Hey Guys,

This is my first post. Im from Bangalore and I bought my pulsar 200 ns (red) just 3 days back. I have been driving bikes since I was 16 and now i'm 31. Trust me, this is the best bike I have ever had. Previously I owned a Hunk and I will speak about my experience on it later.

Here's my experience and I will not talk about technical stuff but my ownership experience thought its just 3 days

I was promised delivery just in 1 day and couldnt wait even for that one day. I had a confusion to choose black or red, but finally have to go for red, since I own a red figo . I got my bike as promised. I just did an over all check and everything looked fine, except the coolant level. I saw that it was lesser than the mid of Max and Min. I called the sales person and he said this is not a problem. I insisted that is double checked, so he took her to the service station and got it confirmed that it was fine. After assurance, I have to agree that nothing will go wrong. The feeling was amazing, it was like giving a candy to a kid :P

After doing a small test ride near to the showroom, everything was alright, I went to the temple for pooja. The engine was very very smooth. Gears were butter smooth as well. Had some heat coming off the engine, probably because it was driven longer for the very first time. After the pooja went back home. I didn't rev since it was the very first day.

My office is around 30 kms away from home, and I kept it below 50 (trust me it is very hard). I didn't find any vibration anywhere. Everything is smooth, the exhaust sounds great with some neat bass. There are 2 concerns which i believe everyone has here.

1. Suspensions are hard
2. The Clutch is hard

Well, Im not complaining however. The drive though was 60 kms everyday, I never felt tired. Believe me it was difficult to ride hunk everyday, and at 65 kmph you will feel that the engine is stressed. I dont know, but I felt that hunk is heavier than pulsar.

I was a bit sceptical to move to pulsar from a honda, but ns made me realize that I made the right choice proving that it is better than hunk anyday. I still couldn't believe that the ns' engine is as smooth as that of honda's. I dont know if it is too early to say this but you dont have to trust me, you ride and you will know what Im talking. How ever I still have to agree that Hunk had a better suspension than ns.

I keep looking at her all the time. The acceleration is just amazing. I have not revved her hard, but I could judge what the bike can do. I just got the pro biker gloves, Im not a big fan of it, but wear it because I have bought it. Im yet to put on the rim decals (red), waiting for the ebay shipping delivered . Will soon post some pics.
Nice that you love the NS. Congrats. About ur two problems. The clutch setting is hard ,it will eventually loosen up a bit and also you will get used to it. Suspension is tough yes because its a new bike but it will loosen after a months use. You might get squeaks from the suspension do not get scared. It comes when the suspension sets in and will go off later. I myself had the two problems as you described. But all that went away. My NS is 2 months old. Any other problems you get, post here or search here. We are all here to help. Enjoy the ride.

Had a "weird" problem first time in 10months of ownership.
Today, started my bike, let it idled and when I tried to give some throttle, the engine just died after 2.5krpm. Tried in neutral, 1st gear, result same, throttle post 2.5krpm and bike *dies.tank was full, knob was right, but bike was dying post 2.5krpm.
Then after 15min of struggling, it agreed to go beyond 2.5krpm , now rpm was going up to 7krpm, WITH A PATAKA LIKE PEOPLE DO WITH BULLET. Happened two-three times, then after little bit of throttle, everything went back to normal and now bike is as usual as ns.
It was ridden 24 hours ago, was fine then, but today experienced this weird thing. Any one has to say something on this. .?

Don't try to fix me, I'm broke so I don't work

That "patakha" sound is called missing. There may be some problem with your engine. Get it checked at svc while in waranty.

Guys im in a big dilemma. I have a budget of 10k. Should I install a full system exhaust from race concepts or should i attempt the saddlesore / bun burner? Im a college student and can choose only one.

I would suggest get a good riding jacket and a good helmet. Safety first. And if you have those 2 things then race Concepts. Post a video of it too :-P

I already have a spartan helios, axo knee & elbow guards and probiker gloves. Gotta upgrade from my normal motocross style helmet to an SOL and also to a DSG primal.

I also have a cylinder head tweak, free flow air filter (stock replacement) and bigger jets, all from race concepts. Even if not a drastic improvement, i find slightly stronger midrange and top end with an added bonus of the best throttle response and idle stability ive seen on a carbed bike.

Oh i feel so special

As the part underneath the plastic is a bit hollow. The only thing you could do is regular tightening of the bolts which holds the front plastic. It does the job. They are allen key bolts. Its been around a month now. No rattling sounds when RPM is high.

See common sense says that the paper you put between the front headlamp cover should be of more width/turns so that it doesn't fall off, I did the same even stressed the front headlamp cover a bit, no harm and it hasn't fallen out once in all these months.

The pathaka sound you are talking about appears when your engine is running lean or the idle rpm is too low and you instantly give the throttle.

is the ffe from race concepts ready??? what's the cost of it?? did you see it personally ??is it too loud??
what i will do in your situation is , i will just go for the ffe and mountain road nearby...
what's the point in doing a saddlesore or bumburner ..we dont have to prove anybody that we are bikers by spending our hard earned money...
yes doing a saddlesore or bumburner pushes our limits ,motivates ,provides confidence..but a time in our life will come where we have to travel long distances purposefully in bikes , we can achieve them in that time..

Yes ive seen the exhaust on other bikes. Its pretty deep. I cant compare the loudness to any other exhaust coz i havent heard any other. It will be ready in a week's time according to Joel

Sometime my bike seems to go left and sometimes right. While braking i need to make very slight direction correction, sometimes it feels very scary. I told svc thrice but nothing improved. I don't know how to explain it to them.

hi guys,

i took my bike to svc and they did some adjustments to the center screw and i won't say that it resolved the problem completely, but around 90% of the wobbling is gone now..haven't ridden the bike much after that..need few more days of riding to know better...

Any freeflow unless designed specifically for your p200ns after testing on a dyno will not be 100% accurate and will only do harm. Burnt valves here you go with flaming exhausts......
If you want good exhaust try to source one from joel, krp, or any other reputed brand....
And knn personally I dont see to many benefits and a whole lot of losses
Your afr will take a toss and you will need upjetting (trial and error)
Imo try to stick to stock.
Performance exhausts will also require upjetting
