I chose the yellow Colour Pulsar 200NS. It looks brilliant. But I am still confused, the Karizma that I have now is Yellow. So both my bike will be yellow!!!Originally posted by annydhanya View PostCool... I got the same call from Khivraj indiranagar... Atleast we have an official date now...
Which color did you opt for?

I am not trying to start an argument here. I would go for the Pulsar 200NS over the Duke anytime. The Pulsar 200NS meets my requirements perfectly.Originally posted by sidmclaren View Postreplies in bold
Maybe it is time for you to do the research yourself and make the right choice for your need. I would suggest you to read all the professional reviews of both P200NS and Duke. This would give you the bigger picture!

Riding stance
I think this particular issue has been discussed elucidately here:Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postriding stance more sportier than duke??? I didn't feel it... Infact i felt that the duke's footpegs are tucked behind very aggresively...the ns was a lot more comfortable... Maybe thats because of the way i sit...

Payeng bro, did you book one for yourself? After reading your review I'm almost into it. But I'm waiting for the ownership reviews since there were a few issues reported about Duke. But the nightmare is that, if NS fails then what? I don't see anything else in this segmentOriginally posted by payeng View PostNeed a bike after selling off my P220.. a P200NS in "Mustard Yellow" should do just fine for me
So I'm praying for it be a success.
Love the ride, not the destination

No I have not booked it till now.. but am very much tempted to . I am very impressed (very impressed actually would be an understatement) with the 200NS. Although in terms of top speed ability it might not be a big jump from the current P220, but in terms of the smoothness, refinement, handling sharpness and the ease with which the 200NS does it's job is mindblowing.
My current financial and domestic situation also restricts me from making a big jump from 220 to something big.. the 200NS therefore seems to fit well into my requirements till I am ready for that "Big" leap.
The initial feel of the bike (P200NS) is that of a well made and well put together bike. The quality also seems to be quite good.. a couple of months with more 200NS on the road will make the picture clear on the reliability of the bike.
P.S: Almost nobody gets it right the first time. GS150R, FZ, R15, CBR250R, 200 Duke, Classic 350/500 all had their share of initial small/big issues. For the 200NS, so far so good. Lets hope for the best for it.

First Servicing Done!!
First servicing done..
the SVC man was asking me about what problems I am facing with the bike.. and I was blank!!
he asked me to think and tell.. about half an hour after I said.. no nothing..!! but yes I want Nice Mud guard!
he said they don't have one..
total Rs.678/- with oil change (DTSI 10000 oil) + Oil supplement BAR?? + Oil Filter + rear reflector (it was stolen)
More Smooth.. More FUN!!
Mudguard thing!!
I took Black polythene bag.. (you all know where we get these)
then thickened it with layer of cello tape on both side..
and taped it there..
I know it looks BAD.. but does the work fantabulously!!Last edited by consciyash; 06-28-2012, 12:12 PM.Consciyash

Surojit my bike doesn't drift or either side after taking my hands off the handlebar.
[QUOTE=surojit;832894]Good Morning Fellow Bikers....
Ok so I also own a 200NS...
My previous bike was a CBZ classic (2000 model). It is one of the most solid engines i have ever seen, even after 10 years, it could still do good speeds. But then due to some accidents, I started to show up some problems and I decided to go for a new bike. Now the question was which bike?
Am I a BAJAJ fanboy?
No, I love bikes not brands I guess.
Then why the 200NS?
First reason was that it was within my budget. I wanted to go for the KTM but it was at least 30k more for my puny pocket. So decided to test ride this bike. Thankfully some of the test mule riders also gave me positive feedback and I was able to test ride one.
The moment I started the engine and twisted the throttle I knew I am going for this. I knew it had triple spark and all tech specs, but me being a layman want to feel things between my legs and in my hands, only then does those figures and diagrams on paper make sense to me.
Also I feel, the bike you buy is nevertheless influenced by your riding style i.e. if you are a cornering junkie, a racer, a tourer, a stunter or enfield love. :P
I like to do small rides (which cannot be classified as tours most of the times), and I am not gonna take my bike to the track anytime soon, so I guess the options available to me were itself limited.
So I finally booked one in the KTM showroom in Pune. (later came to know that the bike will be handled by normal bajaj dealers not the KTM showrooms).
The Formalities:
I paid for the bike on 13th and on 14th I got a call that I can take my bike, but unfortunately I was in Delhi for some work at that time and could collect the bike only on 18th June. So all said and done I was ready to take the bike for a small commute. But a friend of mine who had got his 200NS on 14th had some issues with the bike. So I also waited patiently with him till the svc guys handled his bike. Eventually I gave up and decided to start my 1st Km on my 200NS.
The ownership experience:Things I feel can be improved:
1. The bike drifts towards the left at low speeds (30-40 kmph) when you release both the hands from the handlebars. (tested 3 production bikes- all do the same)
2. They could have left smaller gaps between the seats and the panels
3. The indicator switch could have been shifted a bit towards the left. I need to stretch my left thumb to reach for it when i need to turn the left indicator.
4. Training the svc guys.. :P

Short bursts of acceleration and deacceleration is good for a new engine as it helps in the running in process. In fact riding at slow speeds at high gear might not be good for a new engine.Originally posted by consciyash View Postshould I?? or should I wait for RUN IN period!!
Just be careful not to "redline" the engine and "do not to ride at a constant rpm for too long".
