Butter smooth.... I'm running on a new tuning during the pujas...lets see.. Its a more leaner tuning... I always run a bit lean... Touched 100kmph at 6.5k rpm in 6th and 125kmph at 8k rpm both with a pillion and pulled the entire strip in 6th gradually... those new tyres did take its toll on performance and mileage...
The condition of the spares' availability is really pathetic out here. Well I haven't fiddled with the factory tuning yet and find it satisfactory but after 1st service will tune it to a li'l bit leaner.
I too touched 128kmph with a pillion two days back at just below 8k rpm. Had a big grin under the helmet on seeing the effortlessness with which it pulled.
Btw are those revz a lot heavier than the eurogrips? The profile makes more rubber contact which reduces the performance n mileage...but should be marginal right?

What I like in these philips xtreme vision is the throw is very far and focused, and even with that throw the light is pretty good. The low beam is as much as 100% brighter, that I am sure, but about the high beam, all I can say is that it covers double the distance of the high beam of the stock one with as much as light of the stock one throughout the distance.

My bike has not faced such an issue till now and I am now at 5000km on the odo and the bike is 48days old.

So my suggestion would be take it to the service centre immediately and get it resolved. Such things should not happen on a new bike unless you are very careless than me and let me tell you I dont even cover my bike(that is because I did find a good quality one here), and it is subjected to all the torture of the weather.

yup my front disc plate is damaged....manufacturing defect... My disc was making khach khach sound and then the svc found that my plate is bent... They found the same in a few other ns whose disc is squeeling... It stops when the pads are wet... And the sound stops when i apply the brakes... No difference ie braking power though... @myth: yeah the revz-s did reduce performance and mileage by a small margin but it surely is worth the safety... The softer compound along with the increased contact area is the culprit... Not only the rear, but i am also running a soft compound at the front...so both is responsible... I just wonder how fast the r15 v2 will be if the eurogrips are fitted on them... and i touched that 125 at 8k with a pillion in full upright position at rajarhat with a lot of wind blast...that too i was riding at 55 in 6th and and pulled slowly from the same gear... Ripping it with give better results for sure. Gotto try it later

              • 1900kms on ODO..
                +tives:
                1. Very stable during cornering and off roads.
                2. Never let you down during overtakes.
                3. Breaks are very effective, if not the tires though.
                4. Comfortable riding position.
                5. The engines opens up post 6k RPMS and produces awesome sound.. as someone exclaimed.. BASSY!!!
                -tives
                1. Gear shifting has never been smooth, every time I change a gear, even my pinion can hear that sound .. tried everything half clutch, exact RPMS..
                2. Swaying to left - want to click a pic with my hands wide open while riding, seems like I have to make this wish happen with the help of center stand now
                3. Less Fuel Economy - Max speed: 100kmph (thrice); Max RPM: 7k (thrice) but the Max Mileage: 37kmpl (Always)

                Queries:
                1. I have observed a more seriously problem with low ground clearance, ain't any NS200 owners felt that? The speed breakers (steep ones) have become a nightmares with a pinion on board.. Any suggestions/adjustments to overcome that?
                2. In my RC the make/model is written as BAJAJ PULSAR 200 DTSI, shouldn't that be Pulsar200NS?
Can somebody from Bangalore check this out?Especially with KA-04 RTO?
                https://vahan.nic.in/nrservices/face...rchDetails.jsp
                3. Can I change the Engine oil to Motul post 2000 kms, If yes then to which variant?
                Vrom.. Vromvroom..Vrooooooom........

Did faced and Stimm am sometimes facing the problems of false neutrals while Shiftong from 1st to 2nd, but now, i have developed a connection with DESTINY, to know when the False neutrals are happening, and thus correct it on the spot.

Go slow on bumpers when with pillion (Especially if the pillion is heavy), On the Other hand you can harden the suspension settings, to avoid under belly scratch.

@Rahul and @Myth - Seems like both of you are taking ur bike to high RPMs. I am still to go beyond 7K mark.
Myth, I think the tuning of ur bike is good enough.. No need to fiddle with it at this point of time. And u are getting 42kmpl AFI remember. U want more???

Rahul, as you might have realised has already tasted first blood and just can't stop himself from tasting it again and again
I have taken it to 128kmph just once and don't have any plans until 1000km. (Im on 510kms now). But yes I take the rpm to 5.5-6k at times as I feel (personally) all the gears should be able to run at all rpms smoothly. So kind of training them
I'm really satisfied with the mileage and linear power delivery...but might just experiment (haven't decided yet).
I guess the svc should re-open by thursday right?

                    P.S. Current mileage 46kmpl

It's more flickable than apache (had rode rtr 160 for a few kms) and as much as fz. never tested duke...

                              • Got punked!!

Hi my bike has clocked over 2000k. Have followed the run in properly.

The other day I just got punked by a Karizma R (with a pillion -I was solo). Felt that the bike just had no midrange to overtake the 12 year old fossil.
I know that these ego battles are worth nothing, but its saddening to see a new 1 lac bike get beaten by the T-rex.
I mean i've heard people say that the NS has a low lower and midrange torque and is more about higher revs but then post 120 the bike starts facing wind resistance!! So it seems that it doesnt cut the deal in either situations. I could have bought a smoother, cheaper, and more reliable Karizma instead!!
PS: I have done a lot of dragging and racing a few years ago so its not my riding style or gear shifting that did me in.
                                DISAPPOINTED!!
Two legs and Two wheels. Add two more and they become crutches and cars.
