Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Turn the key, start the engine. If the console works immediately when the engine starts, you are having a voltage issue. If the console starts working a few seconds after the engine starts, it is a problem with the console itself.Originally posted by deep007 View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
So my coolant pipe had worn out and had few cuts which led to leaking of the coolant emptying the coolant tank. I brought a spare of the coolant pipe and got it fixed at a local mechanic. However, during the process, when he removed the coolant pipe, all the coolant in the system was drained and was filled with Motul - Motocool Expert.
Also, he tried to remove the coolant pressurized cap and failed thinking the coolant needs to b filled through that later the coolant was filled trough he side tank.
Problem: I ride my bike for about 15 mins, the radiator fan starts up. This used to never happen for 2 yrs. Kindly help.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey guys... made a small DIY mod on the bike which I am looking for your comments on. I got this idea from one member on this forum itself.
The unfinished look
The wiring
For the time being vacant area on the grill on which the number plate was affixed has been replaced by the reflector which was earlier below the number plate. Will be posting a completed pic tonight of the look in the dark and with the reflector.
Important - Make sure the polarity does not get reversed in case using an LED in the number plate illuminator else it wont light up. Also, please ensure that the naked wires do not touch the frame at the same time when the bike is on else you will blow the fuse, in which case, open the other side panel of the bike and replace the 2nd fuse from the left with the one on the extreme left (15A) [Learnt that the hard way

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Finally yesterday I got this (option #5) delivered. On first touch by band it was squisshy. I tried few methods to fasten against the P200 seat - I could not get the gelseat positioned well on the original seat. I had a chance to drive just for a KM only and it seems it is comfy to my butt. A commute to my work or a short trip might help to access but it would not happen until this weekend. I will post a detailed review if possible after that.Originally posted by Narayanan View PostSearch this thread for few posts that described a gel seat - buy and use type. It is sold by RedLinePlus.in Automotive Products Web Store - RedLinePlus.in Web Shop and they have the arrangements in different configurations:- Kit for DIY by you
- Kit for DIY by themselves
- Purchase stock seat and do the mod and send to you
- You send the seat they do the mod and send to you
- Strap on gel seat
- Gel seat cover - tied up - for specific models only.
After following up for option #6 where they did not have any P200NS visited them so far and hence they did not offer option #6 for me. Then I have ordered option #5 and awaiting the delivery. I feel this (the above options from #2 onwards) is better than DIY because of the spray glue I need to buy. Finally I started to like my choice which i had to adopt because of the fate. The silver lining behind the option #5 is after spending close to Rs.3K it is not stuck to my P200NS any more. I can use it on any machine and can be on and off as well.
I am not in any way attached to shop.redlineplus.in other than spreading the news and goodness I came to know and enjoy to others.
If Chennai P200 guys wants to try they can ping me.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
That's the coolest mod. But trust me, you have to find a way to cover up that numb plate holder steel frame. It looks blank or unfinished. I find the tire Hugger so unstable, wonder will it safely hold the num plate and light?. Plus, what's sticking out on your crash guard, horn or fog lamps?Originally posted by GauravD View PostHey guys... made a small DIY mod on the bike which I am looking for your comments on. Great brother. I was expecting some review from our forums. You mean P200 NS? or old P200?. Also I see two products, which one did you buy?(2500 and 2800 something). Please share your review soon, I get pretty pain or discomfort on my thighs which are close near the start of tank. How soft this is, how much does it look odd, can we park with this thing left or should we have to remove every time?. Please post pictures.Originally posted by Narayanan View PostFinally yesterday I got this (option #5) delivered. On first touch by band it was squisshy. I have asked about seat cover, but unfortunately they don't have for NS. I'm in need if this urgently. Thanks...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
If you are so desperate, you can collect mine and try it out yourself (as I am not commuting on my P200 NS (was there a P200? I am aware of only 150, 180, 220) this whole week). I will post my review but that will happen after the week end as I do not get chance to ride the bike this week. I will leave my contact details in your private message.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostThat's the coolest mod. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thanks bro. Yup i figured that one out. For the time being I have stuck the reflector onto the steel frame (the same one which is found sticking out from under the number plate on the original set up). I would be getting rid of that frame altogether once I get my new set of turn signals.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostThat's the coolest mod. Tested out the set up on Gurgaon roads, since its equivalent to off roading in some areas) with the bulb burning and I found it still burning post its ordeal so I am guessing it is stable. I dunno if the following might have been the deciding factor - upgraded to LEDs on the lamps a while ago.
They're 20W each projector lamps bro
Got one on each side.

1) Check for any leaks of coolant or loose caps/pipes
2) Release the air bubbles on radiator on left side. There is a small nut of 8mm size, loosen it and see if coolant leaks out, then tighten it again.

You are one hell of a rider dude. Projector setup?. I recently saw an NS in Chennai with two projectors on the crash guard which were bright whitish, but that fellow didn't power up the head lamp and I was wondering if that was to save powerOriginally posted by GauravD View PostBro it is the original tail light assembly of my NS which has been rearranged.

Does the projector help increase your visibility?. I've been waiting for this 100/90w setup, but couldn't get time to involve.

I can well relate to the NSian in Chennai. I do not need to power up the headlight in case the projectors are on in the city. Visibility is slightly less in areas powered by halogen street lights due to the Kelvin difference however in darkness it works like a charm. Plus, roaming around with just the projectors powered on makes people turn and stare at your ride because, lets face it, we don't see too many projector lamps being used as aux lamps.

Combined with the headlight it works miracles on a dark street if your projectors are aligned properly. I came to know the actual benefit of using aux lamps (read projector aux lamps) on NH4 when riding from Pune to Bangalore and again on NH17 when there were no street lights from Shimogga to Karwar. It is a blessing in disguise !!!
