In terms of character there is absolutely no similarity between the 200 Duke and the 200NS.

The 200 Duke is an out and out City Street Scorcher. But it's maniac character also limits its crusing ability. Over 100 kmph the 200 Duke doesn't feel relaxed and is not as refined as the 200NS.

Surprisingly the 200NS is way smoother than the 200Duke after crossing 7000 rpm. The 200NS is a more versatile bike, it is good as a city bike, can cruise comfortably till its redline and surprisingly is a better handler than the 200 Duke..!!

Having said that the 200NS can't beat the 200 Duke in sheer performance.

nice comparo. have'nt ridden 200 ns but was kind of expecting it.

one point I need clarification is 200ns is better handler than duke. did you find duke to be lacking in any deppt like hard suspension or seat?
cause when I test rode it, it was confidence inspiring at all speeds. again it was a short ride but made a lasting impression. I also did not found it lacking as tires were grippy, suspension was rock solid, was very light and flickable.

No bro, it wouldn't be moree than 1 lakh, considering 85k is the ex-showroom.
How you could you expect more than 15k for the tax and insurance and RTO xO
I insisted to the lady on phone what if it's above 1 lakh and she told that i was declared by Mr. Rajiv that it would be less than 1lakh bike hence it would be around 99-99.8 or something xP

I dont how is the handling of 200ns.. but duke's handling is greattt.. in handling its next to R15.. i dont know whether the comparison of duke and 200ns is valid.. but i cant believe that p200ns is better than duke..

The problem, you reported the bike is drifting to left with no hand in 40km.... is it really there? because in Chintan and RocketJack, in some previous post, they said, they've tested it and bike is going straight and stable..! so.....
I have ridden 2 bikes and have faced the issue.
But the drifting is very very negligible, hence you wouldn't even notice it and most of the times you will try to counter balance it unconsciously.
It doesnt hinder the ride quality in any way whatsoever. You feel it only when you are riding at 30-40 kmph without pillion.
Having a pillion also changes the dynamics and makes the bike move in straight line... i dont know how that happens, but I have observed it.

The yellow of Karizma and P200NS are different, so atleast you wont have identical colored bikes...

                        Some more issues/niggles/problems/whatever-u-may-call:

This issues might be very very subjective and i know they can be sorted out by a the co-operation of the svc guys.

                        1. There are two weird noises coming form the front part of the bike
                        a. One due to some resonance created by the handle lock due to its proximity to the chassis as told to me by some friend of mine
                        b. Other one is from the small black part of the fairing, which I suppose is not fitted properly

                        2. The rear disc brakes makes some noise (in my friends 200NS) which is due to the piston again as told to me by some friend of mine

Mine does and I have tested it on some other bikes also but its not a big issue

Has anyone changed as yet? Please share...
I dont know if its the tyre or my bad luck...
Yesterday had a punture in the rear tyre, and the cut was so bad that it couldnt get fixed, and the punture guys suggested me to get it patched from inside and put a TUBE in it.
Today morning checked it again, it seemed ok, but now I am not very confident on the tyres.
If this happens in on of my rides then what do I do?

In my 11.5km experience till date I had only one puncture and that too a normal one. Yesterday's event was unfortunate and it doesn't happen often. Sadly the tyres are not covered under warranty

                            11.5 km?
its fine if its covered or not, I already spoke to the eurogrip guys and they said that they will get back to me. I am confused: was it just bad luck or the quality of the tryes may also have a role to play in it?

                              I mean 11.5k

There is a possibility that your particular piece from Eurogrip is a bad piece or maybe the thing with which it got cut was really very sharp. You can escalate the same issue with SVC they can also take it to the Eurogrip guys

                                I will do that...

BTW got a call from Sai Services Pune asking that if all the issues were sorted out in the 1st servicing, I said No, and then they are like, sir please get your bike when you have time, we will sort out the issues.
Felt good that atleast they called up to confirm if the servicing properly done or not.
