You'd find a phenomenal change in cornering and handling with a sticky front tyre and good improvement in traction and as a contributing factor to handling with a sticky rear.

Hey guys!
I'm facing some serious problems with my bike.
The gear gets jammed regularly, it doesn't shift from 4'th to 3'rd most of the times (6 out of 10 times), I've to shift up to 5'th and come down from there.
This was happening since the first day, though it wasn't nearly as frequent as it is now.
After the first service, it started getting jammed in 6'th gear as well. I've ridden around 700 kms since 1'st service and this has happened twice.
When it gets jammed in 6'th it's really difficult to get it moving again.
I've complained about this more times than I can remember but the service sucks. The last time ( 4 days back) i got it checked the SVC mechanic apparently changed the clutch gasket cover, but the problem still exists(no improvement whatsoever).
Has anyone else faced this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
ODO reading = 1400
No mods
Service center visited = RV bajaj main showroom (Mysore road, Bangalore)
Don't know if this is relevant,
I did follow the run-in procedure till 1000 kms (did not push it past 60 except for a couple of occasions where I took it up to 80), after 1000, I've tried to maintain the speed under 85 (I've taken it past 110 twice though
). For the most part I ride under 60.
I'll be taking it to Khivraj motors (Kasturba road) this weekend.

hi guys,
Need a little help.
For the last 2 3 days i have been getting a little buzz sound when i push the throttle.
when I push it further, the buzz gets stronger and stronger.
Any ideas anyone...?
as far as i am able to coprehend, it seems to be coming from the front console.

Close to 5k kms on odo. No problems till now. Will put a review/opinion soon so that new potential buyers can get an idea. Although I am happy with the bike. I have some querry.
After riding for even 10 kms when I stop the rpm needle hovers above 2.2k rpm and after a few seconds it comes back to below 1700~1800 rpm. Previously it used to happen only in heavy traffic. Now it happens very frequently. It happens everytime I ride with a pillion.
My engine oil (dtsi-10000) is 2k kms old, could it be the reason or am I running a bit lean? Or is it normal.

I am using Michelin pilot sporty in front and Michelin pilot street for back 130/70/17 stock size thou its an radial it's a little heavy, done 2k kms on it and it performs like a breeze on wet dry and mud terrains, it doesn't lock up at all, its requires alot of effort to lock them, grippy as hell and corners are a piece of cake! Just floats in corners and there's not a moment you feel you lossing grip, I am yet to know the life span of it but 2 people I know used it for 28k kms so 20k wouldn't be bad. I can vouch for it being the best alternative to stock. Fyi I haven't tried att 230r and don't trust tvs products at all! I ran the stock tyres for 22k kms and after that switched to TVS ATT 230 130-70/17.
The grip is superb on dry grip. Don't know about wet.
Cost me 2.7k inc fitting.
Will post a pic soon.

A Noob question, how can a tyre affect whether the wheel gets locked or not? Just to explain the concept let me take an example. You have with you an eraser and a freshly bitten & used chewing gum. I dont have to explain which is softer. Try to drag each material on a piece of wood. The chewing gum adamantly sticks to the piece of wood while you can keep dragging the eraser. I am also looking for a replacement as rear tyre skids whenever i apply rear brake. What is the cost for this setup ?
