Duke should give you 35+ kmpl. My friend who has DUKE gets between 35-40kmpl depending on how he rides it. He is happy with his DUKE and loved my PULSAR also.

no bro it has got anything with me living in 2000's. Recently yamaha also added the feature of kick start in their FZ and Fazer, because the batteries were not good enough in long run period.Originally posted by Newrider88 View PostYou must be living in 2000. Wake up dude, this is 2012, pulsar 180,220, r15, cbr 150,250,duke.....almost every bike comes with only electric start these days.Once i had avenger, i used to left it parked for 15-20 days and sometimes even more but electric start never gave up.
Even I realize that modern bikes only come with option of electric start, but the problems faced because of no kick start option cannot be neglected.

Pulsar 220 has been coming without a kick starter for the last 5 years now. and AFAIK, none of the owners have an issue with it. Yamahas had to add the kick starters because they were using a 5Ah battery (3.5Ah on R15). By comparison, Pulsars have been using a 9Ah battery for ages now. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out the enormous difference in capacities.Originally posted by iamshubham View Postno bro it has got anything with me living in 2000's. Anyways, if there is a problem with the battery, the low battery icon lights up without fail, well in advance, for you to rectify the issue(recharge/top-up battery) / replace the battery.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Have been riding an FZ the 2010 model without kickstart for the last 2 years, over 22,000 kms on the ODO without any problems and with the engine cranking up at first goOriginally posted by iamshubham View Postno bro it has got anything with me living in 2000's. . I believe it is a misconceived notion. As long as very basic maintenance is taken care of like battery water top up at periodic intervals and cleaning up of terminals.. based on personal experience, i don't think any electric start ride should give any problem.
Since, its inception, Pulsars have improved a lot over the years and so has the technology and reliability. Don't worry and have faith on the 200NS.. it is really good!

AFAIK, You have to get your vehicle registered in the same state where you have purchased it.Originally posted by Newrider88 View PostDo anyone have the information that how much road tax will be charged if vehicle is purchased from one state and registered in another ?
Last year I wanted to buy Bullet Classic 350 which had 1 year waiting in pune but was readily available in Punjab. Had similar plans of getting it directly registered in Pune. But the dealers refused to deliver without registration.Hero Honda Karizma

NS does not provide neck jerking acceleration, it has smooth power delivery till redline. judging from your posts it seems to me that you are more interested in that scary DUKISH feel.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View Postlook guys , my main confusion ...

In my opinion you should go for duke.
