Oh.. I missed that..Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostGuys it's been long time that any one has discussed on tyres
How are they holding up?
I don't know much about performance n tyres as still run-in.
Please share your experience

In these 400 kms, I have skidded the rear tyre 4 times(every time during panic breaking). But i think it has more to do with the hard rear brakes than the tyres. The brakes are little too hard. ANyways I have the habbit of using Front brakes 90% of the time.
My Pillion seat has free play in the locked position. This is causing the vibes. Will look to change it in 1st service.Originally posted by ankur2smart View Postguys any solution to pillion seat? It has just too much vibration
including its foot-pegs.
Regarding others I think change of Oil, and tightening of the allen key will sufficesigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Thx..will remember that during my first SVC. So you going with which oil during first service?
Another thing i remember some one installing Pireli Sports demon tyres. Please please post the pic
Before buying the bike, I decided I would go ahead with those babies
but only after 5k.

I was talking abt the 200 NS carb.Originally posted by mayank.travadi View Postevery carb is differently made so there cannot be a universally fixed no. of turns for optimum mix..otherwise if it was so why the need to give a screw...it all depends on jet size, amount of air intake by the engine etcRiding is not about destinations, it's about journeys.

I did some googleing, and saw it is now mandatory to use IND number plates and that it (the plate) is issued by the RTO of the respective place. So was the one which u got the original one? With laser printed unique id and hot printed IND logo and all?Originally posted by aniketpassion View PostI did. Costed 500 rs. here in mumbai Stock ones r lying at home

yes, that's the resonance, its there on NS, till the time you fix it. All Bajaj bikes have been prone to these sounds. It's just matter of putting some double sided tape. You can insist from the SVC guys to rectify it, because its there on all bikes, it doesn't mean its not an issue.Originally posted by ajayfreezer View Postguys I am getting constant rattling sound from the front doom...went to svc but he said it will happen in all ns bikes
then why the hell did they launch it guys!
if I go above 38-55, the rattling noise is persistent and it shows up during patched up roads...
My odo reads 2300kms..
does any body else have this kind of noise from front doom(near the speedometer)
please help me guys!!
The tires, it seems skids on the slightest hint of loose dust/gravel/sand. Also thinking of moving to either R15s or PSDs. But Shibadip, don't rely on the front brakes. Though the rear skids easily, its also easily controllable. When the front looses the traction, you are sure to fall!Originally posted by Shibadip View PostOh.. I missed that..

I did find the reason for the buzzing sound on my NS console. It was coming from the cheek panels(that is what I call them), which accommodate the signal lights. I will try putting some foam tape on the insides of those panels. All other panels when tight do not produce any sound.BreaklessBiker

Yesterday went to the newly opened Bajaj SVC nearby my locality. TAlked to the SV Manager, and tried to make a good rapport. But He was still stuck that I have to change the oil to Dtsi one. any thing else will void the warranty.Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostThx..will remember that during my first SVC. @dipxmebh and @Rahulbarik have changed the tyres to MRF. However @Rahul is currently suffereng from DENGU!!!!!
IND No plates is mandatory in Kolkata, both for the two wheelers, and Four wheelers.Originally posted by Arun Magus View PostI did some googleing, and saw it is now mandatory to use IND number plates and that it (the plate) is issued by the RTO of the respective place. Yes, those are issued by RTO. But are of bad Quality. Although mine was good, but I have seen that few of other's plates were there where the Black painted Nos were already coming off.
+1 to that. I will not accept my bike till the SVC guys, removes those vibes.Originally posted by rahuldevnath View Postyes, that's the resonance, its there on NS, till the time you fix it. Actually since riding a P150 earlier (with Front Disc, and Rear Drum ), I'm habituated to use the front disc 90% of the time (during the normal Braking), and the rear brakes comes to play only during Panik/Hard braking. Till now (400Kms) my front tyres have never skidded.
But I completely agree that if the front tyres looses grip, It becomes dangerous and completely unmanageable.
Do tell if you are able to eradicate the problem.Originally posted by surampudijagadeesh View PostI did find the reason for the buzzing sound on my NS console. I however found that the small black visor over the Headlamo is loose, and that might be causing the vibes on my Destiny.sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Yes, the vibes at the console will go away if you tighten each and every allen bolt on the headlight, and the 2 bolts just below the headlight on either side (i.e the bolts attached to the suspension forks). When I tried that, I found the bolts could be turned 4-5 times before tightening them completely!! After I did that, zero vibes like I had mentioned in my earlier post. As for the foot pegs, the fs engine oil might do the trick.Originally posted by Shibadip View Post1) Bad vibrations especially on the Console, foot-pegs, and the pillion seat, when the bike is revved beyond 4k..(this I think will go away after tightening the allen keys and changing the oil)
Btw, my friend told me the tank shouldn't be as rigidly fitted to the chassis as it is now. Is that true? Please bear with me if it's a noob question!Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Glad someone mentioned about the seats, they are a real pain in the ass if we ride for more than an hour or two. Any solutions here guys??
also yes somewhere around 3.5k rpm the bike feels like its suffocating out of air or something.
I ve done about 300 kms in 10days, I don't get any vibrations except for the tank, where it could be felt when my leg is pressed against it.
Am gonna ask the svc guys to make the bike as vibes-free as possible during first service, saying that most people bikes have gotten worse after first service. so they may keep that in mind and do a proper job.

I also thought the same at first, but after removing all the panels one by one and checking with each panel on an off I zeroed in on the cheek panles.Originally posted by Shibadip View PostDo tell if you are able to eradicate the problem.

Will be looking into that in the afternoon.BreaklessBiker

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Yup. I need to give order and i got it on next day. Even the person told me that in future these plates r goin to be mandetory. But i went for these because they just give a nice classic look to my nsOriginally posted by Arun Magus View PostI did some googleing, and saw it is now mandatory to use IND number plates and that it (the plate) is issued by the RTO of the respective place. First scratches on the NS!!
Yesterday at office parking some people sat and did not put the stand correctly. Result, I returned to the parking after 3-4 hours to see my beloved Sonix stranded on the side wall. I pick up the bike to see there are scratches on handle, crash guard, the left mirror rubber is scratched and tiny one on the visor cheeks
. Asked the security person in charge about who did it, to get a reply 'I don't know saab'. At night 2 AM there was no supervisor available but I will surely manhandle the idots who did this
. Last time, a GSXR600 side fairing got cracked due to the same incidence.
Ohh btw, the low beam is not working. It got faulty would it get replaced under warranty? The 200NS does not get serviced in simply any BAL SVC as of yet. Only big dealerships and probiking has the knowledge and correct man power to work on NS till now and would be same for atleast the next 2 months. thats the exact reply I got when I wanted to put the bike for 2nd service today and get the lamp replaced under warranty. Heck thats bad n' sad!
I tried not to.. but they were hell bent upon. Good chaps were they!Originally posted by Arun Magus View PostPoor cops... U made a fool out of em...
Ohh btw, I just registered a complaint at office premises. Hopefully all the damages are paid to be fixed.Last edited by utsavchs; 09-30-2012, 05:35 PM.....Riding the Indian Monster : 200NS....
