I wish the senior guys who did a lot of riding would contribute to this thread.I wonder why this issues did not come up in reviews and long term review.I mean bike swaying to left is quite hard to miss, right?
Glad that bajaj solved vibration in tank problem.

That will be unfair to say mate... check my review here, which I had posted when my bike was ~2500 kms old. I guess I had honestly put the cons there. We are in an ownership thread and people here will report the cons also. This is not a magazine review that we have to say all good about it. I guess the new members need to go through the thread.

@albyjose - I have done 11,500 kms on my NS and trust me, I love it to the core. it has issues but given the money you pay for it its total value for money.

Apologies for not being regular on this thread. Just post a question and I will for sure reply from now on if I have an answer to it...

    Cheers..

You can go to the authorised MRF dealer & ask for d same , if he says that if the exact dimension is not availble ,U can say its there in Honda CBR 150 & if he can get it for you.

Kindly scan the Market thoroughly at get them . Do post 3-4 pics as soon as you install them.

Front tyre- I think even if u use the current tyres provided then also it will do good, as the maximum weight of the bike is at the rear & not the front.

Do not install any other tyre of different dimension as it will affect the stability & handling of the bike very badly.

For expert information you may log on to (autocarindia.com, Overdrive.com , bsmotoring.com & also youtube for their respective road tests).

If you let me know ur e-mail id , I will mail u the youtube links if u want.

PSD's are made of very soft compund & will wear out quickly, expensive & heavy (will affect starting acceleration).
Also check for warranty as well.

Wid MRF u will get warranty as well.

Hey thanks fr the info!!! Will def post the pics. And also, as mentioned erlier; please post the links in the forum so that everyone can benefit!

      Thanks again!!

      • All issues regarding SVC mechanics are so damn true. I had asked for tappet setting to be corrected since my bike started giving the tappet noise once it heated up. He took the vehicle @ 9:00 and delivered at 16:00. The issues I reported were:
        1. Tappet adjustment.
        2. AFR setting to make it 1.5% CO
        3. Passenger footrest tightening (it was vibrating)
        4. Tank and fairing vibration.

The a****** has only done the second one out of the four. That also I think he has only reduced the idling and not adjust AFR. I am going to go in for my first service at a different showroom. If things don't improve after the first service, I am going to send a strong mail to customer service.

No offense mate, I did say mostly. & tons of thanks to xbhp & all it's members here, the threads too, we can share, help & communicate very effectively about almost everything.
Just stated a general view which, if u really put ur thoughts on, is pretty much so. But I guess it's true to say that most of them are usually the 1st hand review, unlike ur's.
So again, no offense mate, but a correction to my previous statement will be the initial reviews..

I use shell ax7 semi synthetic. Motul FS at 5k kms. Changed the oil yesterday. And ya, it did smell really fresh And one query. The oil when changed was golden yellow in colour and almost completely transparent. After I did a long ride today with a heavy pillion, I saw the oil had turned a bit reddish. Normal? Or am I worrying too much? ...
No , it is not alright to use a 10w40 oil where a 20w50 is recommended by the engine manufacturer . While you can get away with that in winter and riding conservatively , but in summer or if riding hard or both or either, there shall be trouble . You can get a 15w50/20w50 mineral , no particular compulsion for semi/full synthetic .
It is quite normal for oil to change colour(darken) a bit just after filling from the residual oil which was dirty and could not be drained . It is normal and not a cause for any concern . Just keep the oil to correct level . And no, you aren't overdoing it - keeping an wide eye out for your engine's oil quality and quantity is something everyone(including me) should be doing more often than we do now .

                • Currently at 15,722kms and am only 3 days less to 60days of ownership of the NS.

Would be replacing the entire ODO meter under warranty tomorrow or day after as it has gone faulty. The RPM meter doesn't go above 5k seems as it is stuck there although I am revving it quite high and even the over rev light is getting lit up. The display of the speedo is strange as everything on it (temp, fuel gauge, etc) are on all the time. Visited the PbK today to determine the root cause and the spare was not with them. I hope the speedo would be available by tomorrow as they promised.

Thanks to the faulty display, I was about to get stuck at Daund. It was displaying as fuel to be near full (2 bars less only). Had forgot to move the fuel-controller from reserve to ON position also I wasn't taking note of the kms from last tank fill. Suddenly the bike acted as petrol supply was stopped. Checked up everything I could on the roadside and found nothing funny. opened the tank cap and there was the reason, Fuel finished! Had to push the bike for around 100mtrs before the life saving petrol bunk showed up!

and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Hmmm...so I'm in a dilemma as to what to do now. I've just changed the engine oil. Sir, you said there shall be trouble. Of what sort?

I am not sure, but using the wrong grade oil does not end up well for the engine. The minimum damage would be shortening the life time of engine, while the worst case is a seizure, don't worry, change the oil immediately, and if possible the oil filter too.Oil strainer change recommended?I don't know.

if you do not rip the bike or take it at higher revs the oil will work fine
taking example of a honda activa we can use both 10w30 and 20w40
the first oil works well till about 30-32degree celcius while the second one can work till 40degrees

since its winter the oil most probably work fine but bajaj knows their engine well than us and if they have recommended 20w50..please stick to it

no harm done...just change the oil now...
and i dont think u need to change the oil filter..its job is to just purify the oil or fine particles

but i do recommend removing the oil filter as some amount of oil is left there too...fir the filter back again...and also clean the oil strainer when u remove the oil drain bolt

takes about 1 hour...can be done in half an hour if the mechanic works only on your bikes with no shifting focus or timepass here and there
but 1 hour it took for me

gave the bike at 10 and got back at 12:30

now the rest of the ime i was waiting for my bike to get washed and the mechanic to get free from the earlier bike so he can work on mine

go to the svc as early as possible and request that u want to stand and get service in front of me
if they decline tell them i want to talk to the manager and wont sign on the free service coupon as the work done wasnt done to my satisfaction and threaten to send a complain mail to the bajaj customer care that they wont let me watch my bike geting serviced and i suspect service job not done upto the mark as mchanics skip most of the parts

they just adjust sparkplugs chain lube oil change lights and brakes check and tune the carb if they feel like
