good to flush brake fluid every couple of years, but not compulsory though.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
So I completed 45000 KMS mark on Pulsar 200 NS (2012). I'd say an excellent bike in all perspectives. I has enjoyable power without compromising on fuel efficiency, can ride anywhere without breaking a sweat. Bike is very nimble on pocket. Spares are readily available.
The only things I have been searching from the past 4 years are a good pair of hand guards. I have tried those LED strip ones from eBay but they are waste of money.
Can anyone suggest me how to source hand guards ?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences - Good seat covers for NS
Guys,
Has anyone sourced good seat covers for NS?
Rear seat is very hard. Over rigid surfaces, you can literally feel all the undulations of the road. I tried checking for good seat covers online (Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal) but it seems to be rubbish. I am into touring and need some extra padded seats. Appreciate if you can provide any pointers.
PS: I am based out of Mysuru. I can travel to Bengaluru in case you know of any good shops there.
Cheers!

You can consider strap on gel seats these are available at redlineplus.in website.Originally posted by surajr.88 View PostGuys,

Try out Rao seat covers in Bengaluru... He is said to be one of the best and has quite a reputation such that the Triumph showroom guys also recommend him for seat modifications. You can google him out.Originally posted by surajr.88 View PostGuys,
