if i decide to change my P200NS tyres to Pirelli Sports Demon, are there any dealers in pune who will give me discount on them in exchange of my new NS tyres? I am thinking to get them exchanged as soon as i get delivery of my bike.

If yes, please share the details of the dealers and also price of Pirelli Sports Demon(front and rear) and how much discount can i expect in exchange of these Eurogrip tyres?
Why no one is answering my queries? Isn't this forum to help bikers in doubts? For my earlier post also i dint get any reply.

Anyways today i enquired with few tyre dealers at Pune. Most of them don't have stock of Pirelli Sports Demon ( due to some ISI mark issue, import is stopped in India it seems) and the one which have old stocks is asking for 3800/- for rear and 2800/- for front..... also they are giving me very less discount for brand new NS tyres which is 1500/- for rear and 1000/- for front..
Can somebody confirm the prices for Pirelli SD???

Did it occur to you that maybe you asked the question at the wrong place?

Just FYI, there is a dedicated thread for all Tyres related queries here:

Try asking there, you may get better replies there.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The only issue being that all P200NSs are very very new right now and not many owners would be thinking about changing tyres straight out of the showroom. The other benefit of asking about PSDs on the Tyres thread is that this tire is used by owners of other bikes (like P220 / Ninja 250R) too which in total are in much higher no.s on the road and on the forum as compared to P200NSs. So statistically speaking, your query has a better chance of being answered on the other thread. Or maybe it already has been answered when you were busy arguing and not looking/searching.

@Others: I met Surojit just over an hour back, he is already in the high 1400s on the odo. Run-in completion is just a couple of days away now.

I don't own any of these bikes but if you go through the ownership threads of both NS and Duke it is safe to say that the mileage is more or less the same.
You will easily get 30-35 from duke.
              I am loving my NS

Your point is also correct and even mine logic was also correct. And i have already seen that Suro had replied to my query but that wasn't sufficient enough for me. And I wasn't arguing,i just gave my clarification.

why pirelli sports demon and why not the r15 v2 rear rear tyre and the fz front tyre... Those are stock sizes, extreamely grippy and quite cheap too... Moreover the v2 is a radial one...

You are paying 35K for the bold and underlined part mate rather than the tech under the seat. That's the Duke 200. It has a short stroke, short gearing which can quench your thirst for insane, neck snapping acceleration. P200NS comes in the category of R15 and Ninja 250R. Simple, linear delivery with no "high on testosterone" thingy. It is a simple and humble beast.

1 - while test riding duke , i felt that it accelerates faster than p220, cbr250 ..so where does ns stand here ? i am from bangalore and havent had the chance to experience ns yet.. i want neck snapping thrust and scary insane acceleration sililar to duke .. does ns provide that ?
2 - as i am a student and will use my bike only for city rides , i will have to get 35kmpl . .
3 - now ns owners please tell me the mileage figures you are able to extract during sane riding conditions in city ..
                        please guys help me ..
Both NS and Duke can give you 35+ mileage under sane riding. But since your demands are neck snapping thrust, you will be very naughty with the right wrist, but even then both will/should give you 35 KMPL. You need to feel comfortable with the baike mate. If you feel money is not the hinderance then D200 can be your next gal-friend.
Else, with the much evolved P200NS, you won't be feeling any major difference and feel underrated. Yup, the acceleration should be the only major difference I feel. Haven't ridden them, but just applying my concepts here.

@MG, @Payeng and @Antz.Bin can give you more insight on this, if you are specifically looking for indepth analysis. Else my answers should have made things a bit easy I guess.

OT : All three above posses or have had extensive ride on P220. So you can very well take their advise as Lakshman Rekha.
                        Regards,

Guys, congratulations to all who are interested in this thread; especially to the owners of 200NS.
Its still not been a month since the bike was released, and the thread has crossed 100 pages.
The interest and affection about the bike is CRAZY; and bajaj has played a big part by NOT releasing the bike PAN India.

A special thanks to @chintan; @suro; and the likes, for their constant update about heir experience, and solving our queries.

Road Tax will be charged by the RTO of the state in which you are getting your bike registered.

Eg. If you purchase your bike in Delhi and get it registered in Lucknow then you will not have to pay road tax in Delhi but instead pay the prevailing road tax of Lucknow in Lucknow RTO . The road tax of Delhi will be deducted from your purchase price.

                              • Yes, they said that their first lot of yellow 200 NS has been sold and the next lot is already on it's way from Pune. Will be available in 3-4 days.

As for the pricing, the on road price in Delhi and at Dewan is Rs. 95600/-. Some other dealers are quoting 96000/- but I guess it is just an attempt to cash in on the popularity of this much anticipated product.
