I too haven't faced any such problem, infact I was facing a rattling noise around instrumental cluster, I didn't gave it a damn(lazy me) and to my amazement that stupid noise automatically disappeared later, NO problems, this bike is more then 94000 can buy.Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostThis wednesday I ll be getting my ride so I cannot comment on the bike that much. But still just because the real power of NS lies after 7k RPM that doesn't mean that during 2-3k RPM it should feel like that(As reported by many xbhp riders).
did you ever face this problem dude?My favourite thing is to go where I have never gone.

Hey Shibadip, to skip on the RPM meter lag turn the engine kill switch to OFF position right after killing the Engine, it would turn on the instrument cluster without the RPM needle movement.

As far as I know installing a horn or any electrical instrument on the NS will void the warranty of the complete electrical assembly i.e the wiring , bulbs, console, lights ,etc.So you might not be able to claim warranty if anything goes wrong with any electrical component later on...Originally posted by zeph_syk View PostThanks buddy, can you tell me where on the bike did he install the new horn? pic would be helpful.
Yeah, if anyone can confirm if the warranty is only restricted to engine, or it includes all the parts (display, horn, headlight etc)
The issue with the rear tyre is that it locks up very easily...especially in wet conditions...& kinda 'floats' on gravel...Originally posted by zeph_syk View PostGuys, please advice on which brand of Tyre should i go to swap out the existing Euro-Grip? what price should i be paying for the same, just to ensure that i am paying the correct price
Should i change both the Front and Rear Tyre? When is it advised to change the Tyre, i mean should i consider it changing right after i buy, or after few 100 KM?
What is the apparent issue with the existing set of tires? I am new to this hence lot of queries
appreciate all your help.
You can go for MRF Revz-S 130/70-17 || Price should be around 2.5-3k INR
Rahulbarik has got one already...I've attatched a pic of his Revz-S...
Or you can go for Dunop Tuff Grip 140/70-17 || Price should be around 2.5k-3.2k INR
or else PSD is the best a man can get
...it would be expensive though...
But my advice for you will be to ride with the Eurogrips & if you feel any lack of traction then only you should go for the tyre upgrade.
Also , the less you use the tyres the better will be the price you can get in exchange of them....
Agree...today while I was on my way to college ,I almost met with an accident...cuz the rear wheel locked up due to wet conditions...Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostWell euro grip tyres perform good on dry surface. You get wonderful grip however, it's in the rain where these tyres give up. You have to be very careful during rain as it makes rear wheel lock very easily.
I have heard MRF offers tyres for NS so you can go with them as they will offer better quality at reasonable price.
If you really want awesome performance then kindly look at pirelli sports demon, just no other competition what so ever.
I would suggest you to wait until 5k, then you can change the tyres. Usually 10K to 12K is considered as the time to replace tyres.

A noob " I don't wear no riding gear guy" broke the traffic signal & stopped right in front of me...& the rear wheel locked up in no time & I fishtailed my ride a little so as to avoid a head-on impact with his 100cc bike or else he might had to take home a "50cc here + 50cc there" bike

However , the bikes did collide though no scratches on my NS whatsoever...maybe my leg absorbed a part of the impact but luckily I didn't got hurt

I'd also like to share one more story with you guys that happened today evening while I was on my way to gym...I was riding in my own pace when a fellow CBR 250R guy came by my side & asked me regarding the mud splashes on the NS (as I have removed my ride's Mud-guard)...also when I discovered that he has the K&N stock replacement air-filter on his 250R I told him about my concerns regarding K&N filters damaging the engine & he said that only the conical one damages the engine & not the stock replacement one....also I checked the spark plug of my friend's P 220 (carbed) to see whether he is riding lean or not & it turned out that the AFR was perfect...the spark plug's head was a desirable brown colour...depicting that the AFR was appropriate...
This has put me into dilemma again whether to opt for K&N (stock replacement one) or not...

Am going to give my ns for first service today. As somebody mentioned, I also am getting a low rattling sound near the headlight something like some plastic cover in the wind.
The tyres are not that bad in dry weather but in wet they tend to skid a little, may be because they are new or because of the tyre pressure.
An idiot in a BMW hit the mudguard/flap at a signal yesterday (he would have flew over me if his car could fly I think) an it seems to be a little bit bent. Anyway going to remove it today.
The coolant level stays near min, need to have it topped up.
I don't think, the engine oil is good quality, the engine sounds harsh, though there are no other problems with idling, acceleration or anything, but can anyone suggest me a better oil, please.
After 700km, I have only one serious complaint. No one seems to take it seriously when I blow the horn. A mopeds horn sounds better. It is sad that they wont let us change it.BreaklessBiker

good morning folks...
I have been a watcher of this thread since a couple of days. Read more positives than negatives. Yet, someone please help me by telling me if there are proper fixes found for repeatedly reported problems like that of oil sensor, electrical issues, and tuning issues.
I guess this needs to be known before the bike is bought.
Thanks.

Just summarize it for me na

When I took the delivery of the bike I was prepared to face the common niggles like the oil sensor ,idling issues ,engine getting harsh ,screaching nosie from discs etc but till now I havent faced any of them and neither have my frensOriginally posted by ankur2smart View PostCan you tell me what and precautions have you followed until now?

,this might because bengaluru got the bikes pretty late and the common issues might have rectified .
And regarding the care nothing much just the usual keeping the RPM under 4k with occasional 5k for few seconds ,idling it for some time before riding and also i try to ride in all gears as much as possible .sigpic < --BENGALURU-- >

I read somewhere that the issue of "leakage due to FS oil" is not an issue at all. The FS oils like 7100, 300V have esters in them, esters have superior detergent properties and they tend to wash away the unburnt slurry like hydrocarbon that are deposited in the every slot, corner of engine. Sometimes with an old engine, due to this unburnt HC compounds engine gaskets, joints etc get damaged, but due to deposition of slurry like stuff the gaps are filled and hold up any possible leakage. When FS oil with esters is used in such engines, they just wash away the slurry stuff which is what they suppose to do and in this process open up the already made leaks. This is what makes it look like FS oil cause oil leakage in some engines. Its not the oil that is the culprit, in fact it brings an actual problem in light which was already present which i think is a good thing. I don't think any modern Indian bike like NS should be facing this issue as the engine technology has improved a lot.Originally posted by ajai5777 View PostYes. 0-2000 mineral oil, 2000-5000 semi synthetic, after that fully synthetic. This would be nice but I am not sure about if any problems like oil leakage etc in using fs oil in 200 NS. I have heard that earlier pulsars had problems with fs oils.

Yamaha YZF-R15 has Better Features Than Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS - Articlegenerator
I can't understand how people come up with such great articles..
My favourite lines from this article - " For
instance, you will get better
performance while riding Yamaha bike
because of a high powered engine
accompanied by twin headlights and
stylish position of tiding that fulfills the
wishes of bike lovers " , "test rising to arrive at a decision " and " When you look at Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS
price, you should not be surprised as
it is cheaper than YZF R15 by Yamaha
as there are noted differences when it
comes to the features of this bike.
Although, the design of the Yamaha
bike is sportier undoubtedly, the
features of this bike such as the
presence of disc brakes on the tires
provide more safety to the rider." Wth????????

....ha ha ha...they say "Having incomplete knowledge is more dangerous that having no knowledge at all.." this is quintessential example of this...
Can't help but to ignore the ignorance of this "Pro-biker"...
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

+1 to that.Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostWell euro grip tyres perform good on dry surface. You get wonderful grip however, it's in the rain where these tyres give up. You have to be very careful during rain as it makes rear wheel lock very easily.

Well if you have the moolah then go them otherwise if you are not a cornering/speed freak then i suggest stick with the Eurogrips they are not that bad at the end of the day for day-to-day commute. And better save that money to buy some quality cleaning/washing products for your bike / rim tapes and maybe that LED pilot lamps. These things will prove as a better investment IMO. Just my 2 cents.
