Btw I saw a video from bajaj showing NS submerged in water for 1 hour and then started and driven without any glitches. Is that fake?? Now I doubt it

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Have any of you faced problems of water in the petrol tank in the heavy rains? My bikes usually parked in the open and seeing the rain today I'm a bit scared there might be water seeping into the tank.I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

lol, absolutely not. tank is completely sealed, no need to worry about that.Originally posted by Horror View PostHave any of you faced problems of water in the petrol tank in the heavy rains? "LOL i pushed my bike in that water by remembering that video only" -> LOL!.. hehe no the water test is legit, and i trust it. infact after reading your post i feel eager to try out knee deep water myself once it starts raining here in Noida, not scared at all. You just seemed to have bad luck i think. What's this bolt here for ? I always see the Mechanic uses it to measure CO levels, nothing else ?Originally posted by saurabhjd View PostLOL i pushed my bike in that water by remembering that video only.... Re: Pulsar 200 NS
siddharthsure: how deep was the water, if only silencer was submerged, then it should not be the problem, however if things like air filter or hose pipe or engine head or carb was submerged in water then there are chances of water entry.
The video that you guys are talking about actually has no value, since any bike will continue to work even if exhaust is submerged in water, there is a certain technique in riding that most offroaders and tourers know very well.
Moreover that video does not show what hpnd to the bike afterwards.
Exhaust is just a metal part and nothing happens even if it is submerged in water for some time....what gets affected is catalytic converter, if it absorbs water.
Hav you checked for water in petrol tank...just might be the case.
------------------------------------------
Guys the rear suspension of this bike is very stiff, i mean its too hard for pothole filled indian roads... Too bad...this is not the right way to improve handling...i mean c'mon this is not a race bike and ppl need some level of comfort too. Will try reducing the air pressure in tyres.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
The water was knee deep....
But it had a quite a strong force and waves were created due to cars passing by.... And though this was not the first time when I rode through water, I have been doing it for years, but this was certainly the first time when engine stalled

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
it is a bolt which is opened we can acces the exhaust gases which are fresh from the engine and not acted upon by the catalytic converter..it gves a better read of the CO% in the exhaust gasses...and hence is a better measure of the tune of the carbOriginally posted by broken87 View PostWhat's this bolt here for ? I had tested my NS , just like that video. No problem even starting. I think your plugs & caps were wet. Let it dry.Originally posted by saurabhjd View PostThe water was knee deep.... guys got ns training manual in my hands...
I think someone was asking for gear ratios of ns some months back
Primary Reduction : 3.272
Gear Ratios
1st : 2.83
2nd: 2.07
3rd: 1.56
4th: 1.24
5th: 1.05
6th:0.92
Final Drive ratio : 2.6:1 (39/15)
Was checking duke's gear ratios, its completely same, with only change is that in sprocketing....so if u want duke's behaviour, use duke's sprockets (if it fits)!!!

No, the suspension is on the softest setting, that is 1st notch, there is no scope to further make it softer, it came that way from showroom.Originally posted by smrutisourav View Postu can make suspension soft by 1 step though...

100 % agree, the graphics are not looking that good, may be its an indication that these graphics will also make its appearance in india also, maybe next year ... something similar to pulsar speedlines on old gen pulsars.Originally posted by Red_Redemption View PostBajaj Launches Pulsar 200 NS In Indonesia | MotorBeam – Indian Car Bike News & Reviews
with graphics - which i didnt like

updated console - removed the buggy oil pressure indicator

there are a lot of changes on the speedo console, the side stand indicator warning has moved to LCD display. bajaj logo is changed to kawasaki bajaj. the coolant temp., oil indicator and low battery warning -- all moved out of LCD panel to the left of RPM meter.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
not to miss out, the number plate has been moved to the top, like that in fz-s, look closely and we can find a lot of changes and I think they have made quite a lot minor changes for the 200NS launched there. . .Originally posted by princesirohi View PostNo, the suspension is on the softest setting, that is 1st notch, there is no scope to further make it softer, it came that way from showroom.
