    1 question,

has any P200 owner paid anything EXTRA for Yellow color?
(in Delhi they demand 5K more, till date ) is there a valid reason behind it, like shortage of Yellow units (or more demand) ?
    any clarification/suggestions?

BTW got a call from Sai Services Pune asking that if all the issues were sorted out in the 1st servicing, I said No, and then they are like, sir please get your bike when you have time, we will sort out the issues.
Felt good that atleast they called up to confirm if the servicing properly done or not.
These guys always call up approx 1 week after the service to check if everything is in order. You will also get service reminders time to time if next service is due w.r.t. time.

Call up the Toll Free on 1800 233 2453 and make a complaint about the dealer who asked you for this extra 5k.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

            Hello Moderator chiti dan,
            Thanks for your reply,
But i guess 200NS owners dont need that call in bold because its already displayed on the console with the service reminder icon.

Still they will call and tell you to come to their SVC. Its no use to them if you go to some other SVC for service (loss of business and stuff).

Firstly, replacing the rear tyre with a lower profile tyre like the one on Yamaha FZS i.e 140/60. It will reduce the seat height by quite a few millimetres, the 140/60 should fit without the need for any major modification and I think, though not sure, that there is enough space at the tyre hugger to accommodate the fatter tyre.

BTW Duke's rear tyre would be great at the rear but I don't know how it can be accommodated. Seniors will be able to throw some light in this regard.

Secondly, MG suggested that a few mm can be chopped off from the seat as well to lower it, if he says so its definitely possible, he doesn't speak on the basis of assumptions and has ridden the NS much more than any of us.

Thirdly, a pair of shoes, yup you read it right - shoes, which have a thick sole not only at the heel but also at the front end below the tow and fingers as you'll be managing your bike on them.

Fourthly, learn to manage the bike with one foot on the ground and the other one on the foot peg. Payeng has posted a few images few pages back where he has brilliantly shown how that is to be done, you need to learn to transfer your weight quickly to the side towards which you'll be grounding your feet.

I'm 5'7'' and I wear absolutely flat shoes and have no problems in managing my NS. It's a gem of a bike and nothing should stop anyone from owning one.

I hope you find some help in the above points and get your NS soon
Thanks for the inputs buddy. Once the vehicle is available in hyderabad showrooms i can verify how much benifit i can squeeze from the above suggestions. Will remember these suggestions.

                    • @surojit : console will only for First 3 service as told to me by the dealer. After getting 3rd Free service we need to fix the service interval.

                      You so well know me..

Dealers charge ON due to higher demand for YELLOW. As suggested by ANTZ.BIN you should complain about the dealer to bajaj guys.

                          • If you have not taken any Claim from your insurance company they offer NO CLAIM Discount on the premium that you pay. I did not take any claim on my previous bike for the past 10years so NO CLAIM DISCOUNT was 50%. While buying P200NS i got NO CLAIM CERTIFICATE from my INSURANCE COMPANY stating in the past 10years I have not made any claims and i am eligible for NO CLAIM BONUS of 50% which i claimed for my new bike.

Following are the norms for claiming NO CLAIM DISCOUNT :

                            1) You need to sell the old bike or get it transfered to other persons name and it should be reflected in the RC Book.

                            2) NEW bike which you buy should be in the same name as you old bike.

                            3) You need to buy a new bike within 6months from the date of NO CLAIM CERTIFICATE.

The same discount is also available for cars.

Yesterday had a punture in the rear tyre, and the cut was so bad that it couldnt get fixed, and the punture guys suggested me to get it patched from inside and put a TUBE in it.
Today morning checked it again, it seemed ok, but now I am not very confident on the tyres.
If this happens in on of my rides then what do I do?
So are you planning on changing the rear tyre?
My friend's Fazer had similar problem... 3 punctures in the first month... and had to change the tyre... It is just bad luck...
