Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Actually the problem I am facing is hiccups when I open the throttle especially at and after 5k rpm, below 4k rpm also the acceleration is not linear and there are jerks. So,were you facing the same problems as mine? Or its the problem with the diaphragm?Originally posted by nikzcool View Post

I had a similar problem with much more problems.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostActually the problem I am facing is hiccups when I open the throttle especially at and after 5k rpm, below 4k rpm also the acceleration is not linear and there are jerks. Had got diaphragm checked multiple times but there was no fault in it .
Had the issues from day 1 from the date of purchase.
And I had visited almost 6 svc for this.no one identified any fault in carb or anything .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
This is the hose. If it's open/damaged, air will get sucked through it. This can create a drop in vacuum. How much it will affect performance varies depending on condition of your air filter, tuning etc. May sound strange, but it's true.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostSo should I get that pipe checked?
This hose has a plug at the other end. If that's missing, the hose is open.Last edited by krixna; 01-21-2016, 01:37 PM.

Also check these two screws (clamps) under the carb. If loose, air leak. Another thing, have the choke checked for leak too.Originally posted by krixna View PostThis is the hose. I think he refers a small cut in the joint of the tube. Don't know over time it will rupture...as his one is kind of old. Mine looks a proper fit though.Originally posted by krixna View PostThat is the drain plug. Pipe doesn't look damaged.

Do we eve need this unless we have added some loads on battery?. It looks fancy, but doesn't seem any significance of having it when there is not changes with electricals. Any idea?.Originally posted by GauravD View PostThanks buddy... Now i have a guide sorta thing to atleast compare.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I checked the pipe just now it seems fine and that white plug is also there on the other end. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I was looking into the DIY for the 200NS Coolant change and had the below questions:
1. Is it really required to wash the radiator with distilled water? Or would regular water be ok? Or is washing needed at all?
2. Should the copper washer be changed...what are the problems associated without that be changed?
3. The radiator needs to be filled only with the coolant right? Or should it be mixed with water as well....i am using MOTUL MOTOCOOL.
Please advise.
Hey bro.. dont worry about finding the size. Just walk into any hardware store and ask for a spanner set. All the sizes you need would be in it. Would cost approx 500 - 600 per set. I would recommend the open mouth spanners vs the closed ones since there are some areas a closed mouth spanner would be utterly useless. Get on ebay / flipkart and look for a ranch and socket set under hand tools. Most of the times you would not be using anything more than a 12 size socket unless you decide to open up the rear tyre nut using it, in which case, God bless you!
The other option provided as a link in the previous post is also a good option at 600 bucks however it is only for general stuff, if you wanna get your hands dirty then I would recommend a full fledged set of each.
Thanks a lot Gaurav for the detailed description.
Had all the tools ready and the self servicing starts now

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Don't know what is the purity of your water, so better wash with distilled. Copper washer is for preventing leak. If it doesn't leak, it's good. Check with the coolant container. It will be mentioned how much water you have to use. Usually 50-50. Again, use distilled water to play safe.Originally posted by rohanm123 View Posthttp://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...placement.html

Well ... you are right mate. We do not need this if we haven't added any loads to battery. I have added aux lamps (40W) and am looking to make some more additions too.. Some might run while the bike is in motion, some might not so just as a safe side I added it.Originally posted by jbm_guy View Post

As of now though... its just for show ... feels good seeing a flipping number light while riding ...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
jbm_guy, I have posted a review of the gel seat in this site's forum section. As said, those who are in Chennai can get in touch with me if they want to try out this seat. The only issue is the front seats are to be removed for dismantling and fixing.
Cheers,
Narayanan
