Not here to start a brand war...Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostGiven both the bikes in good hands I would say it's a Win-Win Situation.
P.S. At least hoping that this answer here will not start a brand war here...
But, for a CBR150R
Max torque is 12.66Nm @ 8500RPM and max power is 17.81 PS @ 10500 RPM (says the Honda website)
Source: CBR150R
(Power was mentioned in bhp in Honda website... converted it to PS... 1Hp= 1.014PS)
Whereas for a Pulsar 200NS
Max torque is 18.3 Nm @ 8000 RPM and max power is 23.2 PS @ 9500 RPM
Source: Pulsar 200ns Technical Specs, Pulsar 200 cc Specifications
So... spec wise Pulsar 200NS shouldn`t have much of a difficulty smoking off CBR150R (without considering the fairing fact and wind resistance)... I am guessing... Not to start off any war... Just my take!sigpic

why 120/70 , our rear tire is of 130/70 profile. You can either go with Mrf REVZ-S , Pirelli Sports Daemon, IRC RoadWinner.Originally posted by jenimu_kanna007 View PostI'm planning to change the tyres to 120/70 of mrf on rear please get me the right choice in tyres i'm feeling nerves in high speed b'coz of the tyre skid
I have changed it to RevZ-S , the grip is very good , especially on wet roads you clearly make out the difference, but expect a decline in mileage by 1-2 kmpl.ATGATT! There are many wonderful riders/drivers out there who would intrude in your riding space without any notice. Be prepared. Stay Safe.

Problems problems problems....
The baby screeches a lot now a days, plus a tik tik noise from the front portion. Cant really make out where it is coming from. Comparatively hard shifts, and the heat hits my legs more often. Any inputs??? 1850 on odo and last oil change at 580.Riding is not about destinations, it's about journeys.

Here's the difference between both;
P.S. All numbers are just mere calculations and real world timings may vary based on various parameters, let alone the fairing to be the least of the considerations. That's why i said it's a Win-Win Situation.Parameters CBR 150R 200NS Power 17.57 Bhp 23.04 Bhp Kerb Weight 138 Kg 145 Kg 1/4 Timing with 60Kg on board 17.82 Sec 16.51 Sec Bhp/ Tonne 127 Bhp/ Tonne 158 Bhp/Tonne

Aha... The answer I wanted to hear!Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostThat's why i said, "Given in Good Hands, both will be in Win- Win Situation"..
Here's the difference between both;
CBR 150R 200NS
Power: 17.57 Bhp 23.04 Bhp
Kerb Wt: 138 Kg 145 Kg
1/4 Mile Timing as
Calculated with 17.82 Sec 16.51 Sec
a 60kg Rider
Power Bhp/ Tonne 127 Bhp/ Tonne 158 Bhp/ Tonne
P.S. All numbers are just mere calculations and real world timings may vary based on various parameters, let alone the fairing to be the least of the considerations. That's why i said it's a Win-Win Situation.
But still ~1 second difference in 1/4 mile... I am happy!
Let`s end it here bro... Glad you answered!
The real world is where we all live... and nothing can be predicted... so at the end of the day...I would say just keep yourself happy with your machine... else, you will have to keep picking up drags every single time you drive, just to prove that Bajaj is a better manufacturer or Pulsar is better name than the one`s the other guy drives isn`t worth anything!
Cheers bro!

Just 230km on odo with first service done
Facing noticeble tank vibrations after about 3.75K-4K rpm(havent crossed 5.5Krpm yet so duno if they are resonance vibes or is there some issue)
had mentioned it in the job card and all they did was tighten the bolts
now is it really so or i have become unnecessarily more conscious that i face more vibration than before
noticed rust at the front fork tubes at the top most area where it joins the headlamp
heard other people have it too...
the bike looks fantastic and quality feels top notch when just "looked at" but it isnt that top notchy...but it aint bad tooo...its good..
may be try an oil change and check if you are running lean...i too nowadays feel heat on my left leg but when i stop to check the radiator fan isnt on...strange...Originally posted by Arun Magus View PostProblems problems problems....

guys can anybody help me out how to increase the rear brake lever play? The svc guy has tighten it a lot and by almost just touching it brake is applied, which can result in rear wheel lockout in panic/emergency braking.....My ride....My SUNSHINE... :)

If it is some serious rust... fire up a mail to BAL... with a picture... They`ll get back to you for sure. I don`t remember seeing any such rust on mine!Originally posted by mayank.travadi View PostJust 230km on odo with first service done

Find out from your SVC if the Rubber Grommets for the tank vibrations have arrived... That should reduce majority of the vibrations.
230+500kms (assuming you`ve given it to first service @ 500kms on ODO) is way too early to judge... let the engine run-in, gears break-in and then you will have one gem of a bike... ofcourse, niggles will come... and fixes will be found!
SO cheers... Ride safe!sigpic

Its the opposite for me, the ride feels more refined now, no more miss shifts plus overall its a lot smoother at 1600kms on the odo now.Originally posted by Arun Magus View PostProblems problems problems....

Although there is a very feeble whistling sound coming everytime I ride for more than 20mins or so, have no idea what is causing it!? Any inputs on this guys?

haha...no bro...its just simply 230km on the odo....
busy with exams...
contacted the SVC already and they have no idea about any rubber grommet and the mechanic said only the first few initial lots had vibrations and the new ones dont have...
yes the bike is indeed one of a gem
i always get late wherever i have to reach just because i spend time admiring it when its just parked :P
no not serious rust....a very thin layer...will contact SVC first adn ask them..if they do not offer any solution i'll shoot a mail to bajaj
but first i'll shoot a mail to the SVC customer care for poor service and skipping most of the checks to be performed at a service.Pulsar 200NS parts list
