2 days after all these istallations, one evening, the bike suddenly stalled during a ride just like it ran out of fuel.
I took it to the mechanic and he diagnosed it as the carburetor coming lose from the engine or something..(sorry am not clear with that part). He told that everything was intact once when that box (which contained the stock filter ) was inside and now the carb is coming lose because of its absence. So he made adjustments to make sure the carburetor does not come loose again. He said that the bike stalled like it ran out of petrol because too much air entered once the carb was loose and the mixture got too lean.
NOW, TODAY..(2 days after the above mentioned incident), my NS again stalled in exactly the same fashion. I tries to start but it just kept cranking. I had a small bike repair shop near by and asked them to tighten the carb, thinking it got loose again. but to my surprise the guy told that the carburetor was intact and there must be some other issue with the bike. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY I'M WRITING THIS.
I phoned my previous mech. the guy who did all the installations....he said he would check if the breather hose for the fuel has no blocks and all. He was affirmative that it would only be something like that only.
By the way guys, when I tried starting the bike with CHOKE after about 10 mins, the bike did came to life. That is how I managed to reach home. But It was not a smooth ride and I felt like the engine would stall whenever I went below 2k rpm.
I've not done any upjetting. Might this be the reason ?
or Is it the spark plugs the culprit ? making mis fires ?
or is it something like a block or bend in any wire or outlet or breather like my mechanic said (and which he would check tomorow)
Another concern is that, the mechanic told that my engine head is leaking slighlty.....I dont know what he meant by that but I was thinking about making it right during my next service (after 3000 kms).
Does any one out there have any clue why the bike is stalling like this ?
Hahhaha....that makes us two...nd this is why I mentioned not to go for free flow either intake or exhaust... guys... the air filter stock one has pipes which is connected to engine breather as well.... going below 2 k rpm means u need upjetting....But trust me thats waste ...total waste. I would suggest come back to stock asap.
Btw....that iriduim too made no sence as ns already has bloody 3 PLUGS which already refines n use the oil n fuel mix to its max... few pics of ma iridium which a friend got from indonesia... its a ngk...made in japan...removed this too as vibes inc on high revs....just good for one thing. U will defi feel more sparks/rpm... but no value add for ns...

If you want better low end, try switching to a stock replacement filter. N250's simota stock replacement is nearly a perfect fit in the airbox of NS. Been using it since 10k kms with no problems. Initially it was not fit properly and was pulling in dust but i solved it nevertheless. Stock replacement ones dont need upjetting. Upgrade to a 117.5 main jet for using a conical type.

My NS got serviced last week at Pro Biking showroom Vapi, and due to engine head leaking they changed Head Oil Gasket. For which I paid around 285r. Oil changed to Motul 7100.

Yesterday night I went for some Highway ride around 200kms total and today morning I noticed some engine head leaking right side and there is some oil around right spark plug too. But no dust was accumulated with oil so I think this leaking started after I parked my bike midnight after the long ride. Called that SVC and told this. Asked them to get this solved this time without any payments as my bike is already in warranty. They told me to come on Monday. Just don't know why this leaking started again if they have changed oil gasket.

The head has a cover on top of it which conceals the camshaft-rockers-valvespring mechanism. Its held in place by four bolts on top but its also required to use a liquid sealant like anabond to create a temporary gasket around the perimeter of the head cover. If its given way after long use or not used during reinstallation, head leaks can occur, especially if the engines is revved hard regularly.

            Thank you bro.

But on Monday I am going to resolve this on SVC. Tell me what to ask to them, and if this kind of sealant applied now, will it work?

                • My Bad Luck...

It has been almost 1 year 9 months since i bought my bike 'Phoenix'. I maintained it as well as i could (still looked like a new bike ) Unfortunately some idiotic hooligans decided to spoil my hard work in just 1 day. This is what happened when i parked it outside while shopping. (scratches on top of the pulsar logo, on the tank, and both sides of the rear seat) I couldnt find who did it but i was literally heartbroken when i saw it. When i asked the service guys, they said spray painting can be done but the original colour cant be replicated. So i am thinking of doing some stickering and hopefully i can make it look new again..

I think the people who do this are simply JEALOUS !

I mean there is no point in ruining anyone's property.

Sorry to see it in that state bro,

Now, if its on any metal part first give it a layer of anti rust pain... sand a little and put that anti rust paint(red lead oxide, brown antirust)
A cheap alternative would be to get the bike covered in carbon fiber or some other vinyl
Also if you go to a car workshop and ask them to paint the bike for you,
If you disassemble and giv them the parts they will charge you a maximum of 3000rs to paint the entire bike for you with an awsum finish. Plus you can change colours if you want.

I feel you, bro. It's really sad when people stoop to this level.

Now if it was a personal grudge against you, I wouldn't condone the act, but I would understand. But when some random person does this, it really is sad.

I've learned my lesson and never park my bike in some unattended parking space, rather I park in some mall parking near wherever I have to go. And preferably near the security guys. The parking charge that i have to pay is well worth the relative peace of mind it gives me.

Spray painting can be done, but should be done by someone really good at their trade. Otherwise the finishing won't be very good.

You can try the 3M vinyl wrap. But it might be somewhat expensive.

I would suggest you to replace those fiber parts it would hardly cost 2k for the tank and back panel rather than painting for 3k or soo ... do enquire I think the whole tank costs 1.2k and back would be around 800k .
