"
since am new too biking and this is my first bike i dont know if what he told was true.what do you think guys?is there any lag in throttle response??
there are many things affecting the response of the throttle. The optimum response can only be seen when you are in the correct gear according to the speed you are going.
For example, consider you are going at 50kmph in 6th gear and you suddenly wanted to accelerate, but you cant, because that gear at that rpm(which might be around 3000k) does not pull the bike from that speed to a higher speed as the 4th gear does.

So, either your friend was expecting acceleration like that of fz or your afr might need some tuning.

      • Guys brought my BEAST yesterday..the bike is super smooth aspecially the gears..& the bike gets a lot of attention on-road...but there's a complaint...since the first ride back home after turned of the bike the coolant starts leaking, just 2-4 drops... But when the bike cools down more leakage occurs there's is no leakage when riding the bike...now the coolant level is almost near Min...tomorrow my Dad will call the SVC...the showroom is abt 30kms away...so should he ride the bike till there or call the SVC guys here to repair? & is this a serious problem?Another problem is that the fuel guage is not at all working..just filled full tank petrol & its not showing any bar & the reservce light is on..are these problems easily solvable & it will be covered under gurantee right? Pls help guys..

        • Both issues will covered under warranty , no problems, about the fuel guage, most probably the sensor might be loose or something. Get the coolent leak fixed ASAP.

Congrats on your new ride BTW.

          Cheers Mate

Can't wait to get hands on it. Here in Coimbatore, it doesn't look like there is much demand for this bike, It is available on same day. Only Yellow is delivered on demand.

My basic idea of placing a tank pad,
Since we do not get any made specially for the NS.
I googled a rank pad along with the NS tank, and combined them both.
Sorry for my lame PS skills...

Skip the Teflon thing , it's a scam and shall cause permanent damage to the paint finish . The factory paint is good enough and needs no additional finishing work . Just keep it clean and scratch-free and wax it now and then . Enjoy your new ride .

                      • Those with disc squeeling go and blast the svc to change the plates.... Its not because of dirt... The plates are weak and gets bend... I changed once and the new one worked well for 1 day and this one too is bent now... Its a bloody manufacturing defect... A lot of ns in my svc is getting it changed... Its BENT...weak linkage... Blast the svc and mail bajaj... As someone said the bike gets very unsettled in crosswinds and if u hit a bad patch of road and shakes after 120...highspeed stability is poor... Someone said about clutch adjustment...well my clutch has a hell lot of freeplay..more than half...still butter smooth shifting...you just need to find the right adjustment... Me too had the same problem as urs but now its solved...and adjust the height of the clutch lever and push it upwards...it will feel very odd at first but u'll get used to it in a day...it wont hurt your fingers then...i did the same and clutch feels very light....

Other than the squeeking sound...I remember you had said that one can apply something on discs to check if they are bent. Im not able to recall it...what was it (color, chalk, etc)?

Take a fine bolted pen, and put it on the Side of the disc. Now rotate The disc. The bent portion will not leave any impression.
                              U too having Squeaking sound??
I am Having a Slight One, But That too at verylow speed, At abt 1-5 kmph, while starting off. After that sound is Not heard. Also when the bike is pushed in neutral, the sound is not heard!!!

Well, you can go for it... But it will be just a waste of Money. Will look a little more Shiney at first, but as Pinaki Da said, a proper waxing every now and then will keep the bike In showroom finish condition!

I have done the same with every bike I have had till now. Let me know if you want me to guide you to a dealer.
