    Hmm hmm, Thats new.
BTW, i guess its a new strategy that has been adopted by the companies for further sales volume.
Here in kolkata, the "police bike " were dominated by good old red RE.
however, very recently i have seen checkered apaches with red and blue emergency lights (very much inspired police bikes of US) being used by the police for patrolling.

I just wish that the 200NS are made available to the police at least after the bike is launched all over India

    • You know, the yellow looks much better in pics than it actually is. You perceive it as a much deeper tone of yellow.

But in reality it is bright and light. More like a "dhinchak" kind of yellow.

      Totally IMO. No Offense.[/QUOTE]

Exactly the case, that's why I asked youngwild&free to have a look at the bike for real as I have seen a few yellow older pulsars and their yellow colour was not much appealing, but as they were the traffic police ones maybe there tone is different from the one offered on the NS

dont forget about the rider's weight(a ton maybe ).

I wasn't able to see him go over 8.5k rpm in 6th, he actually started to loose speed, that is the reason I think the straight is a slight incline since there is no logic on loosing speed at full throttle on a levelled road even on a 50cc scooter, but anyways I'm sure the bike goes over it easily as we have seen on the review that they took it up to 149 km/h (though there is no mention under which conditions) and the advertised max speed is 136 km/h.

Bottom line is I wouldn't worry about it, I'm pretty sure with the specs it has I won't be disappointed when I get it which sadly for me is not until mid 2013.

          Cheers.

          • ok here are some more pics of the red and yellow bikes....

the yellow is called 'Mustard yellow' and is not the plain yellow, it has a touch of orange in it i feel.

Its a bit "dhinchak" agreed... but this was the best color for me in the 4 color options available right now.
But again I wanted it to look good both in pics and on road, and so for me yellow was the color...

Woww surojit, super cool pictures bro....

The problem, you reported the bike is drifting to left with no hand in 40km.... is it really there? because in Chintan and RocketJack, in some previous post, they said, they've tested it and bike is going straight and stable..! so.....

Khivraj bajaj at indiranagar charged me 2000/- as the booking amount...
I guess Khivraj is one of the top Bajaj dealers in Bangalore... And for service... Most of them are the same I guess with + or - 10% difference in the quality of service...

                          • Hello guys.

Booked yellow bike today by paying 10K. Other colours are readily available but yellow would take 10 days as said by dealer. Looking at my desperation, he said he will try to get it in 5 days. Lets see.

I also got to ride a 200 NS for a few hundred meters and found bike refined unlike typical pulsar nature. Geabox was refined too. Brakes were exceptional (could try only front). Felt riding posture comfortably sporty. Engine is rev friendly.

                            Some cons.
I felt lack of torque at lower end. Though not totally, I am going to miss the enormous torque ZMA offered me a low end. Saddle height is something to mention here too. Being 5.9" too I found it little higher. This may be because of prolonged use of passion. But while taking a U turn, I had to stop suddenly & so pressed front lever and whoa bike stopped then n there itself catching me off guard. I had to step my right leg in rush throwing all weight resulting in cramp. (EDIT) Also, engine kill switch will kill power to speedo console as well. (/EDIT)

I think yellow makes this bike look outstanding second is black.

Then comes the weird part, dealer almost convinced of booking Duke. I too for a moment got convinced. Though I did not confirm, I have bought some time to think about Duke. I will have to spend almost 36K extra for Duke. Contemplating options I have at hand now. FI, USD forks, better suspension, low weight, more power are pluses & small rear seat are minuses for KTM. Lets see what I am up to in next 3 days.

It often takes a humiliating overtake to understand that an early jump off the red light won't help them lead the pact. All I want to say is - Go after green.
