Pillion experience, I had to sit on.back as friends always demands, and my heart is always worrying and giving little attacks whenever they go from standstill to motion.
That said, its bad you're teaching biking to your brother on Ns.
Now you had, PLS NOTE HOW HE HANDLES THE POWER @ CURVE CORNERS. not simple corners, that one which are curved. You see bigger bikes aren't a ghost to ride, anyone can do that, main.difficulty is to control that amount of horses, and mostly things go wrong@ curved corners if you aren't experienced with them.even once I was about to bam on a curved corner. Pls especially check that. Else it's like a normal bike when ridden under 4k rpm. That's the dual nature of beast. Calm when the motion is slower and ferocious when things start to actually pump.

lol there is nothing bad in learning on the 200NS. People in the USA consider Ninja 250r a learner's bike, some even start to learn on 600cc supersport.
I myself properly learned to ride on 200NS. I've always been very serious about becoming a better rider, after 1.5 years I've gained enough skill and knowledge and I share the same with my brother. throttle control, Clutch control, keeping the bike in the right powerband for his novice skill level and downshifting the correct way (this is very confusing for him), correct throttle control for turning & counter steering that makes every turn, curvy or not, a piece of cake. precise braking according to situation & alot more.
Problem with learning on 200NS is that the absence of good low end torque makes things very difficult for a novice rider. My elder bro is sometimes lugging the engine badly, then stuck in downshifting part to gain enough torque for moving without stalling the engine. Many would say the bike's kinda heavy & He's also not tall enough and is barely able to touch the ground while seated.. So for him the number of horses aren't an issue really. Plus I'm guiding him as best i can.

1600kms on odo and this new problem has popped up. Rear wheel getting jammed whenever I use rear brake. It happened for the first time while returning from Ooty to Bangalore. Just after I reached the bottom of the hill, the wheel jammed. Had tibwaut for about half an hour for the pad to detach from the wheel. It happened during city ride last weekend. Fortunately, it jammed right when I reached parking area of a mall.

The rear wheel disk noise that had disappeared after first service has also returned

During first service, the mech told me that that fuel cock is faulty and needs replacement but he didn't have stock. I'm yet to get his call.

Can someone please tell me whats the size of the NS main and pilot jets ?
I asked the SVC guys several times and they couldnt help, telling they dont have spares. Unfortunately I am not getting time to open up my bike for this, due to exams.

I saw that page already. Right after that image was posted another member amongst us have claimed that main jet size is 115 and not 107.5 like said in that image.
Thats what led me to a confusion.
I am looking forward to upjet the carb...

I have seen so many disc jams in 200ns and p220 and warped and bent discs.
It will detach as it cools....
                Do one thing
As them to open the rear calliper and remove the disc pads and clips, then ask them to remove the brake pistons of the calliper and lube them from the inside with copper grease then reconnect everything
Replace brake fluids and voila problem solved
Keep this as a regular maintenance job every 5 to 10 k if you live in a very dusty or very rainy place.
                Hope it helps.

                  Also forgot
Please use dot 4 brake fluid and keep all petroleum products such as oil, petrol, Kerosene diesel away from thr discs and pads,
If you have to clean the pads and disc use a scotch brite and some water thas it.

Thanks for the tip but my question is will the mechs even listen to what I say. Guys at Khivraj Indira Nagar are just horrible. Is it possible to DIY?

Front disk is always fine. It is the rear one that gives trouble. Reason?

Ya do as divyansh said, overhauling the rear disk assembly.
I read somewhere that in an emergency situation you can try to mash the rear caliper to free the jammed wheel, not sure if it will work really. but try it if ever stuck again. Never had this problem myself..

Well, I'll need to learn that. Masinagudi isn't a place that I want to get stuck just before it gets dark

Take it to Autoservice and ask them specifically. Service at khevraj or pioneer is simply horrible. Amba is Okay in this regard. But it'll be very far for you.

                              Nonreason as such
                              Can be an assembly isuue
                              It got dirtier or blocked
Or simply the infamous bajaj quality control
Just do the above and you will never face the issue.
I dont know how good you are with mechanicals my brother (please dont take me wrong)
Hece I cannot suggest a diy
                              Imo
Just buy the copper grease or lithium grease (coopper grease would be better) and brake oil and go to a local mech and ask him to do what I said it will be easiest, pretty quick 30 min job if done right
Ask him to bleed the brakes properly and clean each part before installing

                              divyansh....

That sounds easier than taking the bike to Bajaj SC. Will do that. Thanks. And regarding the mech part of it, no mechanic ever assembled an engine on his first day at work ... I am keen to learn and hence that request.
