Superb work by you in ptr review of ns ... international standards..
Which bike next?

Are you sure about karizma beating ns? .. karizma r has a true top speed of 124kmph..
Ns must be able to beat karizma when ridden at fully crouched position ..
I can touch 138-140 at a drag. And you know me Rohan, me being extremely light weight. Anyway, i would say the NS can beet the Karizma, its just that the wind resistance was a little too much and i could not duck down completely as there were slow moving traffic when I tested.

Ns must be able to beat karizma when ridden at fully crouched position .. I still have kept with me all the three bikes. I have not did a drag between K-R & P 200 Ns since my p 200 NS is in rinning in period. The initial pickup or torque is almost the same in Karizma and P 200 Ns. However, I feel Karizma is more stable than P 200 at high speeds.
The cornering and handling on hills seems to be better with P 200 NS. Both bikes are on par with each other- one being a naked bike and other a cruiser.!
The 220 can woop Karizma any time. The new 220 I mean. Both Karizma and 220 has really god initial power.
Guys please excuse my Karizma. I have put in K&N airfilter and done porting on the bike. The initial power will get your heart pounding!!!

I totally Agree!
no way the 200ns can match the karizma's torque..never...it doesn't even come close...even a noob can make it out... Karizma and 220 are torque monsters.... No offence though
Yes! I am with you on this one. 200NS cannot stand up to the Karizma at initial revs but at final the 200NS will have an advantage.

The new 220 has advantage over the Karizma.

And as you said bro "I kept the lead till 120km/hr and then the Karizma just went off as its got a fairing and so aerodynamic. The top speed of my pulsar touched was 125 and the Karizma 138. And yes My Karizma has a K&N air filter tuned for max performance." Its all wrong trust me... i defeated 2 karizmas on bangalore-mysore highway (one karima was of my friend's) on my way to coorg and about top speed.... if you pull full throttle of ns it reaches 130kmph on 5th gear with 160kg approx weight ratio (two person and one luggage(on both the bikes)) you won't be able to see karizma behind! max top speed i reached was 138kmph but it will touch 145+ on single pillion ride for sure!
Please excuse my Karizma. Its got K&n AND is ported! I have achieved 0-100 in 9.x secs. Dont remember the details it was 1 year back!

1) The false neutral is killing man...
2)Wrist pain...not during long rides but during the traffic and continuous braking..
3)Have to clean your bike everyday...

but guys please try this....dont shift to second gear as soon as you start...
Let it pass some 3k and then shift to second gear and see the results..

During downshifting...i.e, from 2nd to 1st...try not to brake only at 6th gear.... downshift equally with braking......

these things will reduce false neutral atleast.........
I wait till RPM reaches 4 before shifting and all others I wait till 5. And Yes downshifting as slowly as the speed comes down is the right way to do it!

This is my first post after joining this forum.

I got my NS on 13th june and since that day the bike is plagued with problems. The Bike has not even clocked 2000k and i have to continuously visit the service center. Below is the list of annoying problems that i have faced constantly.....

1. Oil Pressure Low icon continuously blinking on the console
2. All the switch gear getting stuck
3. Screeching sound from rear disc
4. Fuel supply pipe getting clogged
5. Rear foot peg jammed at open position
6. Engine stopping erratically anywhere

Last but not the least that i faced today...( i was planning to go to lonavala but thank god it didn't happen over there).... Complete Electrical Failure.

I tried to meet the Bajaj representatives but all my efforts were in vain.
Its been a very bad experience for me and i hope no other 200 owners have to go through this!!!!
Could you please elaborate you point on the Fuel supply getting clogged? Please explain how you figured this out and the symptoms? Did a service guy confirm the issue or is it your observation?

Well service manager said that they have serviced 50 Ns and no one has complained anything regarding that so he wasn able to comment any further.
Bajaj customer care send me a mail stating that real power of bike is displayed after 7k RPM. Even they escaped from real problem But not everyone is facing that problem actually. I guess slowly slowly everything will come back to normal.

As for the warranty thing even I am not sure
Thanks buddy, can you tell me where on the bike did he install the new horn? pic would be helpful.

Yeah, if anyone can confirm if the warranty is only restricted to engine, or it includes all the parts (display, horn, headlight etc)

Today, I put new a SEAT COVER (custom Stitched) , i will attach the Pics tomorrow.

Well a bit above the stock horn. The mechanic took wiring from the stock horn. Even my friend wanna know whether installation of an extra horn is considered as void of warranty or not??

• A month back when i was driving my bike, i felt a loss in throttle and the bike stopped after few minutes. I tried to start the bike but it didnt budge. i waited for like 10 minutes and it started but the very next day the same thing happened. i decided to visit the service center

I was there..when the service person was disassembling the bike, he showed me the fuel inlet pipe...it was some foam like material stuck over there that surely cannot have come via the fuel tank....

Today i went back to check on the bike, they told the reason for the electrical failure was the faulty Ignition switch which they replaced.I really have no idea what else is there which can fail anytime .

I don't know whether i am the only person facing these problems or what...

Its really sad that i am not able to take the bike for a long ride ...

• Which Brand tyre should i changed to?

Guys, please advice on which brand of Tyre should i go to swap out the existing Euro-Grip? what price should i be paying for the same, just to ensure that i am paying the correct price

Should i change both the Front and Rear Tyre? When is it advised to change the Tyre, i mean should i consider it changing right after i buy, or after few 100 KM?

What is the apparent issue with the existing set of tires? I am new to this hence lot of queries appreciate all your help.

Well euro grip tyres perform good on dry surface. You get wonderful grip however, it's in the rain where these tyres give up. You have to be very careful during rain as it makes rear wheel lock very easily.

I have heard MRF offers tyres for NS so you can go with them as they will offer better quality at reasonable price.
If you really want awesome performance then kindly look at pirelli sports demon, just no other competition what so ever.

I would suggest you to wait until 5k, then you can change the tyres. Usually 10K to 12K is considered as the time to replace tyres.

I forgot to mention about the vibes. Don't tell me there werent any vibes in 5 years

I am not a pro biker but I have the experience of 50k+ kms in P150 and 1700+ kms in 200NS. Actually I dont feel that there is a need to change the tyres. Eurogrip may not be a good brand but I dont feel these stock tyres are that bad. Dry & wet grip, cornering everything is just fine. Actually I have never skidded even once. This is just my opinion, you ride with stock tyres for some time and then decide.

I totally agree. Give euro grip a chance, I am sure they won't disappoint you If you still feel they aren't doing good enough you always have options

Shocking compare to my bro's FZ, I find lot of vibes in older generation's Pulsars. Anyways it's good to hear that when you have a experience of 50K then I am sure you are at least semi-pro

It's very hard to compete with brand as big as YAMAHA for any company.
