I thought the entire oil will come pouring out of it:banghead:
Thank god i have you people

Wont happen mate. Just dont leave it open and wander off for a cup of tea... You will definitely lose all the oil you got in there.. Lol

Cheers mate.. Glad to assist in anyway we can.

Did you think that the oil will climb up from the gearbox sump to the oil filter and come out?
Oil filter's hole is at a higher level, bro!

Guys,
I have figured out a used NS for sale
Odo 3600kms
Reg 10/2013

Didn't run extensively and mostly short commutes in bengaluru.

I have ridden it and found no issues and scratch-free other than the paint has aged or turned brown on the exhaust pipe. Tyres and shifting seems to be precise, even I drove at 108 with pillion and I didn't find any rattling or unstable. But Its weird the rear tyres didn't lock or skidded alike others I have tested, It was cushy and took some distance to stop. Is it because of tyre compound getting aged or something should I worry about.

Owner is NRI student quoting 72k. Idea deal? Even he have lapsed insurance for last two years and needs to be renewed.

Hello,

When i switch on my bike and turn ON the headlight, i see that the console doesn't get lit at times. However if i try to turn OFF & ON the headlights, i starts lighting up. What could be the issue?

IMO considering that its '13 model, not considering the odo I think thats way overpriced. 72 is something you could get an early 2015 model for.

However you wanna take a call considering the odo is still at only 3500 kms and thats less than about 90 kms a month which means that the internals could have taken a hit. Moreover can you vouch for the way it has been kept all this while taking storage precautions when not in use ?

About the 108 I would suggest to not keep that as a criteria because my bros ages old 180 also can easily do 108 with a pillion.

Just my two cents worth... xplod566 sold off his AS, guess it was 2015 too, for about 80 something so going by depreciation rates 72 is a tad high.

Internal would have taken a hit? - can you define this

I know oil lose their viscosity over ages but plastic will get brittle in couple of years? It seems stored in underground shadowed parking lot. What would be sensible quote?

Based on my limited knowledge, quite a few things could go wrong with a less ridden motorcycle if not taken care off properly -

1. Prolonged periods of zero riding leads to gasoline destruction which is harmful primarily for the carb. Gasoline is a composite of water and acids, so prolonged periods of non riding could break it down and the acids may harm the inners and fuel lines, not to forget choked carbs. (Need no explanation on that)
2. If optimum tyre pressure is not maintained, it may lead to cracking of tyres due to the motorcycles weight. Not worried about tyres going brittle since you mentioned it was stored underground.
3. Engine losing its viscocity or even thickening up
4. Oil seal may dry out and cause leakages
5. The chain - less said the better since with less / no lube that would be the first to go kapoot
6. Battery gets charged through the coil (do not remember the exact name off hand) however with a motorcycle doing only about 90 a month I wonder how much juice there would be. Was the battery charged regularly is a question you may wanna ask
7. Underground storage - Was the area well ventilated though since in 8th standard I was taught that fungi thrive in cool moist areas. You may wanna keep a watch out.

Do not get me wrong but I have no intention of discouraging you. You may wanna check for these pointers, check the servicing record of the bike if that was done regularly since there is a day interval to that too. If you find all is intact that you may have pretty slick machine on your hands for you to love and enjoy. All the best bro

I do fuel tank to fuel tank plus I keep a track on fuelly.com. The benefit of fuelly is that you can choose to do a partial fuel up and then the next time you tank up, the mileage is calculated accordingly.
