  • Rocketjack MH-03 (vikhroli to be precise) is where I live too. I hope to see you and you bike on the road soon.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Thats news to me. Alas, i think naked bikes looks sexy when standed on side stand, and handle turned on right side..Also doing that makes the bike lean to a lesser degree on the left(there by less chances of scratches).

Do not let the engine idle longer than 3 minutes otherwise it will overheat.
Overheat in idle within 3 minutes!! and that too in a liquid cool machine!!
R15 guys please tell whether its the same in your machine as well!

Warranty on battery is 18 months from the date of purchase of vehicle
Thats amaron for you. I installed one in my car almost 5-6years ago, and its still running fine, no maintenance at all.

Do not add extra electrical accessories such as - remote, bigger horn, musical brake light, etc. This will reduce battery life. Dealer told me that by fitting any of these accessories warranty would be void. In the warranty section it is also mentioned that fitting such accessories will cause warranty to void.
Since my earlier bike got stolen, this time i would like to add some extra security. Since remote alarm will void the security, can anyone please suggest any other means of security. One of my friend suggested a disc Lock, but i have no idea how it operates or how much does it cost.
Any suggestion on this will be very much appreciated.

Chintan99 now another main question, which i forgot to ask earlier..
      are there SELF-CANCELLING Indicators??

        Head lamp : H4, 55/60W

STEERLING LOCK CAN BE DONE ON LEFT HANDLE POSITION ONLY

Reserve/engine rev indicator : it glows continuously when petrol level in tank reaches reserve level. It also blinks when engine RPM crosses 10K rpm mark.

Do not let the engine idle longer than 3 minutes otherwise it will overheat.

Remove puncture by Filler or Plug method only. Do not use patch method to remove puncture of tubeless tyre.

        Spark plug (2 nos) : RG-6HCC (LH 'A' + RH 'B'),
        (1no) : BOSCH - VR5NE (Centre 'C')

The vehicle is warranted for 2years or 30000kms whichever occur earlier from date of sale as per terms and conditions

Proprietory parts like tyres, tubes, battery and spark plugs are warranted by their repsective manufacturers (Only one year warranty from the date of purchase/as applicable) and should be claimed on them direclty by the customer.

        1st free service - 500-700kms or 30-45 days.
        2nd free service - 4500-5000kms or 240 days.
        3rd free service - 9500-10000kms or 240 days
Damn, for a breif period of time until now i thought that was shift indicator. Would have been a nice feature. I mean are you sure it indicates only if the rpm hits the redline ?

And engine overheating just after 3 min idleing ? Is all LC engines like this ? Its seems a bit too less itme for heating up doesn't it ? Engine just gets warmed up in 2 min ideling right ?

And bro, the service intervals of the Bajaj guys are a joke, the earlier batched of bajaj vehicles had service interbval of 2500 kms and now they have stretched it a another 2000kms, its pointless actually, people atleast make sure you get hte oil change at regular intervals and the filter cleanings too..!

Disc lock is the answer, its a lock which is fitted into the cooling holes on the disk and thus the wheel cannot be rotated or the bike moved.
If any attempts are made it sound the alarm, it has its own battery (button cell) so doesnt affect our bike's battery, there are many model available in the market, but the size must be chacked, buting a one with bigger rod wont fit into the holes of the disc, so please do proper checking before getting that done.

P.S : Its the best security option, but do always remember to remove it before riding your vehicles, since its most easy to forget you had such a thing attached to your disks..!

Not sure about the price of models bro, i have read it in some threads, suggestions given by users, use the search option in the KTM thread, i think they have discussed it there, have a faint memory of them discussing about it.

                      • I beg of both Chintan and rocketjack to record a couple videos highlighting the features of the bike we haven't seen on other videos like the ease of acces of the choke lever from the sitting position, the spread range of both the low and high beam, how easily the bike starts when cold using the choke but without touching throttle.

Please, do record it and upload it to YouTube.

Since my earlier bike got stolen, this time i would like to add some extra security. Since remote alarm will void the security, can anyone please suggest any other means of security. One of my friend suggested a disc Lock, but i have no idea how it operates or how much does it cost.*
Any suggestion on this will be very much appreciated.

Chintan99 now another main question, which i forgot to ask earlier..
                        are there *SELF-CANCELLING Indicators??
I would also like to know If the turning signals are self cancelling as in the P220.

And about the engine overheating after 3 minutes here is my take on it:

A mechanic in which I completely trust told me some time ago that Bajaj says such things more as a warning an that it doesn't apply when you first start your bike in the morning, in fact if you haven't ridden your bike for a couple weeks you should let it warm up at idle for at least 5 minutes and ideally for 10 minutes before you ride it again since during the time the bike wasn't used the residues of gasoline (which is a powerful solvent) in the cylinder break down the oil in its walls and the rest of the engine oil is well down in the carter so it needs to flow for a while before using the engine at its fullest. He also told me that the chance of overheating the engine while idling for longer than 3 minutes applies only when you have ridden your bike for let's say 1 hour in city traffic on a hot day and you stop at every stop light for longer than 3 minutes and even then it is just a chance and NOT a fact that the engine will overheat. By the way, he said that about my P220 which is air/oil cooled so the chance of it happening on a liquid cooled bike which also has fans to dissipate the heat are almost Inexistent.

I apologise for extending myself way too much but I also hope it brings peace to your minds and stop worrying about your beloved machines overheating that easy.

                        Cheers.

Service interval of 5000 Kms..!! Cool, that's same the service interval period of my Car.

It means only about 2 visits to the service center for service (provided the bike is trouble free during the 5000 kms, which I hope will be..).

According to me, Idling for around 2-3 minutes is more than ok.

Your safest bet would be Motorcycle security: XX6 disc-lock alarm for motorcycles, scooters & ATVs. Costs 70$.
There are local disc locks too. Those are very cheap, cannot give any insights on those though.

The back seat is comfortable. Seats are almost like the duke, may be little softer than the duke.

No one on my bike has sat single sided so i cant answer your 1st question bro.

                                I can use 2 trips. I get options as follows: 1) ODO 2)Trip 1 & 3) Trip 2

Its a single horn like the platina. And clear instructions from the dealer that any change in electric fittings would terminate my warranty

It has been just few days so i am not aware when would one need to change liquid of liquid cooled engine

It comes with 2 yr or 30000 kms whichever occur earlier from the date of sale . It comes with 3 Free Services
@Chintan: Thanks for taking time to answer my questions and for providing the information about the bike

Seat being softer is fine but the dimensions of the seat are the same as the duke??

Oh and do let us all know if it does have self-cancelling indicators.

                                thanks in advance.
