Round Trip distance : 277.1kms
Roads : Awesome, you can do 110-120 all the way for the first 100kms.. last 18 kms have some patchy roads(photo attached).
While returning i did 50 kms in 27 minutes , now you can understand how smooth the roads are
Place : There is not much to do there, the bull is really huge, biggest monolithic Nandi in India, 6mtrs high and 8 mtrs long. Nandi is kept in a park surrounded by flowers, grass; i saw 2-3 types of birds there.. A nice place for photographers..
One famous temple is a must visit Virabhadra Swamy Temple. The pandit ji there saw me fully geared and asked me if i had come from bangalore. I said yes. He smiled. He was bathing the idol, asked me to wait till snan is over, gave me blessings , passed aarti and prasad. This place is a heaven for photographers , if u want to click old indian temple architecture..
Funny Incident : On my return journey a guy on CBR150R was next to me in a signal ,started making the vroom vroom sound and looked towards me, i opened my helmet visor and said : Not interested !!
THE DUDE : Why you are not interested?? Afraid of CBR ?? :P
Signal green : 3 gears redlined.. i could see him in the RVM struggling.. Next signal he again pulled up next to me , i opened my visor and said : that's why i was not interested , i don't consider CBR150R a competitor. And closed my lid..

Some pics from the trip :

P.S. : Did one more small tour to Yellagiri hills(370kms round trip) on sunday. Pics and small description soon.
My ODO stand at 6616 kms , and I am in love with this machine more than ever.
Lol.. I wonder the look on that guy's face (CBR dude) when u said that to him :P

Nothing more beautiful than a lone biker and good pictures...!!
Roads are full of such idiots bro... sad they do such things in city traffic... one moment you give into that... you end up trading your life (and at times others lives) for your ego... soo glad you did on Highways.. I always tell my friends or anyone who calls up a race... city roads are for commuting not tracks to race.. but yes I had my share of wiping the smug off Apache 180, R15 and FZ...!!
And the best answer anyone could have given to that CBR150R...!!!sigpic

And can I take my bike to any service showroom!? Asking because I bought my bike in Tondiarpet(small showroom, not sure if these guys will get the new updates)
Do we have a Fb page or something for Chennai NS Riders?
Both the horns man, they are so loud everyone thinks that its a car coming behind them and give wayOriginally posted by danny king View PostDid you fix both the horns or just one. Did you fix a relay. Where did you manage to fix them. Sorry about the line of questions.
I am about to buy a new set of horns or maybe a single HT horn. The stock horn is not good enough in the din of city traffic.
Could you post a few pictures. It would a lot useful for many of the members here.
Today morning, a scorpio was trying to overtake inside a small gap over on the left side of the lane, I jus honked from behind him, he got startled and pulled dangerously towards the right
I ll try to post some pics tonight. Horns cost 600 and fixing cost around 200(bit high, but he did a perfect job)
Yes you need a cut-out relay to spit the power and the power needs to be drawn straight from the battery point, under the rider seat.Last edited by ramdante; 11-20-2012, 01:47 PM.

Guys my 200Ns is @ Odo of 250Kms, I absolutely love the machine..
Got it a week Back.
However I am facing a small issue with the bike, I can hear a whining or screeching sort of noise while the bike is running.
Its not that loud, but its audible to me while riding @ slow speeds . its a small turn off.
I took it to Service center, they were not able to 'Reproduce' the issue.
Any body else , have faced the same issue , Please let me know the what is behind this noise , so that I can get it fixed.."A bike on the road is worth two in the shed"

Yes, you can take it any Bajaj Service center... Take it to Jai Auto, Adyar (if possible)... Only they have the technicians trained to handle the NS.. rest are just fooling around... don`t risk your bike... heard this from KLN Automobiles Service manager... that other SVC techinicians are getting trained to service NS... so not worth the risk!
Would love to join one such FB Page... There isn`t one... I guess!sigpic

Simple thing is that when you were redlining, he wasn't even hitting his power band. FYI, NS Redlines at 10000 RPM and CBR 150R at 11500 RPM, hope you got the differenceOriginally posted by kaydee_bangalore View Post

But again on a good note, it was actually good that he didn't Redline his, else it would have been a

Btw, a complete noob question (coming from a P150), if the guy had redlined his CBR, would it have smoked NS? I am asking because I am trying to understand engine mechanics and technology (When I was young, I was into the belief that higher cc = better speed)Last edited by vivek.m; 11-20-2012, 04:16 PM.sigpic

Given both the bikes in good hands I would say it's a Win-Win Situation.Originally posted by vivek.m View PostBtw, a complete noob question (coming from a P150), if the guy had redlined his CBR, would it have smoked NS? Sorry I am at office so couldn't frame the question correctly. I will ask again with the specific doubts I have. For now, guys, please don't start a brand war!!!Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostGiven both the bikes in good hands I would say it's a Win-Win Situation.
