Hi, how can I increase the comfort of the seat on my bike? Has any one done something about it?

Being best is not about beating everyone. It's about how much you learn from others and make yourself even better

Hey guys, my bike pulls to the left when I leave the handle. I had this problem since I got the bike. Is any one else facing this problem? Any remedy for the same?

Yes its quite a common issue with 200ns. Two of my friends have it. If you take a close look at the front fork assembly, you'll notice the Y shaped stem just below the coneset area holding the two forks in place. If the Y part of it is asymmetrical then the forks get misaligned, and thus, the wheel. The stem costs within 2k i believe (not quite sure) and the whole front fork set (including the stem) around 5k. First make sure that the fork tube is not bent and then check if the handlebars are okay. If all fine, you can blame the stem. Claim warranty if possible.

When light throttle input is applied and bike is ridden slowly for a few km, it starts stalling below 4k rpm and if revved hard immediately with clutch pulled in, the revs dont go beyond 7k rpm. But if i give 75% to max throttle for a minute or two the bike behaves normal. Highway rides are no problem, since throttle input is near wide open. I changed the spark plugs & fuel filter and checked all the hoses but all that did not help. I havent checked the carburetor yet. Has anyone experienced this before? If yes what's the solution?

I remember someone with the same problem, here in NS or some other thread. Its a carb issue.Diaphagram was faulty or something, I don't remember clearly, but it was definately a carb issue.

Guys need a help with finding the right screw driver.

You know on NS, the grab rails and rear mud guard are fitted with a kind of screw for which i don't have screw driver and not sure what to look for when buying it online. Can somebody tell me what is it called? Tool kit came with the bike doesn't have that tool and i think i should have one so that i can remove these thing whenever i want thus saving time going to the mechanic.

            Thanks. Appreciate your time.

I recently had an overflow issue which was so bad that for 100rs i just ran 26kms, showed it to my mech and he changed the float needle in carb. The reason he stated is that because i ran in very low petrol the impurities might hav damaged the needle. After changing the needle am still experincing a small amount of overflow, and its not always there now, do i have to clean the tank too??? My mech recomended to do so

Hey Guys! I completed 1900kms. I'm facing some minor problems. Please do help me out.

                    1. While accelerating suddenly and when disengaging the clutch after a gear change, I'm getting a "TUK" sound from somewhere near the drive chain. Slackness seems to be normal.

                    2. I changed to motul 5100 at 1700kms and my bike is still not running smooth, Not very harsh though.

                    3. Tips for some good improvement in mileage. Getting 31kmpl after occasional ripping and constant(85% of the time) riding in traffic.

Auto service banashankari 2nd stage, 28th cross, near monotype bus stop. They service superbikes as well.

                          1. Unable to make out the issue clearly.

                          2. Did you make it a point to replace the oil filter? Repeated use of the oil filter will result in a slightly vibey engine.

                          3. For getting good mileage you'll have to be a bit light on the throttle. 31 km/l is too low, even in the city. My bike has a few mods and a bigger mainjet, so mine supposedly consumes a bit more fuel than stock and still scores an average mileage of 40 km/l. Just give sufficient throttle for the kind of speed you want to ride at. For example if you're supposed to ride at 45 km/h, dont slot into 6th gear and give extra throttle. Just shift to 4th, give light throttle, dont vary it too much and let the torque take you ahead. Remember, each time you throttle hard, you're letting the engine take more petrol than it needs with no desirable effect. This kind of throttle control will surely let you achieve anything around 40 kml if done properly.

Note: in case you're planning to upgrade to a *much* bigger bike in future, you'll have to strictly exercise throttle control, not just to achieve good mileage, but to be in one piece by the time you finish your ride and return home.

But suppose you feel your riding style is pretty conservative, then it's a tuning issue. Your bike might be running a wee bit rich. Get the plugs checked by a good mechanic and if he finds a rich indication, ask him to retune the carburetor to the leaner side.

Do CBR 250R or KTM front foot peg fit our bike?

if so let me know if anyone have tried them....

or any other bike which has similar foot peg and will fit our bike...

Imagine Throttle to be like a tap to a bucket(in your case Your NS' fuel tank), The more you open it the the sooner the bucket gets empty, and hence the less mileage you will get.The gentler you are with the tap the longer the bucket takes to get empty.

Tuk sound comes only when the chain has slackness, which should be corrected. Check the slackness once again also check the chain slider.

I am facing the same problem but in my case my bike has done approx 20,000kms and the chain set is gone plus the slider is also worn out now. Time for a replacement!
