Because i want to buy NS and i want to justify my purchase.Originally posted by ASSASSIN07 View PostSo guys I have a question. Why is it that 200 NS should give more mileage than duke 200? With the same Engine base, same cubic capacity and engine running at same rpm, why is it that everyone claims the Pulsar 200 NS would give better mileage?
Infact, Duke is FI which is better for those concerned with mileage & its lighter as well.
So can someone throw light on this issue?
I hope you got my point.I am loving my NS

I dont want to ruin anyone purchase plans here. Its just that I am not able to put the "socially acceptable statements" on this thread down my throat. I am not favoring any bike here but trying to dig into the reasons for the claims

today finally my dad agreed to get me duke .. i showed him duke ownership thread and he has agreed after seeing people posting mileage figures of 35+kmpl .. i am allowed to buy it on july 21 .. i will make full payment that day and i will get the bike in 5 days after payment .. i have currently booked 200ns at popular bajaj . i had paid just 1k for booking .. will i get back that amount ?
my dad's first reaction after seeing duke --
dad - is this the new ktm racing machine ?
me - yes
dad - why did you ask for ns ? .. how much is this ?
me - it costs about 40k more than ns ...
dad - go for it .. will suit you better ...only if mileage is 35+kmpl

Ok. I would agree here that the FI system wont enhance the FE by any sizable amount. But I am waiting for facts as to why Duke should give lesser FEOriginally posted by Rashid View Post

went through 75pages of duke ownership thread .. most of the dukers are getting around 40kmpl , few of them are getting 35-40kmpl , one duker got 60.59 kmpl .. all mentioned figures were recorded by tankfull to tankfull method ..Originally posted by ASSASSIN07 View PostOk. Congrats that you are finally buying DukeOriginally posted by Rohan200ns View Postwent through 75pages of duke ownership thread .. most of the dukers are getting around 40kmpl , few of them are getting 35-40kmpl , one duker got 60.59 kmpl .. all mentioned figures were recorded by tankfull to tankfull method ..
But why are you everytime posting about the Duke in the P200NS thread.
It has more or less become a What Bike section-P200NS vs Duke.Mod, i feel you should check all the previous pages and as this post of mine is OT,you can delete it.

May be because NS has got 3 plugs. They help more gas(air-fuel mixture) to burn than just a single plug can. In single plug engine amount of gas wasted (not burned) is more. So NS' got more efficient the engine. And that efficiency is tuned into more FE. These are my personal logical assumptionsOriginally posted by ASSASSIN07 View PostOk. . I might be wrong.
