  • Since there are many queries on AFR tuning and some are doing the same on their bikes, here is a graphical representation of the AFR and it's relationship to engine power and resultant Exhaust gas.

And also please explain how many turns are needed to reach the optimum (based on the graph)...

by basics of organic chemistry when a fuel is completely burned(ie. 100% combustion) the productsof the reaction are carbon dioxide, water vapour and heat release(energy work or whatever the setup may be where combustion is used)

so the more the amount of carbon dioxide indicates better and more cleaner combustion...as indicated by the graph ther optimum air/fuel ratio has maximum CO2 release
yes ur vehicle will pass the PUC test as the vehicle is made under the govt guidelines of amt of maximum byproducts released in exhaust

CO2 is not a big concern for environment as much is CO(more harmful and toxic)
remember CO2 is what plants breathe..

every carb is differently made so there cannot be a universally fixed no. of turns for optimum mix..otherwise if it was so why the need to give a screw...it all depends on jet size, amount of air intake by the engine etc

                  • back design of mirror cover, makes me feel that it's made for led indicators...moreover by rubber covering of mirror shaft, we can easily hide the wires. Anyone going to try this mod, i think it would look awesome..

then why the hell did they launch it guys!
if I go above 38-55, the rattling noise is persistent and it shows up during patched up roads...
                      My odo reads 2300kms..
does any body else have this kind of noise from front doom(near the speedometer)
                      please help me guys!!

                      • Today being 29th Sept, it's exactly one month of my relation with My DESTINY.

Keeping that in mind, went for a long ride with her along with ToxicBiker with his ride - Romina. (he was also celebrating delayed anniversary of his ownership)
The Odo reading now stand close to 400Kms.. and will service her sometime Next week.

Right now I'm fully satisfied with My ride, whether in the terms of looks or in terms of performance. Just two issues remain-
                        1) Bad vibrations especially on the Console, foot-pegs, and the pillion seat, when the bike is revved beyond 4k..(this I think will go away after tightening the allen keys and changing the oil)
                        2) Even after lot of tuning the AFR, there is still a slight snatchy feeling in between 3.5k-4k RPM.( I am in a huge dilemma of whether to ask the SVC guys to tune the bike again)

Some toooo good pics were clicked by ToxicBiker on his DSLR. Pics will be Uploaded soon (till the time he transfers those pis to me)

Really something has to be done to the seat because today after riding my bike for 3hrs and that to in full traffic my butt is aching like hell and the pillion seat is even worse.
Planning to add some cushioning to it if possible.
