Welcome back to your own thread How's your ride doing??

    4) Riding Posture - i know 99% on NSians will totally differ with me in this, and I accept it's totally my personal way of seating. Actually I can't ride with my arms bent. So to keep it straight, I totally shift to the end part of the front seat. Now for that I have to lean forward, and that put's pressure on my wrist, and it was paining a lot after that long ride.
However, for few minutes I exchanged my ride along with @toxicbiker's Fazer, and it just felt Ultra-Comfortable.
    5) Very Bad LOW-END Torque - I had to shift to the 1st gear too many times, and whenever the speed fell below 6-7kmph
    .
    7) the instrument cluster, and the pilot lamp going off with the engine kill switch, is also quite irritating, as again before starting you have to wait for the RPM needle to show it's flexibility. I just don't get - "For what purpose is the ENGINE KILL switch given?? that same could be done by turning the ignition key"
    1. You know I used to not feel the heat at all and was wondering why all are complaining against the heat. Today I drove mine with slippers, now even I feel the heat after driving in traffic... And yup even I feel in on my left leg...
    4. About the sitting position: I actually agree with you, even I had posted in one of my posts that this is my only major a complaint. Have to slide all the way back to the end of the seat and rest my weight on my palms. Result: after driving for 20-30kms, I can't feel my palms. Hope I get adjusted soon...
    5. Solution to your prob: Blip the throttle and have rpm more than 1.7k - works for me..
    7. Hehehe.. The engine kill switch does not turn off the break lights, I think

Luckily I don't have any issues with the gears or false neutrals or even the lack of power 2k-3k... Or I have already adjusted to it..

Lol, you might as well make a song out of it.. ride it for quite a few kms to get adjusted to it....
BTW sorry to hear about your experience but look at it as an experience and opportunity to have known the manager. Next time you take your bike to that SVC, you'll get better response.

Awesome.... Loved the photos... sorely regretting that I could not make it.

ps. I looked at the thread after a week and had to do my homework of reading more than 100 pages.. My mom thinks I'm doing some R&D on the net

    • Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS

      Hello Friends...

This is my first post after joining this forum.

I got my NS on 13th june and since that day the bike is plagued with problems. The Bike has not even clocked 2000k and i have to continuously visit the service center. Below is the list of annoying problems that i have faced constantly.....

      1. Oil Pressure Low icon continuously blinking on the console
      2. All the switch gear getting stuck
      3. Screeching sound from rear disc
      4. Fuel supply pipe getting clogged
      5. Rear foot peg jammed at open position
      6. Engine stopping erratically anywhere

Last but not the least that i faced today...( i was planning to go to lonavala but thank god it didn't happen over there).... Complete Electrical Failure.

I tried to meet the Bajaj representatives but all my efforts were in vain.
Its been a very bad experience for me and i hope no other 200 owners have to go through this!!!!

Even with the engine kill switch off...the passing light , the indicators , the horn , the brake lights still function...

                    • Scratch near the rear end of the bike.

Hi Guys, I just found a rash (like something has been scratched) just beside the rear seat (don't know who did it), and its looking bad it has just been 2 days me getting this bike, i am deeply saddened.

Please suggest if there is any way, i can color it ( blue) or what to use, so that the scratch is not that apparent?

Secondly, i wanted to replace the horn, can anyone guide me which Horn to use, and if we can swap the new horn in the same place as the old horn?

Thanks a lot for your help guys, hope some can help me out in this

                      Cheers!

                        !
Changing the horn would void the warranty. But if you still want to go for it, try the P220 horn.

As far as the scratch is concerned, if it ain't a bad one, try using a rubbing compound over it. Should fade the scratch.

Thanks a lot Myth for responding, what rubbing compound should I use? if you can suggest a name and a brand that would be great!

And does the horn fit in the same spot as the original one? should i be buying the p220 horn from the bajaj ware-house or else where?

Coming back to Warranty, when i inquired about it from the dealers, they only told, warranty is for engine, not for headlights, indicators, even the Display panel! Is this normal?

I know its lot of questions, but trust me buddy, i am new to this and i really appreciate all the help you guys can offer and that is what lifts my spirit

I felt it only during sudden acceleration. RD mentioned he had also noticed it. Haven't heard about any solution for it. Do let us know how things work out.. I am also planning to get it to the attention of the service engineers.

Anyone who finished run-in feeling engine is rough ? Cheers VJ
Will check the nuts tommorow and the sound is from the lower left hand side from angle of the riding position... Engine is going good and smooth(this after i changed my oil, was rash n rough in BAJAJ guttar oil)... only this sound thats catching my attention from last 2 days... will let you guyz know whatever the solution will be...

                              1. Although I haven't used one personally, but a 3M rubbing compound should be good.

                              2. The P220 is a dual horn, I think you can adjust it somewhere in the same area, if not exactly there.

                              3. What if your headlamp goes kaput??...or your indicators don't work?...or the display panel doesn't work??
Of course the SVC will rectify it free of cost (i.e. if you don't mess up the whole thing). The dealer is giving you bullshit! The whole electrical system comes under warranty. The display panel also comes under it.

Seniors, correct me if I'm wrong.
