Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
If you are talking about the AS headlamp setup then low beam and high beam hives us a total of 55W + 55W = 110W (AFAIK AS has 55W + 55W setup), so that would suck approx 9 Amps. On a 8Ah battery you would get less than an hour of juice since not only the headlamps but other things would also be using battery.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostSo for eg if I keep both the lights on and my RPM is less than 4K for XYZ reason then it won't be charged right?in that case how long until battery dies ?Vrooming Soul..!!

Yes your calculation is right.but what I fail to understand is how come in RS both the lights are enabled then without draining that much battery ?Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostIf you are talking about the AS headlamp setup then low beam and high beam hives us a total of 55W + 55W = 110W (AFAIK AS has 55W + 55W setup), so that would suck approx 9 Amps. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Same goes for rs too. But rs might have a high current charger (alternator). So battery might charge quickly than ours. You can go ahead and do it. My concern about 100w bulb is not to end up burning the reflector and writes. Your case is safer here and you don't want to touch the lights too, so no problem... Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yeah just mentioned. A 90w bulb might not do pretty harm, but my concern is a typical 8a load(for a 90/100w) could sometimes burn the wires... Also worried about reflector melting. Some of our ns friends already mentioned about that here.... That's my concern. Are you using one?Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostWell, who uses a 100W filament in cities? Even if one uses a 100/90W bulb you are going to use 100W filament on highways only (if one follows sane riding and respects oncoming traffic), and on highways one would be hovering above 4K RPMs so its safe there. Also you can check out some previous pages where people have claimed of using a 100/90W bulb easily with stock reflector and battery. One guy even posted a video of the same and used a multimeter to check the voltage.
And talking about my setup I use only the DRLs and the fog lamps while riding in the city as I live in Delhi, where most of the roads are well lit and these two things are even brighter than my headlight.
(I switched to Osram NB unlimited 60/55W)
Even for the video I posted, it was a bit tough to find that dark road.

Bro, are you using 90/100w setup?Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostNope it doesn't dim on idle. But yes if you use high current from the battery then below 2.5K RPM the alternator would not charge the battery. But above it would be great. So since high beam would be used on highway only, so you are good to go. [emoji106]

I had posted a video of my setup a few pages before, other than those lights I have a Osram NB UL 60/55W.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostBro, are you using 90/100w setup?
Ya you are absolutely correct using a 100/90W is not a plug and play replacement. For using a 100/90W, the stock H4 holder needs to be changed to a Ceramic or a Nylon 66 made holder and a probably a heavy finolex wire with a 10A fuse and a relay for the load.
Now, a relay is necessary because the stock switch is made to withstand a 60W load only and it will get damaged on a 100W load, so a it just turns on the relay which in turn operates the bulb.
Coming to the reflector, I had read previously in this forum that people had tried a 100W bulb successfully with the stock reflector and had claimed, that it can surely support a 100W bulb.
But I think this all talk started with someone asking to use twin projectors on his AS.
So, that can be done for sure.
All this relay knowledge was gathered from my 1 year experience since I joined my father's businesses.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Guys... Just got my NS tuned and thanks heavens i did. The CO reading of the bike was close 4.30 which was about almost three times the normal amount. Got it set at 1.5 and the bike is rollicking again with new set of spark plugs too. Got the old ones to keep as spares in case of any exigencies.
Thanks guys for suggesting the CO method especially xplod566. Btw if any NS owners in gurgaon wanna use the CO tuning method they can head to Krishna Bajaj on New Railway road in gurgaon near the post office. They are the only Bajaj delearship in Gurgaon to have that machine.
Thanks again guys. Now all I need to do is hope that it sets the issues right with mileage and other minor running issues.

I second that... Does no good except for the clutch feeling a tad light.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostOne of my friend in his Duke 390 uses it.doesn't do much help except for clutch just a little light

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Totally agree on that... The NS is a looker by all means.. No offence to any other bikes but its of the most agressive looking bikes on the road.Originally posted by danny king View PostAbsolutely bro, exclusive and unique. Even after 3 years, my NS still makes people take a good look at it.
