An update on rwducing vibrations - after much effort i figured that if i pulled out the small front cover above the headlights and stuff it completely from the inside with some cloth (stuffing has to be complete), my annoying vibration sound has gone almost completely.
Funny how this small cover resonates between 4-5 k rpms

Hope there is no metal parts in that location where u stuff cloth. As in rain the water may be held in cloth and rusting take place.

NS was the only choice to buy since I had to pay full amount. Didnt get loan because my family haven't paid any Land tax for the past few years. Now I know the value of paying Tax P.S I didnt like NS when I test drove. Now I know the reason, because the tyres were under inflated.. After the right tyre pressure, the bike became much better
oh ghosh land tax i must check mine lol..like 220 makes some engine noise after an hour of riding .how does ns sound ..buddy how does ns feels on redling as its a soch setup compared to duke dohc setup

hi...i have black pulsar 200ns i have covered around 1500km on it till date and i am very surprised by it's fuel efficiency. in the first 500km and speed under 49kmph and changing all gears under 3800rpm it gives me mileage of 50kmp/l.while purchasing company people claiming mileage in the region of (35-40kmp/l) i am really happy because i am think that if i will get more that 35kmp/l in sense manner it should be good.
it's real performance starts after crossing 7000rpm...it and u normally don't know that u r doing such a high speed within few seconds.it tends to vibrate very little within 4-5rpm and produce some noise from the exhaust and i love the exhaust but after 5000rpm...there is no vibration feel and sound become quite and it starts after 110kmph speed and u r not feel that u r doing a such high speed it is so planted at such speed still 120 kmph speed but after crossing 120kmph speed it is not planted well on the road (my weight is just 58kg and i am 6' foot tall)there is no stress on the engine even near the reline.this is 80% duke engine with some little reduction in performance but it will beat the duke 200 on the highway because duke 200 top speed is restricted to 136-138kmphbut but pulsar 200ns going and going.i think in India 120kmph speed is more than sufficient due the condition of the roads and the traffic even on the highway except 4 line highway.u can cruse even at 115kmph speed on pulsar 200ns with out stressing the engine..and without facing the wind blast..
i have the same thinking like which bike to choose from the duke 200 or pulsar 200ns ...but i purchase pulsar 200ns due to some reasons that are listed below and i think we r not one who thinking to purchase bike in between the two master piece.
1.the duke will cost u rs 50000 more.(I AM THINKING THAT U CAN BUY ANOTHER 100CC BIKE WITH THIS EXTRA AMOUNT)
2.DUKE WILL PROVIDE U GOOD PICK-UP IN ALL SPEED BUT REMEMBER 200NS NOT FAR BEHIND THE DUKE.
3.DUKE WILL OUTPERFORM THE 200NS IN TRAFFIC BUT 200NS WILL OUTPERFORM THE DUKE ON THE HIGHWAY IN TOP SPEED.
4.U WILL GET CHEAP PARTS AS COMPARED TO DUKE .
AND FINALLY I THINK THAT THERE IS NOT A BIG PERFORMANCE GAP BETWEEN THE TWO SO WHY U R SPENDING RS50000 TO BUY A PRODUCT THAT GIVE U A LITTLE BIT MORE PERFORMANCE .
WAITING SOME RESPONSE FROM THE OWNERS WHAT THEY THINK REGARDING THIS ISSUE

If you've money buy duke, no match for that ,if you don't have money ,buy ns. .
Or if you're like me who liked ns looks more than duke(not from rear) and believed that it won't be much of a difference ( my point of view based on day to day life) go for ns .
And for mileage part ,if you're getting more it's good ,but if you think placing ns above duke just because you will be getting more km per litre ,then my friend save the drama and buy a splendor.
The way I ride my ns, I get 28km/litre and I'm happy about it .
And about loan part ,I don't believe in credit cards and bank loans ,they are vicious traps of going down the hill,if you have money buy it ,if not then wait for it.

Yeah, ofcoarse and today i found foam resting in my store room and i immediately cut it and applied to the front. That will deal better with water i guys.

And yes one more update. I am surprised to get 39 kmph from this thing even when my driving is aggressive. I couldnt push this beast more and still it gives such a decent mileage, i am impressed.:thumbup:

Clocked 300kms on odo within a day. Seems like Im driving a lil bit too much

Cant maintain run in speed. My speed always ranges from 56kmph to 67kmph and some occasional short burst to 6.5k rpm

Btw my bike is swaying to left side. what could be the problem? Im thinking The Bolt (below the ignition key)is too tight. Can anyone throw some light on this particular problem

                    Hi everyone
I feel like I should give in a review of my NS too.
I've driven her 1200k since the delivery of the beauty on the 2nd of October(Gandhi's birthday is a big deal to me now).
All I can say is that the Bike is awesome
I've had no problems at all with it
It rides great and thought I'm an amateur at bike-riding, I think the NS is a really good machine.
Just recently drove a 100km, to and fro, which was my first 'trip' on a motorcycle.
                    Learnt a lot of things
Like how to ride safely, maintain a speed(95kmph) but most of all, never EVER to drive that long in college formals!
Been picking up a lot of knowledge from you people, my fellow 'NS Men'.
                    Also, a question.
I did my run-in quite diligently, below 50 and 4k rpm
Gave it for service at 550km
Then after, I've been increasing the length of my gear shifts.
Meaning, from shifts at 4K rpm, I gradually went up to 7k.
                    Sorry for the terrible explanation
Haan so my question is just, have I done it right?
My engine really sounds nice now
Anything above 5k is just sweet sweet BBBBBRRRRRUM!
                    Thanks for the help guys

Just to be clear, I meant, from shifting at 4k I now shift at 6-7k

5k is ok for 2,3 & 4 gear for the taller 5 & 6 gear 6k or 7k is fine. Just don't over rev the bike in 1st gear. One thing for sure, the ns is really capable of taking lot of torture.

Upto how many kms are you suggesting these. And what exactly do you mean by over revving in 1s gear?

^As long as you want to keep your bike healthy. The first gear brings out maximum torque/pulling force right from the low RPM. Generally the tractive effort to pull vehicle from static is more than the force required to continue the vehicle in kinetic motion, this gives stress on engine & on clutch plates.
