    can you post pics?

is the sound better than earlier? since the two horns are dissimilar is it fine?

i had a question as to how is the second horn fitted? a wire is routed to the horn switch or what??

planning to do it on second service

cost of fitting and connecting the horn??

i sure can post a pic,you have to wait till i get home in evening.
      it definitely sounds better.
      things needed are a horn,horn jacks,a wire.
      fittings charge 20 bucks.
and the question remains why do i race?

Please bear wid me fr a few mins and give your valuable advices on the queries below..

        1) In my previous post I have shared my FE of 22.5 kmpl which increased to 32 kmpl (calculated by reserve to reserve) after AFR tuning by SVC mechanic...was suggested by fellow NSians to calculate by Tank full method.
        following are the results.
First tank full....rode 70% HIghway 30% City got 32.38 kmpl
Second tank full...rode 100% city got 27.28 kmpl.
My bike has done 1490 kms as of now..
Doesn't my FE looks less as compared o fellow NSians who have reported to have got even 45 kmpl...i would be happy with 35 kmpl also in City....could somebody plz tell is the FE i m getting is OK or it should increase...if yes then how do I increase it.

Mileage is still low in my opinion. Check ur tire pressure. Keep 32-34 in rear and 26-27. Check the chain slack, clean n lube the chain, get the air filter cleaned and your bike tuned. Maybe you are running on a very rich mixture.

        2) I bought my Bike in July 2012....still not completed Running-in as my run is very less..only 13 kms a day...i find reasons to hit the Highway...to finish off with running-in...is it OK for a less run per day

Not a problem. Running too much without breaks in a day during run in period can be harmful for the engine.

        3) I am also facing the Rattling noise from the font console like others....I also hear sound like that comes when u hav Steel keychain vibrating over steel handle...I think some nut came off inside the console...does any body feel such noise...

Yeah that noise is there in most of the bikes and it kicks in at a certain RPM range.

        4) When i am stationary and push the front forks in & out heavily with the front wheel locked by front brakes.....I hear a kink-u-kink-u-kink.....I hope u got it....what dat sound could be..also did anybody else felt the Same..

        5) The rear tyre pressure mentioned is 28.5...i wonder where can we get the pressure in decimals..as everywhere the pressure is set in whole nos. not a problem though...

        Maintain 32-34 in rear.

        6) There is a sound when the Front brakes are applied...which I feel comes from the oil reservior...the sound is something like PPRRRRRRR, which is clearly audible on silent stretches...which came after First Service...and not there before...I presume there is a bubble in Oil reservior...Experts plz confirm....

I have heard this noise in some bikes. Its not there in mine. Get it checked at SVC.

        7) I am planning to get my seats laminated with plastic...(currently have the plastic seat cover of pulsar 150 dts-i....which does very well...but not very good looking).....as my bike is parked generally under a tree...and have to save from bird poop...any Suggestions.....welcome

Even the seat covers for NS in particular have come now i guess, they cost somewhere near Rs 350/-

        8) The front footpegs...feels like in sometime it wud get inverted...just a plastic is holding it in place..wen dat plastic gives away...we would have problems...(there is a plastic insert on the bottom side of the footpegs)

        9) Have anyone tried to change the colour of the backlights of the switches...which is blue....I want to change that to White.....plz help...

        Not tried.

        10) One thing I have noticed that it is very easy for someone to remove the rear disc pads...isnt it bad...I have checked on other bikes like CBR 150..and it cud not be removed without any tools.....but in NS you can remove with your key also...jst hav to lift 2 pins..

        11) Can we remove the scratch on the Tachometer glass...i have one since day one...dint checked that before delivery....and when I went back...u know wat they would have said....

        12) Advice for all....I recently bought a Black synthetic enamel paint.and a thin brush..like the one we used in school days....and finely painted all places where rust was showing...trust me after a day wen the gloss reduces u wont get to know dat u painted....fine touches done mainly in places like adjuster of Rear shock absorber...side stand..main stand..front forks...front no. plate holder..saree guard..etc..

Thanks for the advice, when i got my tire changed the black paint/powder got scratched on my rear wheel.

        13) One more thing noticed during my recent visit to Bajaj Showroom dat the new NS's rear footpegs are not good quality...dey dont make tik-tik sound when closed or opened like mine..i think they started cost cutting and going for vendors who offers fr less...

Too much for d day......Thanx for reading.....

I dont always get time to ask this much.......making most of the opportunity

I maintain 26-27 in front and 29-30 in rear. (I ride mostly without pillion)
Recently i got air filled from a local tyre walla and he filled 35 in both. This reduced ride quality like crazy. For a week felt every bump on the road and felt loss in grip. At my next tank up, i got it back to recommended levels at the pump, and the difference is noticable.

I feel, 30+ (without) and 33+ (with pillion) will reduce ride quality

As for FE, i get 40-42, with 50-50 highway and city riding.

while you bought a p220 horn and fitted and JK bought 2 p220 horns n fitted i wonder why did u guys not get another p200NS horn and fitted it to the existing setup just a thought... any reason to specifically go for p220 horns?

              200 ns's horn is just a single 220's horn.
and the question remains why do i race?

Basically, when a bike has a dual horn setup as stock,it consists of one High and one Low tone horn.
Our NS's has a one horn setup, that is the High tone one.
In order to get your bike sounding like the 220,you either replace your stock setup with the 220's setup,or just buy a Low tone 220's horn.

                • Hi guyz,
I gave my bike today for first servicing, they asked me to collect it at 8 pm today. But i have a question abt the signatures that we have to do. They got my signature on the servicing slip on our booklet, and another one on the job card. Do we have to sign on some other paper too, after receiving the bike to mention whether we are satisfied with the service or not?

Second thing: they quoted 550+150, 700total for getting center stand fixed, do u know if that'the correct figure?

Thanks in advance for your replies...

OT, powerslides are pretty easy with the NS! Accidentally did one and kept doing it all day!
