Maximum wattage that this battery can support is approx 120W.
Yes that's right. xplod566 Moreover one more factor, the battery is like 12x8ah=~96wh means it can provide a max of 96watts (say a 100w bulb)for ~55 mins or two 100w bulb for ~25 mins. As long as the battery amphere requirements meet, is fine. With 8ah, you can even for an 8ah 100w bulb. But going over more than 8ah bulb or using such device will burnt the wire and other components.... And battery dies too

In your case, You can connect without any problem, but whenever you go to idle/neutral make sure you turn off the headlamp.

This is true for all vehicles..... Because at idle rpms out even under 3k rpm, the battery doesn't charge at all.... For a battery to charge, there is a minimum constant current required. In such cases the battery will take days to get full charge and sometimes they never get full charged.....

I guess bajaj might have made some changes in alternator of rs to support the headlight setup ..
Because on ns headlights dim on idle .. By dimming it doesn't dim that much just a little bit .. Both on low and high beam ..

You are spot on. There could be a change in alternator. With 110w burning, the battery discharged quickly and hence it should charge quickly as well.... Using a same battery doesn't mean we can also use.

But caution is required when using it.
xplod566, bro do you find significant amount of luminous upon using both together?. In ns, i felt only just a bit.....

Yes the light is huge and I have never seen any bike with so much light when enabled both the lights.I mean its just insane.it can pretty much light most of the part of road in highway.that'd why I am wondering if I can enable both the lights .

No I was planning to go to service centre or any local shop for it.but what I fear is if in case the battery goes down all of a sudden as both the lights will be on then I will be in trouble. Now since the RS has both the lights on so I was hoping if AS can be made so

Maybe ns doesnt have projector, wo might not illuminate as much as as.

Have ns third service next month, planning to go back to 60 w stock halogen, this led projector is taking severe toll in monsoon nights.....

If you use both, make wiring such that only on high beam you connect two bulbs, on low beam use your one low beam projector alone

Make sure your battery has enough juice. That's the first check. Carb bikes are OK to run with push start in gear 2. So don't worry... Find a good shop to do.

Yes I will be doing that only.because the high beam is extremely powerful and basically blinds the traffic.

BTW do you have any idea as to where the wiring can be.I mean where it needs to be opened.and also do I need to open the fairing ?
I am noob in this.

Good. Another alternative is, use an external charger to charge to battery in case if you ran out of trouble.

I have a 12V, 1A power adapter (which I used for my electronics hobbies project long back). Anyway last year when my wife started using her Activa after a month, battery drained after using button. I then did a manual charge. It was a 12V, 4Ah battery. I charged it for eight hours and finally it was ready with full charge. In case of 8ah, the charging time will increase to 8-10 hours to reach a 90% max.

I'm not so sure. A P220 guy might help. NS didn't have those, and removing the head unit (console+headlamp) was possible. Better find a good shop rather than doing it yourself. Because the tool sets that Bajaj gives us is very basic ones, and we can't dismantle it properly or easily.

There is a mechanic in my town who is like a specialist with NS
Is your mechanic in Tvm?

Nope it doesn't dim on idle. But yes if you use high current from the battery then below 2.5K RPM the alternator would not charge the battery. But above it would be great. So since high beam would be used on highway only, so you are good to go.

Well, who uses a 100W filament in cities? Even if one uses a 100/90W bulb you are going to use 100W filament on highways only (if one follows sane riding and respects oncoming traffic), and on highways one would be hovering above 4K RPMs so its safe there. Also you can check out some previous pages where people have claimed of using a 100/90W bulb easily with stock reflector and battery. One guy even posted a video of the same and used a multimeter to check the voltage.

And talking about my setup I use only the DRLs and the fog lamps while riding in the city as I live in Delhi, where most of the roads are well lit and these two things are even brighter than my headlight.
(I switched to Osram NB unlimited 60/55W)
Even for the video I posted, it was a bit tough to find that dark road.
