When you say that you have similar kind of rear disc noise, is it only when you apply rear break? Cos in my case, I can hear this during low speeds even without applying break and while taking a turn too, Something like the caliper is rubbing the disc only in certain areas.. more of like the disc has a bend somewhere. This was the reason I got my rear disc changed but again I can hear the noise after some 30kms of ride.

Every bike having a Disc brake will have a small "khas khas" sound (of the disc rubbing against the brake pad) when you roll the bike without starting the engine.

But if the sound appears while running with engine ON, or if it happens on any particular instance(say while taking turns), then there must be some misalingment either on the disc, or on the tyre rims.
@Dileep - get your tyre alignment checked from some other reliable tyre repairmnent shop, (MRF ones)
Also If you have a center stand, then free up the rear tyre, and check by both hands if there is any free play on the tyre right or left side. If yes, then thats wahat causing the problem.

      Thanks Shibadip!
I checked the free play with the wheel by leaning the bike on the side stand but didn't notice any.. My service mngr had checked the wheel and axle alignment during my last visit but said everything is fine, that's the reason I asked him to replace the disc set itself.
But as you suggested will take to some reliable shop and get it checked once.

I try pushing from 1st to 2nd a little harder than the other gears to avoid this false neutral. It works out pretty well for me. It's been weeks since I had a false neutral
Btw, my friends who rode my bike for a little while had incessant complaints about it. But when I ride it, I feel the bike is perfect. Why is that so? I don't understand whether I'm right and they are wrong or if I don't realise the problems in my bike. Could it be that the bike has adapted over the past 950 kms to my style of riding?

its not the bike who has adjusted, it is u
and though it is working for u, but that is not the soultion and that doesnt mean that there is no problem with the bike..
somebody had suggested long back to use half clutch while shifting, that does help but then also once a while i do get false neutrals...
Also somtimes gear lever gets stuck while upshifting/downshifting and il have to try it again...

Try getting your carb tuned properly, though SVC guys will avoid doing it, you will have to be firm on them.

Also in your opinion, how much kms does it take an engine to open up??

and, thanks for your wish. and yes, i have a thing for Red, especially on the automobiles. However as per the current plans the next venture might be something in GREEN
You are lucky that you gears are smooth, even mine were really hard. But it can also be that your bike was already ridden some kms before delivery - I'm joooking...

If it's not deep, Some rubbing compound from 3M should do the trick!

There will be lot of errors, but I don't blame the RTO. I won't be surprised if the person typing it will not the difference between the old 200DTSi and new 200NS

I have heard Michelin makes good pressure gauges / foot pumps how much do these cost? Any idea?

@Rahuldevnath - buddy any mods to add a 12V connector on the NS as this will allow to attach devices like electronic foot pump, mobile charger etc.

              Something like this one:
Actually, that was there in my previous bikes including 220 and 180. In fact I had installed it specifically to charge mobiles and use electronic air pump, which we carried on our K2K trip, but never required it. Of course it's a 2 min job to connect that socket, but do you really need it, especially when we tubeless tyres!

@ rahul devnath, suro, and others who have clocked more than 3k kms or so.... are you guys getting false neutrals or not while upshifting from 1-2nd gear? Also does ur gear lever becomes completely free while upshifting or downshifting sometimes.??? the idiot SVC guys doesnt acknowledge any and says its alright n al...

At times, gear level would not come back to normal position. These problems have always been reported but were never sorted out. I will be very strict with words when I visit showroom next time, probably coming weekend itself.

Ha ha.. I know the feeling. I used get false neutral quiet often, but after clutch adjustment and altering my way of gear shifting, I rarely ever get false neutrals. Basically, the shift throw is more than any other bike, which makes it feel odd, at the same time providing positive shifts.

Right now my gear shifts are not really butter smooth, but very positive, especially when i'm redlining my NS.

Regarding that issues, that sometime gear lever becomes completely free and stops you from downshifting in one go. Well, at least it's common to many bikes. I had the same issue, post clutch adjustment it doesn't happen, and works like the way it's supposed to be, that is right from 6th I can shift to N, even at stand still.

So What did do? Nothing, just loosened the clutch! The SVC guys don't like doing it, and say it will spoil the clutch plates. It may, we never know. But I would rather enjoy my bike and don't mind spending 3K for changing the clutch plates as well. But I guess, it will not be an issue.

I agree with you Rahul, It seems that a little clutch adjustment does the trick. My bikes' gear shifts have improves a lot now after something is done by the svc guy. I am not sure what he did exctly as he wasn't around when I got he bike back. I am thinking of going to svc and ask him what exactly he did. The clutch seem a little easy now. Could be that he loosened the clutch. Not sure. Will try and find out what he did.

The false neutral issue is subdued quite a lot, and in other gears upshift is as smooth as Unicorn of my friend I rode once. While downshifting the issue of freely moving gear shifting lever is also removed to almost none. I am damn sure the SVC guy did something so that gear shifts become so smooth.

Even when i do clutchless shift its butter smooth. Absolutely no jerk at all. I hope this won't be short-lived happiness...

And yes even moving the gear lever a bit lower should help. The stock position is too commuterish. In lower position one's foot can apply more force on the lever for up-shifting.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

As we Discussed earlier, @RahulBarik also had made adjustment with his clutch (loosened them up). But his gears are Hard (really hard). I think there might be some connection between loosening the clutch and Gear shifts becoming Hard. He also said that the gears shifts became harder post the Clutch adjustment

                    1. Clean the scratch area with a soft wet cloth
                    2. Apply Formula 1 Scratch Remover (Formula 1 Scratch Out | eBay)
                    3. Then use quick fix pro.

Ya, the Oil from factory will last atleast 1500kms, so to say. Any how in your case, you will change it at the first service, which is perfectly fine.

And, when we loosed clutch, gear shifts will become a bit stiffer. In Rahul's case his bike is also new. Moral of the story is just stay with it till your running is completed, and then jump on SVC guys to sort out all issues!
