Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
How much period do we pay tax for? Is there a one year option? Five years? Or is it lifetime tax (which is overkill!)??Originally posted by adhirajb View PostHi jbm_guy
a. Pay up the tax and roam around.
For only paying tax, NOC is not needed. All you need is RC, Valid insurance and Vehicle Invoice. They will assess the tax based upon your invoice value. Once you pay the same you will get a tax slip. You have to carry that along with you. Your registration number and RC will not change.
However there are 2 downsides to this process. Firstly, you will be flagged down in case of RTO checks, but on showing the tax slip they will release you. Secondly you will not be eligible for any tax refund once you leave KA. (Most of the time you will never get any tax refund).
You can go for this in case your stay is of short term and you have plans to sell the vehicle in the parent state.

Thanks againOriginally posted by adhirajb View PostHappy to help buddy
For just paying tax, you do not need anything. They are only interested in $$.
If you face any issues, just go to the Regional transport Officer and show the below screenshot
I have myself paid the tax for my MH registered Y-R15v2.
, so transfer bike from here, --> drive to RTO office nearby my area --> ask for tax payment --> get docs verified and pay --> get the receipt and drive home
Guess it might take couple of days... but worth it. Will keep in mind...
@krixna 6000/- for NS is okay considering the pain and fear of getting fined or harassed by cops..I have to do the same for Activa as well
. Do you know what is tax card?. Did it come with every bike purchase?. My bad, I thought it was my income tax report

@xplod566 , yes bro. Transferring to B'glore. Maybe forever... as my field has more opportunities there, my comp wants me to get transferred there, but sadly on my own expense
. Will definitely meet and get around once I get settled. I'm planning to reside somewhere around Marathalli will be there by 21st March. I plan to drive myself from here, but my family doesn't allow and understand the excitement
. Hoping positively

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Something just cropped up in my head -
Can the switching from 7100 to dtsi result in a drop in lower end acceleration ?
Regarding my issues of non punchy performance at lower revs the following issues have been checked and crossed out -
1. Chain slack
2. Clutch cable slack
3. Spark plugs changed to correct model. Long story about how the wrong ones got there.
4. Accelerator cable checked
5. Disc alignment and pads checked to no contact with disc
6. Co at 1.6
Will be going on Monday for the carb. My mechanic suggested against getting everything done the same day since we would not be able to pin point exactly whats wrong. Surprisingly, for some reason the mileage has suddenly increased by 2 - 3 kmpl all of a sudden.
Any other checks I may be missing out ?
