Re: Need help....
Though i'm not an expert, what i sense is the problem must be associated with carb. Check the jet slide, main jet and check the accelerator cable also.Hope this solves the problemOriginally posted by Speedshift View PostGuys need your help.....
Was driving on an open road today around 105 in 5th gear but as soon as I shifted to 6th gear the rpm started decreasing and the bike started slowing down at around and stabilized at around 85kmph refusing to go higher. Checked everything... oil, coolant, fuel everything was fine, again tried accelerating and the result was same.
What can be the issue?
Also from past few weeks bike sort of halts at 7k rpm for a second or two and then suddenly increases from thereon to the redline.

Re: Need help....
From my experience with my old P150 I say that its an issue with the carburettor only. Problem with proper mixing of air and fuel. You just need it to be adjusted by a mech.Originally posted by Speedshift View PostGuys need your help.....

Try to get the same done by a trained or an experienced mech...

Re: Need help....
I guess the gaskets are worn out.. Tightening it wont fix the problem, it will worsen it. Ask the svc to remove the cover and change the gasket. That would fix the problem i guess. Nothing to worry. They would have removed the cover during service and may not have replaced the gasket which causes leak.Originally posted by deep007 View Postguys i have notice a leak near the seal on the left side of the engine is this a big issue or not and tell me what can do ....i visited the service center they are just tightened the nut bolt but after 2 days it starts again what could be the reason behind it...Its better to sweat than bleed!! No... They must have removed the cover for something else or the gasket may have worn out on its own.. Anything could have happened.Originally posted by deep007 View Postis the cover need to replace while servicing because i don't' have knowledge about this thing. Its better to sweat than bleed!! Any one with the solution because I think my AFR is perfect.Being best is not about beating everyone. It's about how much you learn from others and make yourself even better

Re: Need help....
All you guys facing this issue - This is caused by a faulty carburetor diaphragm (a rubber membrane). This happened to me too!Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostDude the same problem has been troubling me for weeks.

Also if there's anyone from Bangalore please visit this garage: http://www.facebook.com/NMWPerformance. Excellent service and
performance parts available too!
P.S. - The diaphragm is available at any Bajaj SVC and costs below 200 bucks.A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
At SVC today, they checked the bike and that problem and also completed 3rd free service. They applied some white solution to prevent leakage but still it was leaking. So again told them to rectify this and they told me to take delivery of the bike tomorrow. Oil filter cap was not changed. Don't know if they have changed the oil gasket. Didn't ask. Will go again tomorrow.Originally posted by Himanshu Patel View Postguys need help..
today morning I just checked my NS and found that engine oil is leaking from the oil filter.
yesterday a big stone around 3 inch size was threw by front tire onto the engine while riding on a road full of potholes. I can see a small scratch or crack on Oil Filter cap.
Now worried about repair and warranty and as today is Sunday, I have to wait for Monday to get it repaired at SVC.

Re: Need help....
So shall I continue using my bike till next service? Also, in general how serious is this issue to bikes & what's is the cause of the same?Originally posted by neoakshay View PostAll you guys facing this issue - This is caused by a faulty carburetor diaphragm (a rubber membrane). Last q , I remember one of the riders reported same problem long back. He told carb overhaul was the solution. What's exactly is that & can I go for that?

Yes you can continue using your bike till next service, nothing further will go wrong/get damaged. This issue is caused due to a rubber membrane
inside the carb that moves up and down to create vacuum for the carb to deliver fuel. Over time / due to a low quality membrane, the diaphragm gets
stretched and hence does not function properly. Hence the lag in power.
I'm one of the first riders to face this issue and then get it rectified. Happened in November last year, and I struggled with the issue for 2 months till
I figured out what was wrong.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
A big big relief
I think I will get the service done a bit early this time, to get rid of this issue. Thanks a lot.
